For those who have pets, the type of flooring that you have is very important. For myself, I have been living with solid hardwood, carpet, and linoleum for the past ten years. Between water bowls tipping, unexpected hairballs, puking because my cat decided it was a good idea to eat his food as fast as he can, fur, nail shavings, amongst other unforeseen occurrences, my carpet and hardwood had seen better days. I came to Panda Flooring at the recommendation of the guy I hired to lay my new flooring. Panda was very easy to buy from. There is a large variety of floor samples to choose from. Most of the samples they have are in stock. So in less than 15 minutes I picked out a vinyl flooring color that I liked, and paid for it. Was referred by a close friend to this place. Price wise, it is good. Better than big box store. But the installation is kind of flaky. I purchased patterned carpet from Mohawk Carpet and ended up with visible seaming lines in the house. I tried to have the team fix it but nothing really changed. Now the 12 ft seaming line in my living room is a truly eyesore. This carpet gotta be replaced in the near future. read more

This review is for Tony Chen. He is not reliable, failed to honor contract, and RUDE to me as a new customer. I came to the Hayward store Tuesday and ordered carpet with Tony at the store. I asked him to install the carpet at his earliest convenience because I've staging company come next week and I'm selling the house, so he should have gotten idea how important his service is to me. His company appears outsource to third party handymans to do the jobs, which is unreliable in scheduling and finding resources. Tony gave me a quote price but he did not fulfill his promise for installation of carpet. He would not give me concrete date for installation of carpet ahead of time even I repetitively requested to him when his team would be available to install. He told me Thursday that his team is busy this week and next week and suggested me to find another vendor for carpet, but he did not tell me when I ordered the carpet with him at store. Tony told me in the Thursday morning that he can install in the afternoon same date, so I went ahead to cancel painting job for the date, cancel Home Depot installation tomorrow, and when I called him again to confirm when he come but he said he cannot do it today nor next week! They have a good amount of options on display. That's what's giving them 1 star. They also have waterproof flooring. That's their second star. Their prices seem very high. The flooring was a fair $2.39 per square foot but installation was $3 per square foot. Now, did it include removal of the old flooring and removal and installation of baseboards and all the stuff and labor needed to prep the floor? If it did, then it would be a really good price. Problem is, I don't know. Reason is, the man I spoke to wasn't really telling me anything. I only got 1 word answers and he just didn't seem interested in my business. He said he was too busy right now. When I said I needed it in about 3 weeks, he said yeah, he thinks so. Before me, he was talking to an Indian couple (mainly the man) and he was conversing like I think a salesman should. But not with me. I don't know if it had anything to do with my being an Asian woman but after asking a few questions I just walked out. Waste of time. read more

I made four separate appointments with Tony the owner and he failed to show up all four times. Tony proposed meeting on Thursday July 18 at 1PM. I waited until 1:30 and texted him. He said: I'm now coming. How about 2:15PM? The second appointment was set for Thursday 1PM on July 25. I went there and texted him on 12:45PM. He said, he couldn't make it. The third one was 12PM on Friday 7/26, Same story. I asked him around 10AM and he said he wouldn't be coming. Then he proposed 12PM on Monday 7/29. I asked if he would for sure come and he gave me his words. Again, an hour before appointment he said he couldn't come. And that was trying to meet with him for the job for the first time. I guess if you have a huge job for him, he would prioritize you. But if you are a regular customer, he would simply not respect you and your time. What does that say about his ethics and characters?
