I was on the lookout for Egg Foo Young and found it. After a good hike at the park, I was hungry. I mentioned to a friend I wanted Chinese and he found Panda Bistro. I mentioned Egg Foo Young and he didn't know what that was. I had to school him. We arrive and are greeted by the proprietor and she confirmed they got the good with the gravy. If you know anything about Egg Foo Young, it ain't real unless it's got the gravy. We placed an order with Orange Chicken, Special Fried Rice, Scallops and Chicken and Cheese Puffs. We dined in the small restaurant, food was prepared hot and fresh. My Egg Foo Young patties were giant. Very flavorful and hit the spot. The Orange Chicken actually had orange peels in it. Never had it that way before. *Extra fancy* twirls imaginary mustache tail. I was very pleased with the food and service. I'll be stopping by after my park visits. Check them out! read more

Worst Chinese food I've ever had. This place went down hill it used to be good. Crab rangoons tasted old, mushu chicken was inedible and the crepes that came with it were nothing more than a piece of paper. The lemon chicken was okay but I will never come back... also $46 for these items which is outrageous read more

So I stopped by for takeout order my food from this little dude who clearly didn't know nothing about Chinese food and was actually really rude so I ordered my food. I paid the bill which was outrageous but I figured I ordered my food a certain kind of way and he probably charged extras so I figured whatever I paid the bill as soon as I paid my bill this other dude storms through the door with a box of food, asking to speak to the manager this little dude was super rude and asked them why so the guy opens up the box and shows him that he had a couple of buckets of pork, fried rice, lo mein, and something else that had legit cockroaches in his cartons of food. I immediately demanded my money back and stormed out of there this place is garbage don't go. read more

Our Christmas Eve tradition is for the family to eat out for Chinese food much like the movie 'A Christmas Story'. And of course we have our go to place every year. This year was no different other than we are under COVID restraints of 25% occupants allowed. When we arrived at our 'go to place' we found it maxed out and a wait list of 2 hours. Needless to say, this wasn't going to work. So in a frantic search using Yelp, we found this diamond of a gem just a short drive away. I called ahead for seating and to or surprise they had room. When we arrived we found the eatery empty, however the deliveries were continuing non stop. The staff seated our party and promptly took our orders. Within 30 minutes of being seated, the food was served and hot. Everyone got exactly what they ordered with no complainants. The prices were reasonable for the amount of food served. The portions were plentiful and the wait staff were very accommodating. I would no doubt recommend this location the next time you are looking for fresh and plentiful portions at a reasonable price. The sweet and sour chicken, General Tsao and won ton soup was excellent. read more

Our family is so happy we discovered Panda Bistro! We moved to Greatwood 3 years ago and discovered it a couple months after moving in. We have been going here every Friday night (at least once a week) since then! Our favorites are the Sesame Beef and Kung Pao Chicken - so delicious every single time! The Walnut Shrimp is amazing too. And the Rice Noodles with shrimp and chicken is yummy. Really you can order anything on their menu and won't be disappointed ever. Service is fast and always welcoming and friendly! We LOVE this place. read more

She wanted Chinese. We used to eat takeout every week from this Chinese joint right behind our backyard, but... we live in a different world now. They were already struggling and two months was just too much for them. But still, she wanted Chinese. I never really liked that other place too much. Going in there felt like walking into a greasy granny's kitchen. I don't remember seeing many people in there, everytime I went to pick up our food it was desolate. I was never even sure if the fried rice chicken had real chicken. She even KNEW, that the lady that picked up the phone hated her. But every week she wanted Chinese. Today I knew that it had been too long and we couldn't pospone it anymore. She wanted Chinese. She looked for another place nearby on google maps: "Panda Bistro". "It has good reviews" she said. I thought out loud that there was no way that a restaurant with that name could have good Chinese food. But, Carnegie said that criticism is a terrible thing to have in your life. So, you know what? Let's do it. We did the usual. She called and ordered her favourite soup, one order of fried rice with chicken, and a big order of dumplings. We drove to the place. She bursts out laughing because for a moment she confuses the bamboo leaves in their logo with bat wings. I joined in laughter, but, that was a sign... I decided I wasn't ready to let another Chinese restaurant dining room into my life. So, I waited in the car. When we got home she laid all the food out on the table. I grabbed a 6.5oz Topo Chico and was delighted to find the fried rice inside those Chinese square paper containers. You don't get it. When you've been eating Chinese out of a foam container every week for that last two years, this feels like an upgrade. I immediately wanted some chopsticks, but there were none. I'm already telling her that this place is way better. Just look at those big semi-burnt dumplings -I'm visual-, the perfectly textured rice, and the chicken... It's real, I can tell for sure that this is chicken. Wow... I'm excited. This is gonna be good. I'm a couple of bites into the rice when I decide that it is time for the first dumpling. Lid is off. Dumpling is in and the soy is dripping. This is the big moment! You see, as I much as I hated the place, the joint behind us had terrific dumplings. They always brought me joy. And because of them I'll never forget those long Friday nights when we would stay home and eat Chinese because we wanted to and not because we had to. But I digress. This looks promising. I'm ready to embrace this place and let it feed me once a week for years to come. Half a dumpling goes in my mouth... Like pickle to a dog, I immediately let half the food fall out of me. I don't know what I just ate. But it's not good. Words can't describe it... But i'll try anyway! The texture of the meat felt like a semi cooked hot dog sausage. The dough was as dry as an old pastry and not even all the soy sauce in the world could hide it. Let's go back to the meat: a brownish, stale, bloody looking thing that briefly turned me into a sinophobe. She wasn't happy about her soup either. It was tasteless, she said. The rice wasn't terrible, but it was tainted by the whole experience. I made her call back. The lady said it was pork. "Put her on speaker... That's not pork" I said. The lady was respectful, she offered to exchange our dumplings. I hesitated for a bit. But no, it was not worth it. I asked for a refund; we barely ate one. "If you bring me the dumplings back I'll give you a refund." I said "Ok, we'll bring them back." She tells me to take them back myself. She's in her second day. I'll do it. Why not? I don't care how petty it is. I'll take them back. Thirty seconds later I'm second guessing myself. Is it really worth my time? Do I really want to do the five minute drive? After all it was just six dollars and twenty-five cents. It's not worth it. "I'll just leave them a bad review." read more

It's all great! You can taste the freshness of the meats and vegetables, and the people who work here are always friendly. If you haven't tried this place, you are missing out! read more

I love this local Chinese restaurant! We have been getting takeout from here for the last ten years and the food has been consistently good. They use high quality ingredients. They have nice ambiance and recently renovated if you do want to to it in there. read more

Great Chinese. Eat enough so you aren't hungry in two hours. We love this place. Don't expect to find a large dining room, as it's really tiny. You cn tell it's designed for take-out, rather than eating in. This is our Chinese delivery restaurant of choice, because whatever they fix, it's excellent, and when they say delivery is in 30 minutes, they always seem to do it in 15. One thing different from other Chinese, they have a few items on their menu that come in Texas size, which we sometimes order for the entire family. Our favorite is a large egg drop soup. Just make sure you get something else to go with it. read more

Have been going here since before my first born who is about to be six because it's so so good!!! They have by far the BEST egg drop soup!!! I always get the chicken with broccoli, egg drop with egg roll. read more

The fried tofu is awesome. Could have a little bigger rice portion but it is not a small meal with plenty of the tofu! Very good overall.

This place used to be so amazing, however, the quality, and service are just awful now. I was greeted rudely when I walked in for starters. When I ordered my meal, it was less than 3 minutes before I got it. Talk about the opposite of fresh. It was just plain gross. I would have complained, however, it was obvious it wouldn't have helped. read more

Favorite Chinese take-out in Richmond! Must try the spicy wings- house flavor. They use their own blend of sauce that I have yet to find anywhere else. Better than Bonchon and Wingstop. They use all fresh ingredients and orders are cooked perfectly. This restaurant serves authentic Chinese food, and not your typical American-Asian fusion. Leagues better than Panda Express or Pei-Wei. I love both the egg-drop and wonton soup! Their lunch special is also a steal for $5.99. If you're in the area swing by. Atmosphere of the dining area is kept clean, and restroom is also clean. Service is efficient. read more

Crab puffs have no filling, spring rolls are expensive for what you get, and the past two times we ordered, everything tasted re-warmed. One time, they didn't bring us rice, so I called them. They would not pick up the phone (caller Id), and I let it ring for awhile. I then called from my wife's phone and they picked up on the second ring. Over the past year or so, it has gone down hill, and will probably not order from them again. The place on the other side of the freeway is way better. read more

Just dont do it. I was super excited and then super disappointed. Im in the industry so i know how it goes. It was a order close to closing and i came and picked it up. The wings that are like 10$ that everyone raves about probably are good typically but....mine were old wings refried to near death. I ordered almost 30$ worth and only ate about 5$ between 2 people. I just moved here and fear that this is the norm. I know it was late but afraid to try again. read more

We ordered here a couple of times and the quality of food has seemed to go down. The sesame chicken had too much breading it was gross. Why I'm giving this place one star, because we ordered some dumplings for an appetizer. After bringing them out about a minute after putting them on the table a lady comes from the back with tongs saying she gave us too many and that the extra dumpling belongs to another order. Also the other gentlemen bringing out the food was clearly sick, and shouldn't of been anywhere close to food. This place needs a change of management and take better care of their employees. read more

Outstanding sesame beef! Clean place, great service, great food! Excellent sesame beef!!!

Awful service and food! There is no cream in the cream puffs and the lo mien was burnt and had a burnt smell to it. We were the only people there that time.. so there's no excuse to be overcooking food and leaving cream puffs WITH NO CREAM. Never coming here again. read more
