This time, I didn't see so many people there so I went to the counter immediately and bought 2 churros! The service was good and you can pay by credit card (They have a square machine) The churros were very crispy and full of fried flour's aroma. The sauce is filled inside the churros rather than sprinkled on them. I don't know if it's common but it's my first time seeing that. I came here spontaneously with a friend to try various snacks in Kensington market. I love churros and their churros are AMAZING. I just had caramel sauce in all 3 because it's phenomenal. I didn't even bother trying the other flavours, but they had a strawberry, chocolate and condense milk. I'll try those next time. They're the same as the "I love churros" truck by the waterfront, but at the waterfront its 2 for 5$ but here its 3 for 5$. Just had to have the churros and warm horchata in Kensington Market. Heard so much about it- it was a treat. Cinnamonny and crispy and sweet. We enjoyed them plain. No need to add the condensed milk flavored creams to them. Horchata a Mexican beverage, made with rice, cinnamon and sugar when heated up makes a satisfying drink on a freezing cold day (an alternative to hot cocoa). Pancho's lived up to its reputation. The best surprise was a Salvadoran vendor selling pupusas in back of Pancho's shop. From his little stand, he cranked our yummy cheese pupusas. We did not try the ones filled with meat. While walking through the Kensington Market we can across a huge line of people holding churros. Naturally I could not walk on know that there were delicious churros in close by. Did what any sane yelper would do, and got in line. The space is a cohort of 4 food stations where you can purchase food, but there was only time for churros today. They did smell good though. I was blown away by the churros. Thee perfect amount of crispness. There also the option to add flavors (Strawberry, Chocolate, Caramel, and plain). My personal favorite was Strawberry, and if I had a time machine I would go back to purchase 6. They were pretty inexpensive plus they were worth the wait. This is basically a food stall inside a little marketplace that goes quite deep. This stall is right at the entrance and there may be a lineup. On a holiday weekend, there was a healthy lineup. They were making everything to order. My kid got two with her choice of fillings - strawberry and dulce de leche for her. Hole in the wall place that serves up some of the most delicious churros. I tried the plain, chocolate, and dulce de leche churros, my favorite was the dulce de leche but all were fantastic. These churros are way better than Costco's. The neighborhood is super unique and artsy, it does feel slightly sketchy to walk around by yourself at night but is fairly safe. I was fairly disappointed with the quality of churros that I got from here. I got the chocolate filled churros, and the actually churro itself was pretty delicious. My main complaint was that the filling was too runny. By the time I wanted to eat the churro, the filling had dripped all the way to the bottom. The sauce they have is more of a dipping sauce rather than a filling. I think I would have enjoyed the churros more without a filling at all. Prices are very fair at 3 for $5. A churro cone? I mean come on, who could pass this up. My husband claimed he wasn't a fan of churros until our trip here. The ice cream was even good, they definitely could've went the cheap route to let the cone be the focus but they didn't and I appreciate that. After having a great meal at La Chilaca, the kids wanted some churros and since it was in the same complex we decided to get some here at Pancho's Bakery. We opted for both the de leche and the chocolate ones and both were really tasty. The churros were freshly fried so was piping hot when we got it and both the del leche and chocolate sauce complimented well with the sugar cinnamon coating. Of the two we prefer the de leche one. Price wise the churros were 3 for $5 or 6 for $9. They also had churro cones but we only got to try the regular churro sticks. After amazing churros as Mr. Chu, I was ready to see if there are other good places around Toronto. Seeing how we were in Kensington and 4 stars, I was hopeful. In about as fast as you can say 'rápido' you'll have warm churros in your hands. The difference between these churros and the basics on the market is that this man takes a squirt bottle and fills your churro with sauce. Be sure to get the dulce de leche sauce as it's phenomenal! Personally, Kensington Market is one of the most eccentric neighbourhoods in Toronto and Pancho's Bakery is one amongst many little shops that makes the place magical. I usually walk in, out and around Kensington at least once every two weeks. Coincidentally, I found out about Pancho not from passing by, but rather on Yelp when I was looking for well-rated restaurants in the area. Their entrance isn't very big and attractive, so perhaps that's also why I never noticed. To be honest, I was never attracted to churros to begin with :P Pancho's Bakery is famous for their churros and churrocone. That time around walking in Kensington Market, I couldn't resist but stop by to try it. Their churros were sold either 3 for $5, 6 for $9, or 12 for $15 and the churrocone for $7. Without any expectations due to poor past experiences with churros, I only got 3 - each of different flavour (Dulce de Leche - Pancho's favourite, Chocolate, and Strawberry). Apparently the flavouring is simply just a filling they've already poured into squeeze bottles and fill the hollow middle when you buy your churros. OH MY GOD. Those churros were amazing I tell you! They were thick on the outside (unlike one's I've at amusement parks), soft and moist when you bite down yet with a slight sweetness of sugar sprinkled around. The chocolate flavour didn't go as well with churros, so I don't recommend but feel free to try it out if you haven't. The Strawberry and Dulce de Leche would be my suggestions and favourites - both up at the top list. The Strawberry unexpectedly was not sweet at all and the taste was perfect. Similarly, Dulce de Leche (might be the first time I've had this) is like caramel with condensed milk. Definitely very unique in taste and I love it! Not much to comment around service as it was fast and the staff seemed to be pretty cool guys. I've been several times and usually on the weekend, but rarely there's a line up. An okay churro experience - not enough filling. Although this was my first churro experience (so may not be the best judge), I would definitely say it was very average. My friend and I ordered the 3 for $5 churros and selected the dulce de leche, chocolate, and strawberry fillings (there was also a condensed milk flavour). My favourite by far was the chocolate then the strawberry filling. The dulce de leche was just too thick and heavy for the churro. They were definitely warm and crispy when we had our first bites, but they didn't taste very fresh. The location is very small and a bit hard to locate since it's within a mini food court and the service was average (I mean, the cashier did give me the wrong change after handing her a $20 bill).
