I want to sincerely thank the employee and manager who went above and beyond for my order. I placed my order through the app, and somehow it accidentally got switched to be delivered tomorrow instead of today. As soon as I noticed, I contacted the restaurant and spoke with an employee whose name I unfortunately didn't catch. He immediately tried to help and contacted his supervisor to see what could be done or how to cancel the DoorDash order. To make a long story short, DoorDash refunded my money, but the supervisor still went above and beyond by personally making sure I received my food. The place is less crowded than some locations but they are doing a good pick up business too so the food gets eaten and more made often. The restaurant is very clean. The workers come out to clean tables and the floor often. The seating area is good sized as is the ordering area. Napkins and straws are out to use but you must ask for forks and chopsticks. The food is super hot and fresh here. The orange chicken was especially good. Maybe because it is almost the 35 year anniversary of orange chicken so it is promoted. Still, it was sweet yet not too sweet. The super greens were crisp and fresh. The Beijing beef was superb. Excellent little kick but again hot and just made. The teriyaki chicken came with sauce and was tasty. They have brown rice at this location. So yummy. So, we've gone to this Panda Express for many years and our satisfaction with this location came to a screeching halt today. I don't know what happened with the training of their staff, and execution of simply providing people what they've been charged for. I can only speculate that the suits that make important decisions at the executive level for Panda Express have decided that jacking up their prices to almost ridiculous levels isn't enough, but encouraging their staff members to rip off customers by filling up food boxes only 3/4 full for the sake of their bottom line. Such a disgusting tactic! We certainly weren't going to drive 45 minutes one way to go back and complain, so Yelp was our only alternative. Today's simple order was an absolute failure on every level, including that fact that our chow mien was chopped into tiny little pieces. What nitwit makes such decisions? Needless to say, we will not ever visit the Fair Oaks Panda Express again. There is a great Chinese restaurant down the street from this Panda Express, that is by no means inexpensive, but at least they give us full portions for our money.
