Stopped by Panda Express while on the road and honestly, I'm surprised this location has such a low review average - my experience was great. The food was exactly what you'd expect in the best way - fresh, flavourful, and consistent. No complaints at all there. Service was smooth and efficient, and everything went as it should. If I had to guess, maybe this is a location where dining in gives you a better experience than takeout - but either way, I had no issues during my visit. Overall, a really solid experience. Not sure why the ratings are lower, but this visit definitely deserves 5 stars. read more

Food was ordered to go. Drive home was 13 minutes. Sat down and food was room temperature at best. First give a way was no water condensation on the lid. Tried the new sesame beef and shrimp. Waste of the extra $1.50 add on. Watermelon, mango refresher only tasted watermelon. Service was good, outside was clean, went thru the drive thru. No good reason why food was cold. Wow.. boy, was I surprised to see them plummet in a few months. I was here when they first opened and remember being pleasantly surprised with their speed and quality of food. Fast forward 6 months, now it's a *complete* opposite story. The server didn't know her entree names, and it took me 3 times to stop her from scooping fried rice in place of white rice. Half the entree pans were empty and she actually told me 10 minutes on teriyaki chicken. I normally disagree with a lot of yelpers writing mainly about services more than the food and giving them lower stars. But in cases like Panda Express, where "speed" is one of the main ingredients of their whole shtick, I'm left with no choice but to rate them on the lack of employee trainings, ability to keep the food available, then finally the quality of food drastically dropping due to [clear] lack of understanding, passion and communication between the kitchen staff and the front line. I decided to give Panda Express another try. I tried something different this time. I had the chow me in which is not bad. It just has a slight taste of freezer burn. I ate the orange chicken which is great. I enjoyed the flavor and the freshness of it. I also tried their cheese Ragoons. They are not bad. I do enjoy the crispie outsides and the chewy inside. I've been to other locations in other cities and was excited to try this new Toledo location. This location is super modern and offers plenty of parking. The seating is very bunched up and not a ton, so when we first got there, there were no tables available. The facilities were clean, but they had boxes sitting in front of the bathroom doors, which seemed odd. Getting threw the line was a bit of a disaster. The person dishing the food served us a wrong side and the cashier almost acted like we were lying when we told her we did not get one of the sides. They corrected our bill, but forgot out fortune cookies. The food was pretty good for the most part, but some of it was cold. Would recommend trying this place, but go in realizing their employees are still getting the hang of it. read more

If it was possible for me to give less than one star I would!!! Please be aware of an employee named Sierra/Cierra. Her energy is extremely off putting and negative. I didn't get a chance to eat or enjoy my food because of the little to no portion I was receiving. All in all don't go if you want to be apart of a true genuine Panda Express experience. I'm unaware of the level of experience Miss. Sierra has but If she is the manager she is definitely trying to save money by giving the MOST pitiful portions. Today I went through the drive thru....and got served disgusting slimey, gray colored carrots. The other veggies weren't as fresh as usual either. Really sad that the employees even served this. Let me start by saying I am a long time fan of Panda Express. This location however, worst Panda Express experience I have ever had. The service is always good here, however the food quality is bad, portions smaller than other locations, and does not taste like Panda Express should. The one on RT. 20 is fantastic. I have been to that location many times and always had a great experience. The Airport Highway location needs training on quality control and how to properly cook and prep the food. read more

Food was ok. Service here is terrible. Walked in this early evening, there was 1 couple in line ahead of us, and and a couple gentlemen sharing a booth. So, not very busy. This was my first time in a panda express. So I had a few questions. This annoyed the girl helping me. So I start with my order. I am looking at the choices through the glass, when I look back up, she is gone. She walked away mid-order. Luckily, she comes back. We finish our orders. They are out of egg rolls in the window. They will make some and bring them out to us. Ok..so I pay. Needless to say, they didn't. And when our meals were finished, we walked to the counter to inquire about the missing egg rolls. We got our egg rolls, and a healthy dose of attitude. Piss poor management is all I can attribute this to. I can't patronize this establishment again until they get their shit together. Very surprised that the food was not very good HOWEVER it is better than Magic Wok by far. I got the most expensive beef, mushroom and green bean entree. It was room temperature and there only small 8 bites of gristly meat and they charge extra $1.25 for it? Mushrooms in it were but You don't get much at all. The stir fried rice was nice and plentiful. The egg roll was completely limp and not crispy. The soy sauce and yellow Chinese mustard appeared of high quality but was mild and not spicy. One but. We came for a late lunch, 3 ish. I wanted to order a small Beijing Beef but the last little bits in the pan looked old and not enough to fill a small bowl. I asked for fresh beef and was told that could not make anymore. I asked why and the young lady didn't know. She was helpful but whomever she asked didn't want to make more beef. The Beijing Beef gave my husband food poisoning and as much as I'd like to pin it on anything else on Panda Express it was 110% the beef. We had nothing else to eat the entire day and he was feeling perfectly normal until a couple hours after we ate. When I brought this up to the manager, he was very dismissive and unbothered. Besides that, the workers are typically rude and take order quite inefficiently (not understanding repeatedly, incorrect order, etc.) The food itself is mediocre. read more

I've been to Panda Express locations elsewhere and knew what to expect as far as the food. They do a decent job for a fast food Chinese restaurant. However, this location has many issues. I've been there twice and both times they forgot items I paid for at the drive thru window. When I went inside to get my items I was not apologized to either time. The second time they forgot an eggroll. The employee handed me a cold eggroll and I stated it looked burnt. She said that's how they all are and made no effort to correct the situation. They also struggle to put the food in the containers neatly at all and the proportions of each item are way off. I ordered Beijing Beef and Orange Chicken. I received a small portion of the beef and four times as much orange chicken. The staff is also not very friendly, rarely saying hello, thank you, have a nice day or anything, even when I tried to be friendly to them. It's obvious this restaurant has some management issues, hopefully they can get someone new in there and change. read more

I hardly write reviews, so the fact that I'm even taking time to write this should speak volumes. I'm a medical student living in the area, so some days when I've got a lot on my plate, even on weekends, I just need a quicker, not-so-greasy food to eat. The fact that this location has a drive-thru and that they're not a "traditional" fast-food chain (burgers, tacos, etc) obviously makes that enticing to me. But make no mistake, I will order Balance Pan-Asian Grille or even go to the Magic Wok down the street 10/10 times in the future. Entering through the drive-thru, my fiancé and I remembered that our previous visit (around 8:30 PM that day, mind you) was a bit problematic as well, as we had previously encountered a long wait and bad service (drive-thru employee on the microphone had us hold at the ordering screen, then forgot we were waiting in line until we decided to say something to get their attention after 5-10 minutes). This time around, we came for lunch at a reasonable time (1 PM), and was asked to again briefly hold at the ordering screen, but soon after asked for our orders. We both ordered a 2-entree combo of General Tso's Chicken and Broccoli Beef with fried rice (a reasonably "standard" order for a chinese restaurant), asked for extra soy sauce, and before we got to order our drinks, we were quickly given our total for the meals and asked to pull ahead. Waiting in line, it seemed as though the cars ahead of us were taking a while per order, and it appeared as though each car was really only getting a couple of orders per car (so no one was assumedly ordering a huge amount of food). We finally got to the window, gave our card to pay, and the woman that was working the window took a while to get back to us (slightly raising suspicions about identity theft, though nothing has happened to our accounts as of yet). We were told multiple minutes later that the restaurant was out of General Tso's chicken, and rather than wait for it to be cooked, we asked for a suggestion to replace it. The employee was dumbfounded, finally coming up with Orange Chicken. We decided we'd rather have a spicier replacement, and fortunately I remembered "SweetFire Chicken" being another option on the menu. She went back to assumedly finish the order and gave it to us, with the boxes in the bag somewhat crooked/dumping food to the side of the boxes. When we ate the meal, we had not received extra soy sauce as requested, we only got 1 fortune cookie (picky, I know, but it was just adding to the experience at that point), and as assumed, our food was haphazardly placed and splashed around in the boxes. There's got to be some kind of managerial/systematic problem with the restaurant at this point. They seem understaffed, unable to stay organized to the point of providing all of their menu during a lunch rush, and very unfocused towards the customers. I will say, they at least weren't directly rude to us in any way, but the lack of attention to detail in all they provided and did, start to finish, was evident enough that something's not right at the managerial level of this location. I feel slightly ridiculous writing so much about what is essentially another fast food joint in a chain-driven restaurant market, but even for that standard, this restaurant definitely misses the bar. read more

I was so excited to try this place, and have to admit; I was very disappointed. I never throw food out, but I threw half of mine away. My husband, our 2 year old, & I decided to get Panda Express for the 1st time in our new town. We placed our order at 5:17 pm for pick-up that would be ready at 5:49 pm. We arrived at 5:47 pm & my husband elected to run in to pick-up our food while I stayed in the car with our very hangry toddler. At first, he was told the teriyaki chicken would be a few more minutes. Then, after waiting 10 minutes, he inquired about the order & was told they had to help people who were there before him (ordering in the restaurant, NOT picking up orders) despite the fact that we'd placed the order 45 minutes ago at this point. He then realized they didn't even start making our food until after the 1st time he asked for an update. We finally got out of there at 6:13 pm. Overall, the food was ok, but there were only about 8 small slices of beef in a large container of broccoli beef & they were all extremely dry & disgusting. The chicken was bland and the color on that chicken almost looks like it was expired or old. The rice was also super dry and I had to dump some hot water on it just to make it wet.
