I ordered a dish during checkout. I asked if they had duck sauce. they confirmed they do, so I ordered some egg rolls. The girl lied to me. They only offer sweet-and-sour sauce. The two sauces are completely different. I'm dissatisfied that people do not speak the truth to their customers. If you don't know the truth, then ask so I bought a food that I did not eat because I did not have the sauce that I wanted with it. Looking to grab a quick meal while passing through Palm Coast we ended up this Panda Express for dinner. My pet peeve about this chain is that they never have all of the food ready at the same time. You are usually stuck waiting for something to finish cooking. I did notice that this restaurant looked very clean and bright and I do like that they have low carb and vegetarian options in addition to a their many meat dishes. Even picky eaters can find something to eat. I usually order the lo mein for my side with the orange chicken and honey walnut shrimp ($1.50 upcharge). It was nice that we didn't have to wait a long time for our food and the staff seemed like they were on top of things. The portions were very generous. As far as fast food goes at least you can get something relatively healthy here. read more

The pretty girl at the counter was so extremely nice and I think this might have been the best interaction I've had in a fast food place, usually it seems rushed and uncomfortable at fast food restaurants but today it was so nice and warm, def coming back just bc of Hayden! The rice was cooked perfectly and the orange chicken was good with a little kick at the end which is was nice. I guess I go here just in hope it's under new management. These people are determined to make Palm Coast the hub for food borne illnesses. If I could give zero stars, I would. I walked in and the person making online plates saw me, huffed, and then asked could she help me. As to say, I'm bothering her while two people sitting in the lobby, one sweeping, one putting in rolls of quarters at the register, and another person hidden behind the wall where the "sink" is. To complete, the online order, she asked the guy sitting at the table drinking a canned drink with a black hand brace for 2 egg rolls. He walked straight to the kitchen from the table, opened the fridge, and grabbed two egg rolls with the braced hand. I know he doesn't take that off to use the restroom, let alone to wash his hands. So, I told the girl what I saw, she turned around and didn't say anything. I turned and walked out. I couldn't make out what someone mumbled as I walked out because it would have been in this review. Same pattern, different people. So, now, Panda doesn't require employees to wash hands, wear gloves, they can put their hands in the middle of your plate, pull up their pants, rub hair and touch plates, wipe runny noses with the back of their hands while making your plate, push up glasses with the same fingers digging in the plate, and serve food with medical devices exposed without gloves or covering. I'm waiting on the day they are shut down because too many people will become sick from this place. This is heaven telling me to eat more at home because these restaurants are not giving quality training or the employees are not retaining information or refuse to implement the training. read more

I arrived at 8:25pm and there were many people standing around waiting for their orders. There was literally 3 main dishes to choose from...Orange Chicken, something with Shrimp and something with Steak. I asked about a few of the chicken ones and she kept telling me they were out. I had to order something I didn't want and was very disappointed. To make it a bit worse....How can you ruin a fortune cookie? This is a very dirty place and none of the workers have been trained for even basic sanitation. I spotted workers using no gloves, touching their phones, nose, and other things without washing hands. Advertised as Chinese fast food. Our grandson is the one who encouraged us to try their rangoons". Rangoons? Ok. We ordered the plate; Chow Mein, Orange Chicken and Honey Walnut Shrimp. And of course, Rangoons. We were pleased with the fast and orderly way our buffet style meal was put together. And our grandson was right on! The Rangoons are so good I might one day make a meal of them alone. I gave 4 stars only because the good was good but I have tasted Chinese food in restaurants I like better. This location was pretty typical of every panda express I've ever been to. The staff was nice and friendly and the food has good ingredients for the most part. I find that the noodles tend to be kind of pasty, I don't really know how they manage that but however they do it, they do. Flavor of the noodles is nothing special. Keep in mind this is fast food Chinese so it's not like you're going to get gourmet food but if you keep your expectations in line with what it is then for that purpose it's pretty decent. I had a chicken mushrooms and that was good. The sauce was mild, it was pleasing but it was nothing special. I often get the sweet fire chicken. I like this because it has red peppers and pineapple in it along with the tasty sauce however the chicken nuggets that comprise the bulk of this are mostly breading with maybe a little smidgen of chicken on the inside. This is pretty typical for everyone of their fried chicken-based meals including the new general tso chicken. Interior was clean and the kitchen because it's open is always clean, the ingredients are fresh and it looks great, it just isn't anything special. For fast food take out however this is a great choice. read more

We told him what we wanted as the replacement and not even five minutes later Matt does the same thing. These two were amazing and very funny. First and Last time in Panda Express Palm Coast! My 8 yo and I went into the Palm coast location with 3 people ahead of me, got our food order in right away, they changed people to fill our bowls 3 times...ok no problem. 6 people behind the counter and 1 on the 2 registers...ok no problem. I watch them take my 2 bowls (with shrimp) and place on a scale and then they put my 3 orders of Crab Rangoon in a bowl under heat lamp...ummm ...o..k.., no... problem? Woman in front of me tells them her order is wrong and they left her crab Rangoon out of the order (they are looking at her receipt diligently debating whether she is right or not, and can't seem to find said order) to which the young man (visibly frustrated) behind the counter threw his hands up in the air and exclaimed "I'm Done!" So, a young girl took over. He then proceeded to tell his coworkers how the woman in front of me was just trying to get free food. So now they have taken my orders of Crab Rangoon to complete her order. (Ok I get it, but my food is ready, why not just ring me up and give it to me?) ok so now it has been 20 minutes since we ordered. they finally give the woman her food and they start taking people from behind me as I can see my shrimp just sitting there.... Ewww.... And now my 1 order of rangoon has been sitting for 20 minutes under a heat lamp and have been handled by at least 3 different people. After being completely ignored and being told nothing at all I asked if I could get my order and is it warm still (meaning the rengoons)? To this the same young man exclaims "THATS IT! IM DONE!!!" Again, the young girl comes and says to him "that's ok, I'll take care of it." and then she turns and says nothing to me. (I have paid at this point). I wait 10 more minutes and finally ask to refund my card. To which the response was screamed at me "We had to make more shrimp for your order" "ummm I never asked you to remake it and had anyone bothered to speak to me about anything I would have just asked for the crab Rangoon. This is the worst service I have ever experienced. And it takes a lot to tick me off in the industry. I was not allowed to refund my card because they were still cooking my food apparently (which they just throw in a buffet anyways, so it was not a waste of food!) I have been waiting 30 minutes with my 8 yo and I am supposed to keep waiting? Not ok! So now I call corporate - Let me tell you how great that is going. 3 phone calls with promises to call back - never got them. Then wanted me to produce a receipt... This was 20 minutes after it happened!! The receipt was in the trash when I thought I was getting my food! I explain that the MOD can grab the receipt at the end of the evening when they go thru their credit card receipts. Nope not an option. So, I send her my credit card statement to prove the charge. I've eaten at Panda Express many times, here on the east coast and back on the west coast as well. It's usually a quick & tasty meal. This was by far the worst Panda Express meal I've ever tasted. I ordered the green bean chicken, and had to throw out the green beans as they were dried, shriveled, and literally inedible (I tried). Bummer because I usually love the green bean chicken. After throwing out the inedible green beans, there was exactly one small piece of chicken left, the other meat was the broccoli beef. Just look at the photo. Chow mein was dry, broccoli was shriveled and most pieces so chewy they had to be thrown out as well. Truly a disappointment, will not be returning to this location. read more

However, I was immediately contacted by a customer service representative who very professionally and courteously responded to me and assured me that they would pay attention to that situation and make the necessary corrections, not only in the quality of the portions they served but also with the staff. Yesterday we ordered food again and the difference was noticeable. I don't know how they did it but they obviously acted quickly and we were very satisfied, especially with the way Yin served us and the courtesy she extended to my wife when she learned that my wife was a nurse. If I could give this Panda location zero stars I would. We've ordered food at this location 3 times and each time we have had a bad experience. I tried giving them the benefit of the doubt the first two times since things were chaotic earlier this year but even those two times were unacceptable. The first time we ordered food, we ordered online and picked the food up. After two hours the food was still not ready and a woman working in the front was throwing people out because they had walked in without a mask on. I think politely asking them to put one on would have been more appropriate. They didn't seem to have any organization whatsoever. The second time we ordered food, we walked in and ordered for carry out. Again, the woman taking orders was incredibly rude! They took over an hour to get our order ready while we stood there. Seriously? I will also add that we did not have anything special about our order, just the typical stuff on the menu. The third and now final time that we ordered food, we decided to try the delivery option. Big mistake! When you place an order online for delivery, there isn't an option to add your delivery address. So I tried typing our delivery address in the "special instructions" box... then submitted the order. I saw on the confirmation page that somehow they had two separate delivery addresses, ours and a completely different address unknown to us. I called them on the phone and explained that there wasn't any place to add the delivery address and that I wanted to make sure they had the correct address. Once again, I was met by a rude employee who actually told me, that they "had no idea how the ordering system works, I've never used it before". I said, Well ok, I need to make sure this order comes to the right address so how can we fix that? They told me they would write down the correct address on the receipt for the driver. We did get our order, but we were missing a drink (go figure) and the chow mein noodles were completely dry and cold. The other items were chewy and overcooked. Each time we paid a hefty sum for such crappy food. Lesson of the story for me is... don't keep going back to the same place hoping they will actually be better the next time around. I am really thinking that I must start cooking at home more often. At least, I will know the cleanliness of it. Every time I go Panda Express, a worker is rubbing and touching their hair, nose, arms, money, or adjusting their pants with the gloves on. Then precede to put their tainted gloves in your plate as if the gloves repelled the germs from all the object they've touched. It seems restaurants don't do food handling or customer service training anymore. Those are going to be hidden arts that people will need to be trained on before food service jobs. When I do go in PE, I asked the workers to change their gloves. Some get offended and others do it. Today, an employee wanted to get an attitude because I asked her to wash her hands after rubbing her nose then put her thumb in customers' plates. She told me she never puts her fingers in the plates. I said I just watched you do it several times. Then she wanted to argue and preceded to put a glove on. I looked up and shook my head. I'm glad someone else took over. The previous employee went to go tell the cashier what happened and he just looked as I smiled. I asked for a side and the cashier, with no gloves on with register tainted hands, put his fingers in the box. I told him I didn't want that box and told him what he did. PE has to do better.
