During a recent trip, we decided to stop at Panda Express (Baltimore, MD). The service was great. The food was very good. The employee with thin-rimmed glasses who took our order and cashed us out was very pleasant, friendly and patient (and bilingual y amable). She made our visit enjoyable. I was so happy to be at PE (there isn't one in our town) that I fumbled through my order. The friendly employee didn't seem to mind. The dining area was clean. Bathrooms were clean. This is a newer Panda location but I would recommend using the drive-thru. The team seems flustered by the frequent visits from "guests" hanging around. The drive through line was slow moving. The shrimp where not done enough for me. Half of the shrimp coating was off the under cooked shrimp. I also ordered Rangoons and they gave me spring rolls. I order a bigger plate with the following: chowmein/white rice and orange chicken/sweet fire chicken/ Kung pao chicken. Pros: the orange chicken was good. Cons: everytime I've ordered this size it comes with two sides two entrees in the box and the third in a small container on the side. This time it came literally SHOVED all in one box the box could barely stay shut. So all the chicken basically mixed together since they poured in two sides and just dumped the third on the top of both the others. The sweet fire chicken was DRY. I had breaded pieces with zero sauce. I'm not just meaning like a little.... no literally ZERO sauce. And even the ones that did have sauce had dry patches. It was gross... so bland and dry I ate about 3 peices and spit out the third. The Kung pao chicken. While this isn't my favorite it's a good variation, usually. Not this time. Disgusting. It tasted like wet cat food smells. And the texture of the meat was slimey. No not the sauce, the actual meat. I spit out the first peice. Tried another.. same result. Tasted rancid. The white rice.... Who can mess up white rice!!! Apparently panda express can. It was the driest rice I've ever eaten. It tasted like they had both undercooked it and over cooked it at the same time. It was not the fluffy sticky consistency it usually is. It was crunchy. So crunchy. So after 2 bites I stopped. And the chowmein would have been good.... expect whoever packed the order had the chicken all over it, the Kung pao chicken, which as before I mentioned was disgusting. I would be more understanding expect this is the second time I've ordered and had similar results with this location. Drive farther and get something better... or honestly grocery store frozen Chinese food would be a far better taste. Don't waste your money like I did. :( read more

Yes got doordash delivery in 15 minutes. Ordered a bowl and crab rangoons. Rangoons tasted like dishwater somehow (don't ask). The bowl was delicious. The service is always polite and timely. HOWEVER, they are constantly out of items or you to wait for them to make it. Furthermore you MUST use a credit/debit card, on the rare occasion that they do take cash. You need to have exact change. I know that I am not an Outlier and I am not sorry to say so. We got there more than an hour before closing and they were out more than half of the dishes and they weren't cooking, just coasting to the finish. The drive through is ALWAYS closed despite there being a good 8-10 employees inside working. They close at 9:30 but run out of food by 6:30 and basically tell you that what you see is all they have. Also, the entire staff is comprised of teenagers. I never see a manager there. read more

Panda Express is a great place to get Chinese food while on the go. I like the Kung Pao chicken but the Orange Chicken is a personal favorite. I also like the Veggie Spring Rolls. I decided to get rice with my order this visit and though it was tasty it could have been better. The eggs in the rice had a weird taste today but it wasn't nasty. I burn a couple calories walking into any Panda Express, since I go inside to check the freshness and appearance of the entrees. I would hate to order drive thru and get old food that was at the bottom of the pan. Panda Express offers different Asian inspired fare with protein of chicken, shrimp, beef cooked in a Wok, yum. PE features new items on occassion, look for their commercials or surf their website. CHICKEN: orange chicken, kung pao, mandarin, mushroom, sting bean, sweetfire, and black pepper BEEF: beef and broccoli, shanghai angus steak, beijing SHRIMP: honey walnut, peppercorn PORK: bbq, sweet & sour To complete your 2 or 3 choice entree meal you can choose between white rice, fried rice, chow mein or mixed veggies. You always buy your drink separate, that's how they get even more money. Your choice between a small selection of bottled drinks or a fountain drink. PE has bite sized appetizers too, they normally sit in the hot case window. IE. cream cheese rangoons, chicken potsticker, chicken eggroll, crispy shrimp, and veggie spring roll. Sometimes they aren't fresh so I would tell them make yours fresh. I've tried the veggie spring roll, which I'd rather keep my extra $2. I play it safe with orange chicken, kung pao chicken, and mushroom chicken. I need soy sauce especially for the dry rice they always have for some reason. I wish Panda had more veggies in their dishes, but ehh.. QUICK TIPS: for people wanting the extra bang for your buck, when they ask you if you want noodles or rice.....say you want both. It's great getting both rice and noodles with your meal and not paying extra. As well, on the back of every receipt is a survey for a free side when you get two sides on your next meal. Panda Express isn't like your normal fast food restaurant, it's more like fast service and home cooked meals. I normally never eat here, but yesterday TMobile bought me a free bowl. I feel like if there is still an hour left before you close you should still have a full selection of items especially rice. Well when I went there they had zero fried rice, and they didn't even offer to make me any. I got their honey chicken that was supposed to have green beans mixed in it but mine literally had 3 green beans. So I had dry chicken, on top of dry zero flavor rice, and 3 green beans lol. My boyfriend gets a hankering for Panda Express every few weeks or so, which is why I'm willing to drive the 20 minutes from Baltimore city to come to this location. PROS: -parking: there's always space in the front of the location -consistency: the food always tastes the same so you know what you're getting. My boyfriend always get the honey walnut shrimp: crispy battered shrimp in sweet creamy sauce with walnuts. There's a $1.25 surcharge, Kung pao chicken: small nuggets of chicken in spicy sauce with chills and peanuts and peppers. I usually get beef broccoli or orange chicken, both staples and really savory. -portion size: they usually give you a heaping amount of food and if they skimp you, you can just ask for a little more. CONS: -quality: depending on when you show up, some of the food has been sitting there for a LONG time so it looks dried out and unappetizing. -the wait: this is a toss up. If you walk in and no one is in line, then you'll be in and out in 5 minutes. If there's a line and the people in front of you keep asking for samples and have crazy requests, then it can be more of a hassle. Overall, almost every panda I've been to has been about the same. Got a normal plate with orange chicken & chicken teriyaki. Sauce on the rice. It tasted very different than any other location. EXTREMELY spicy. Even my BF commented on that, and he likes spicy.
