I couldn't possibly imagine a business with slower service, always having everyone in the drive through pull into the parking spots and wait for 35 minutes is ridiculous, especially when it's 100+ degrees outside having everyone wait like that. Ordered 2 meals consisting of 4 different entrees (broccoli beef, mushroom chicken, orange chicken and honey walnut shrimp) with 3 sides (chow mein, fried rice, and brown rice) for delivery from the E. Sheldon St. location in Prescott. The order arrived on time and was warm enough, but both styrofoam containers contained very little meat, it was 85% rice and noodles. The separate container with the walnut shrimp was a decent portion. All of the food was bland and flavorless except the walnut shrimp which was very sweet but still the best of the entrees. I have eaten at a lot of fast food Chinese restaurants (including some other Panda Express locations) and this was easily the worst - a total waste of almost $40. I won't take another chance on this place and would definitely NOT recommend it. read more

This Panda Express is uniquely horrible, and unqualified to be open for business. Half of my orders are made with errors and/or containers with liquids are not sealed properly. Wow the food to me is awful. The medium size honey walnut deep fried shrimp still had tails on. The supposed hot stuff on the menu had no heat, an each dish felt like it was missing a couple spices. Tried Panda Express again after a couple of years of avoiding them, and I'm glad I did. Some marked improvements to the food is the biggest reason to be happy here: food was fresher, better prepared (no more chunks of white rice in the fried rice), and they've added some new things to change up the flavors. The orange chicken with bacon is a nice addition, though they have the original without as well. Hope they keep this up; there are limited options downtown for fast food, and it's nice to have something other than a burger once in a while if you're in a rush. read more

Panda Express has signage in their restaurant advertising online orders with the ease of simplicity, convenience and rapid order pick up. Today was the third time I have ordered online for this restaurant and the third time I've been disappointed. Today I ordered for a 1230 pickup. Food was not ready. Cashier acts like it's an inconvenience that I'm even there. I wait 17 minutes after my food was supposed to be ready. At least 10 people waiting in line ordered their food and paid while I was still waiting to pick up my food order that was already paid for. I could have saved time by not ordering online. Stop into this location at exactly 8:40pm and the store has posted that they close at 9:30pm. I asked to order chicken teriyaki and was told that they weren't cooking anything else until closing. There were only about 4 items to choose from and didn't look very fresh. The person behind the counter was pretty rude and the staff only seemed concerned about cleaning so they could leave. If a restaurant says they are open until a certain time then they should serve the menu . I will not be patronizing this location ever again. It was 45 minutes until closing, not 10 minutes. Horrible Service at Panda Express and Refusal to correct their error I stopped in the Prescott AZ store #1780 for a take out order for my family. Several items were left out of the order even though paid for and I did not check that before leaving. When I arrived home and noticed the missing items, I called for a credit. The general manager, Denise, refused to give me her last name, and offered to give me the items that were left out, if I returned to the store. I live 12 miles away and did not want to have to waste my time and gas to correct their mistake. She refused to give me a credit. I asked to speak to her superior, and she refused to give me his number and gave me only his first name, Miguel. I offered to give her my name and number for him to call me. She refused to take it saying that Miguel handles 10 stores and he doesn't handle "things like this." She would only give me a corporate phone number in California, which number kept me on hold for 15 minutes before I hung up. I will need to call my credit card company and challenge the charge. First let me say I did NOT take them up on the offer of a free meal. However, this location has definitely turned things around. The vast majority of the time their food choices are fresh, warm and available. I'd say that there are still issues 20% of the time but that is far better than they were. Went to this location to order several items; went through the drive-thru and was told that it would be a wait because everything was being cooked which was no problem for me as I want fresh cooked food. I paid at the window and was told to wait in the parking lot. I was in the lot for about 15 minutes when one of the staff came out to ask if I was waiting on an order. I told her yes and she proceeded to tell me that they were totally out of one of my favorite items, which is why I came here in the first place for. Instead of the manager coming out to take responsibility for their oversight (they should have a system in place to tell customers at the time of their order they are out of something instead of when they are waiting for it), they send out someone who works the line, which is inappropriate because that person has to go back in and handle food. Instead of wanting a substitution, I chose to have the whole order refunded and go someplace else. This is not the first time I have had a problem with getting what I wanted, but this is the first time I had to wait to be told that they were out of the item. This is completely unsatisfactory customer service and the manager does not have any solution for customer engagement, so this is absolutely the last time I will subject myself to disappointment. How do you expect a customer to be disappointed over and over again and stay in business? On top of that, since I used a debit card (on a 3-day weekend), the refund will not reflect back to me until Wednesday or Thursday of next week, if that early. A Debit Card is like using cash; if you issue a refund, issue the cash back. I had a long day on Wednesday, 7/10/19, and went through the drive through. I noticed that the woman in the car in front of me was having a long discussion with the order box, and when I drove up to give my order, I found out why. It was 8:30 p.m. and, although the posted closing time for the drive-through was 9:30 p.m, the counter person brightly asked if I would like to hear WHAT THEY HAD LEFT. They were OUT of almost all entree items, and even the chow mein side dish, no egg rolls, nothing that I wanted, but since I had already waited in the drive-through for 35 minutes and there was another car behind me, I had rice and two small portions of the remaining entree items. I asked the counter person when I arrived at the window if this happened often, and he said IT HAPPENS EVERY NIGHT. And I asked why, and he said CORPORATE WANTS IT THIS WAY. Apparently, corporate is fine with running out of all entree items and disappointing their customers. The goal is to not have any leftover food at the end of the day. If I could give this establishment 0 stars, I WOULD. This is a lengthy review so buckle your seatbelt. Today my father and I decided to have panda express for lunch since it was nearby. I originally told him I would prefer to go somewhere else because of what happened the PREVIOUS time I was at this location. The last time I came to this location was around the end of July and I had the worst customer service experience. The girl who took my order at the speaker was extremely bitchy and had a gross tone when taking my order. I get up to the window and express my concern about this.... and this bitch SNICKERED at me and slammed the window shut. Of course after this I thought I was never going to come back. My father however convinced me to go, saying things may be different. We go in and order bowls with half chow mein and half rice, well of course with our luck they are out of BOTH of those things. Whatever we'll just wait, it could only be a few minutes right? Of course not. We go to sit down since there is also NUMEROUS orders ahead of us who are also waiting for the noodles and rice. We wait about 15 minutes... every other order has gone out... but our two bowls are sitting on the counter empty? My dad goes up to an employee and asks why we were forgotten and tells them what we ordered. And what would you know... the chow mein that we had been waiting on was now EMPTY and had to wait ANOTHER ~15 minutes. As you can imagine how fathers are, he confronts the manager AND the assistant manager. The manager, Denise, claimed that there was a reason as to why this happened, however, she knew the answer was not "sufficient." Apparently the employee neglected to tell the her, the manager, about our order and what we were waiting on. My dad tells me this is untrue as he did, in fact, hear this employee tell the manager. At this point we have been waiting for a good minute and we're watching to make sure we get our food. We finally get served and our food wasn't bad, it was fresh (as I would hope... we did wait a lengthy amount of time). I also want to note that the girl who originally took our order was wandering around aimlessly while it was busy and our bowls sat empty on the counter. We then look at reviews of this location to see if others have also had a bad experience. Well you guessed it! Apparently there have been reports about poor food handling here and there have been multiple cases of food poisoning!!!! I guess I'll have to leave an update if either my dad or I get sick. The only decent part of our experience was the assistant manager coming up to our table and apologizing for our experience. I got some rangoons on the house which was nice of the guy to offer. this location needs some serious guest relations training. first they opened late. They let another crew member in at 11:01 and didn't say anything to everyone waiting outside. then when they finally did open the doors they just unlocked them. they didn't even open the doors and great the guests. My food was very fresh! We ordered orange chicken with chow mien, and an order of mandarin chicken. They were a little confused when I ordered the mandarin chicken solo with no starch. They were even more confused that I wanted a larger size than the small dinky box they tried giving me. In the end the mandarin chicken cost $9, but the box was packed full and the food was just freshly cooked. Also, we went to the one in Prescott Valley! Very clean and fresh. read more

The last two times I have been to this store a chair has been place in the drive-through lane, to indicate it is closed. The dining room was open, though, so I placed an order (although every single entree, other than the premium dishes, were out and had to be prepared). The young woman who helped me indicated that the store has had trouble with personnel. Not her fault, the franchise owners need to get a handle on this. There has not yet been a "Help Wanted" sign out when I've been there. Wanting to give the store one more chance, I hedged my efforts by signing up and placing my order online. I figured this would give time to have dishes prepared and ready when I went to pick up dinner. I paid by credit card, as I did not see an option to indicate I wanted to pay in cash upon receipt of food. The credit card was charged, and I received an email confirming the order and pickup time. I got to the store at the assigned time, parked and tried to go in (based on the last two visits finding the drive-through closed). There was a hand-written sign stating the dining room was closed because of lack of staff. I stepped back to see that the drive-through sign said "Open", got back in my vehicle and proceeded to go through the line, only to find that the drive-through, also, was not open. An immediate call to the 800 number posted only resulted in further frustration, as they accept calls only Monday through Friday (and a message cannot be left). I won't be commenting on food. I'll just say that I would not rely on this franchise location for regular hours, or food advertised. Future business will be directed to local restaurants. read more

There was a 5 minute wait on chow mein followed by a 1 minute wait on orange chicken when I arrived causing about a 10 person pile up. Although I complained about the boyfriend wanting to go here, the orange chicken and lo mein is always good, the food fast, and the flavor consistent (for better or worse). We drove in from Phoenix to spend a few cool days and decided to have the first night's dinner at an easy going, economical place and chose this Panda Express. They had run out of Shanghai Angus Beef and the staff immediately cooked a dish for me. I don't know why Yelp has it ranked at four dollar signs when two dinners consisting two entrees, shrimp and beef, cost $17.00. Great food and accommodating staff.
