We walked in at 7:15 PM and we were in shock. The woman who is working the food area greeted us. But that's the only good thing that came out of that restaurant. The garbage containers were completely filled up and trash was stacked on top of one another. The floors were incredibly sticky and not clean. The tables were sticky and not clean. It seemed that nobody had wiped the tables off. The workers were standing behind the food area talking to each other, and not doing too much as far as we could see. It would've been nice for a manager to see what we saw and get out there and make the place presentable for a family to have a dinner. Once again, I tried the drive-through at this location and once again, the drive-through was not being attended. Waited several minutes, and someone finally told me drive-through was closed to come inside. This is at least the fifth or sixth time this has happened this year - I guess I haven't learned my lesson. Why can't they post a simple sign on the order kiosk that says drive-through is closed, please come inside?? There are always cars coming through behind me, so I think there is a lot of business being lost. Perhaps the manager/owner doesn't know this is going on? Or perhaps they don't really care? Why is this place even open? Every time I come by they tell you the driver thru is closed and when I leave they have an employee staring out the window at you? What's the point of having a drive thru if you don't let your paying customers use it? I experienced the most amazing customer service at this location from a young lady in the drive thru. I had to look around to make sure I wasn't at Chick-fil-a. That's how great the customer service was, she was so pleasant and friendly. She was so sweet and attentive. She surely deserves a promotion or some kind of recognition for making me feel as special as she did. I may call the restaurant tommorrow(today) to let them know about this situation so she can get recognized for her amazing customer service. I've worked in customer service pretty much all my life I know what it's like to be on both sides. Not sure of the girls name but I went on a Friday around 7pm ish. (I checked my receipt, it says her name was Susan) Anyway. I ordered chow mein and cream cheese ragoons. The ragoons were soooo yummy! The chow mein would have been better if it was fresh, but I was hungry and that chow mein had no chances of survival. It was my first meal of the day. the manager Alex is extremely rude. can't even be bothered to answer the phone let alone address a customer service issue! i accidentally ordered from this location, and had to drive 30 minutes to come pick it up since he told the super kind staff over at the Darien location that he was unable to transfer or refund the order. it was my fault, so i didn't mind driving. but when i got there, he had already given my order out to someone else, and refused to give me a refund, claiming he didn't have the capability in store. and refused to make it again since it was over 30 minutes old! of course it was old, i just drove a half hour to pick it up! the staff at the Darien location tried to help me, but he refused to work with them and me, and hung up on them in the middle of the conversation! the shift lead Jesus from Darien was kind enough to call me back and follow up. After he rudely hung up on his fellow teammate, he said to me "i already refunded you, can i help you with anything else?" ... i thought he didn't have that capability? bottom line, don't go to this location. read more

Authenticity aside, this place historically was clean, quick, dependable, fresh, and a good bargain. It never had stingy portions loaded with poor quality gristly meat. This is my second visit to this location and my last! It was a total waste of money and most of it was 86'd! So I ordered the two entreé bowl/plate with noodles/chow mein. Both entrees were peppered angus beef. The meat was full of gristle and the texture was chewy, and if that was a double portion how paltry a single must be. When I opened the box the chow mein was piled high but little did I know the noodles were propped up by a pile of rice I couldn't see! Shame on Panda Express! Every time I am at this panda, it's a 15 min wait for teriyaki chicken. The last time I ordered broccoli and beef, it had 3 small pieces of beef and all broccoli. Today, I drive 10 mins there, get in drive thru, only car, no one in front of me or behind me. I ordered half rice half greens, teriyaki chicken Beijing beef and orange chicken. They tell me 15 mins if I want to wait for teriyaki, this is at 6pm like prime time dinner from 5-6pm nothing should ever run out period. So I change the teriyaki to string bean and chicken, well they don't have that either. It's quite common for this panda to be less than efficient at customer service. Save yourself time and go to Gin 28, where they actually take care of their customers. Since you have to wait 15 min ever time you go to this panda, might as well wait 15 min to eat that real food from Gin 28 read more

Heads up: I am a definite fan of THIS specific panda express location. I've had panda express in malls before or other random locations, and this one is the best one that I've been too by far. First of all, I love the fact that they are ALWAYS cooking something or bringing something from the kitchen, which means that the food there is usually fresh because a lot of people stop by. I have never been here without waiting a good 10-15 minutes for some sort of chicken or veggie dish. I always tell them that I don't mind waiting for a new batch because I don't like Chinese food ( yes, even panda-styled Chinese food) lukewarm. While I have never eaten in, I always go inside to order my food so I don't know how the drive through is.
