Orange chicken

Stopped by this one in lake St. Louis when we regularly go to Wentzville. We did not go in and used the drive theu. Order double serving of orange chicken and rice. The serving were skeet ( unless other locations just hook it up) and looked older like the sauce had absorbed into the meat. I was starving and started to scarf it down. After a few bites I bit into a bone. Not a tiny bone either it was a pretty big one with the marrow inside still. Kinda ruins ur meal. Emailed corporate weeks ago and a generic email back and attacked pics to that and never a reply. Sent a follow up email back after 2 weeks and no reply and have yet to hear back.

Decided to give this location a try for the 7th time and yet again I was disappointed. Went on 5/10 around 3:30pm. The food was cold and tasted as if it had set under a heat lamp all day. The Orange Chicken was soggy and the Chow Mein was cold and dry. It was even discolored. Possibly overcooked or set there to long and shouldn't have been served. I understand places are understaffed at the moment, but as paying customers we are not looking for bad quality food, especially if we are dedicated to wait in line since the lobby is close. If we are committed to waiting, then the food quality definitely should be a lot better. I don't plan to go back to this location.

Lobby remains closed and after work (6:20 pm) traffic was heavy in the drive thru. Line moved pretty slow, it took us over thirty minutes to get to the window. They were making fresh orange chicken so we agreed to wait a little longer. Workers were friendly (maybe just understaffed like many other businesses) and did the best they could to get us fresh food! The food was good too.

The entire order looked like this. Unpalatable but a hungry teenager was in the car with me and he was starving.

"Not good" hardly describes my disappointment. Dine-in not offered at this time. The girl taking the order was talking so fast that I was unable to understand her. I politely said so, but she made no effort to speak more clearly. I ordered two soft drinks and three orders of the cheese Rangoon. The Coke and Dr. Pepper had carbonation but no flavor. The cheese Rangoon were all over cooked to the point of unappetizing (I'm being nice, here) and one of them had literally no cheese at all. Two of us but only one fortune cookie. Ummm... ? I would have gone back to complain but the line of 12-plus cars was a no-go.

"Sweet fire chicken breast, broccoli beef, and chow mein."

This restaurant is a hit or miss every-single-time. More recently it has consistently delivered misses. 9/10 times there is a 5-10 minute wait for AT LEAST one of the entrees. 50/50 chance you will receive lackluster food and/or small serving sizes. Today, I received a total of 5 pieces of what looked like popcorn chicken in my plate of "sweet fire chicken breast." In addition, everything was mushy including the vegetables, beef, and chow mein. I will not be back again. I'm tired of taking a gamble with this restaurant.

The first step into the restaurant it was busy and clean. They took my order right away. I got a plate which includes choice of rice or chow mein or both and two entrées. I got my order to go. I chose both rice and chow mein; first I had a girl but once I stepped forward some guy took over and I told him what I wanted. He made me feel so rushed. Like they wouldn't even give me time to look at all the choices. It's not like I had anyone else after me. Gosh. Anyways I ended up adding on an order of egg rolls too. My total came out to $11 if you round up. I got home and open it up. They gave me two bites of rice and some noodles. I know I'm not a big eater but what the hell. Half a piece of an already small piece of chicken and four pieces of some Shanghai steak thing. If I wanted a kids size dinner I would of order a damn happy meal. For sure never recommending this location to anyone or returning.

Went to go through drive thru and they closed 15 minutes early. Rushed to get there and was turned away. Super frustrating

Closed before 9 pm on 6/29 because workers wanted to close early. Very poor service. Gave a lame excuse about technical difficulties

I can't recall the last time I've been here and the food isn't cold or skimped. Friendly workers, but cold & underwhelming portion sizes

Family owned business that is sometimes great and other times just average. This time we ordered…read morethe General Tso's All White Meat Chicken, the Chicken with Orange Peel, egg drop soup and spring rolls. Everything was good and seemed fresh. The egg drop soup was very good with a lot more egg than most Chinese restaurants usually put in it. They do charge extra for all white meat, but it's worth it to me. And they're usually pretty accommodating about switching things around fried rice versus white rice, eggrolls versus crab rangoon, etc.. This time they were confused by my order so they called me back to reverify it before making it incorrectly which I really appreciated. Better to be safe than sorry! Based on today's visit we'll keep coming back. One of our favorite dishes from there is the chicken with snow peas, but opted for something different today.

Crab Rangoon was ok- kinda sweet. Best thing we had…read more Husbands beef fried rice was ok- kinda dark. "Nothing special", he said. I ordered some kind of chicken/veg dish (Non spicy, not sweet/sour, no broccoli (maybe sesame or garlic sauce)) ?? It was boiled or something that had no color or any flavor or spice appearance. The sauce was yellow goo. The menus doesn't help me find it again- many items do not have a description. The worst part was the smell. The onions and mushrooms seemed to be the culprit. I tried to pick through the bland chicken to have something to eat at least but that smell was too much and I just pitched the whole thing. It did not seem to be a healthy, natural smell. My husband said it was a heavy garlic smell.

Unfortunately, the woman who answered the phone today spoke so fast she was difficult to understand. I'm assuming she said something about holding when she answered, but it took me a moment after saying, "I'd like to place an order for pickup," for me to realize I was on hold. When she came back on the line, I gave her my phone number and told her I wanted to place an order for pickup. Again, she said something really fast and with her accent, I couldn't understand what she was saying. I said, " I'm sorry, I didn't understand what you said." She repeated herself, just as fast, and I had to apologize again and tell her that in still couldn't understand what she said. All I got from what she said was, "Something something something O'Fallon." Before I could ask her if she'd mind saying what she said more slowly, she'd hung up on me. I called back a few times, it went straight to voicemail, and then when it did ring through, I was hung up on every time (after a few seconds of silence first). I promise, I was not rude to her when I told her I couldn't understand what she said. I'm really disappointed, I love their Coconut Chicken and have been thinking about it for over 2 1/2 years now. I was willing to drive 20 minutes to come get it and pass many other Chinese restaurants along the way.

We did take out, which was extremely fast--even on a Saturday night. I had the sesame chicken, which was very crispy, but I like that. They have a mix of Vietnamese and Chinese food items to choose from. My mom isn't a big pho fan so it's nice she got to pick a dry noodle dish she was more familiar with. What we ordered & ratings: Pan fried dumplings: 10/10 can't go wrong with dumplings! Beef pho: 8/10 unfortunately very salty. If it wasn't so salty it would have been delicious. Cup of egg flower soup: 5/10 too much cornstarch and no flavorful at all. Like drinking thick pudding. Chow Mein: 10/10 saucy, bouncy noodles and lots of crunchy cooked veggies! Sweet & Sour Chicken: 9/10 I really enjoyed the breading. It almost tasted like a donut bread. But I'm knocking a point off because there was mostly breading and not much chicken. But still very tasty!! Service: There was NO ONE inside when we arrived. So service was quick. They took their time with the food as I imagine they were freshly preparing that so I didn't mind waiting. Our service was very sweet and she was nice. Ambiance: pretty big establishment with lots of seating! Great for a big group to come in and enjoy lunch! Final Review: Yes. I WOULD come back to this establishment if I were visiting the area again.
