Probably one of the worst customer service experiences I've had at a Panda Express. The employee helping me, Jass (I believe that was her name), acted like taking my order was a complete inconvenience. No smile, no friendliness, and just an unnecessarily rude attitude from start to finish. What really got me was the orange chicken. The pan was basically empty, and she literally scraped together the old pieces from the very bottom to make my order. Then, immediately after serving me, she refilled the pan with a fresh batch of orange chicken. Seriously? You couldn't wait a few seconds and give a paying customer the fresh food that was already there? It's not even about the orange chicken at that point. It's the complete lack of care or basic customer service. If someone is spending their money at your restaurant, scraping the bottom of an empty pan for their meal while a fresh batch is ready to go is just a bad look. I normally like Panda Express, but this experience was incredibly disappointing. A little friendliness and common sense would have gone a long way. read more

I came to this location 15 minutes where they were closing. I got out of work late. I had no other options to know who to my house so don't judge too much. Hahaha I looked around the offices. They had left because I did not want them to cook anything since they were so close to closing. One of the employees came up to me and asked what I would like to eat, and I asked her if there was anything being cooked at the moment that would be out front.. with no hesitation all the employees behind the counter all said don't you worry about it we will cook anything you want. Located in the upstairs food court at Fashion Valley mall, with easy access to the parking structure. There is plenty of seating in the outdoor food court area. There are an abundance in the shade for sunny days, and working heaters when it's cold. There was a short line, but it moved quickly, and service was friendly. We stopped in here just to check if they happened to have a plant based protein option and they did! I like the Panda Express on Mission George.. it's close by, very quick and easy to order. Reasonably priced and an efficient process to go In, get served and leave. I love ordering using their iPhone app in advance since they rarely make mistakes with the order ... But last night I tried to take advantage of a Birthday Reward and was shocked that after ordering 2 meals $28.00 worth of food that I needed to add 4 more items to get this "Birthday Reward".. so I complained to the line manager and he essentially looked it over on my phone and shrugged it off saying that's the way it was.. that bothered me a bit.. almost every time I've tried to redeem a reward there it's been a big hassle in the app so I have a ton of unused reward points built up and it just frosts me a bit that the Rewards are fake gimmicks to get you to order more. read more

Terrible. Terrible food, terrible service, terrible attitude of employees. I visited the restaurant on Balboa and Genesee and ordered the broccoli beef with noodles bowl. They hardly gave me any bb and when I asked if they could add more, she said they had to charge more. I sat down to eat and noticed the broccoli tasted like pesticide and the beef tasted old. I only ate 1/4 of the bowl and showed it to the employee who said they always use the same recipe. I asked if I could get something else instead. They gave me a tiny amount of orange chickens to "replace" what I paid for. I reluctantly accepted it and left. Came home, told my husband about my experience. He drove over there to talk with them and was lied to. They said I ate the whole bowl of noodles and broccoli beef and there was nothing to exchange. I showed 2 employees the nearly full bowl of food; they said to my face they could not take the food back. Fine. But why lie about it? The place was not crowded, understandably. I am very glad this location opened, very convenient if you get hungry while shopping. They have a nice front outdoor eating area and inside seating, and I particularly like the panda artwork inside. One thing that affected my rating is the front entrance/start of the line. It is a rather small area and if there is more than a few people in line, it runs outside of the door. Not the best design but the line moves quickly and the staff are very efficient. As for the food, I always get half and half of chow mein and fried rice and my favorite entrees are the orange chicken and mushroom chicken. The fortune cookies are also a great addition and who doesn't love fortune cookies?! You're probably getting it for one of two reasons -- either because it's right there or you hate yourself. For me it's usually the latter, but for the most part I'm done with Panda Express outside of satisfying a particularly wanton craving. This review is born out of that, quite frankly. Because on the occasion I will give into said craving, I've learned that this is the Panda Express to visit in the area. Not only is the food "better" -- fresher, better made, who really knows -- but they also generally have the full menu available. This is the only location I've seen that has the Honey Sesame Chicken, which gives the OG Orange Chicken a run for its money in my opinion. Very very disappointed now the food was great but the only problem I have is that I ordered 3 plates through GrubHub and every time I get my food. I have to spend the 1st 15 min picking out cabbage and onions out of the noodles. Also I ordered pepper chicken for my brother in law and he picked out all the onion cabbage and celery that I literally always order him 2 sides of pepper chicken to make up for everything he takes out. I will add a picture so you can see my plate and the one that I already picked all the cabbage out. It's ridiculous it's about 1/2 a pound of cabbage.
