This place is fantastic. If you want spice, ask for their "Mexican Ketchup." It is a home-made sauce that has some flavorful kick to it and brings life to every bite. We purchased the fajitas (myself, shrimp fajitas; my wife, vegetarian fajitas). The shrimp fajitas were loaded with shrimp, and the vegetarian fajitas has every kind of vegetable on it, from squash to brocolli to onions, tomatos, peppers, etc. It was quite the melody. Flavor was great, especially considering their homemade spice sauce. Their menu is large and has something for everyone. I would definitely recommend, and definitely come again. 5/5. read more

We were seated right in front of a bus cart that was constantly used and went by us and did not look sanitary. It ruined the atmosphere. Also, the waiter did not get us chips and I was not offered a refill until someone in management came over to see how the meal was. I used to have a good experience. If the tables were full I could understand it but not even a 1/3 full. When I said something to the one I paid the bill to he got derogatory toward me with a snarky "I'm sorry" and there is nothing wrong with that. Manager wanted to argue with me when server gave me wrong dish, when the server said that they had dish on menu and then charge us for the full meal. Service was horrible, didn't like the dish. The food here is delicious! I always get extra salsa for the excellent chips. My favorite is the chimichanga (I pay a little extra and get shrimp). I always order takeout and have learned to call order in first to avoid a possible long wait. The gentleman at the front desk is delightful. read more

My friend suggested we try Pancho Villa because it's one of her favorite Mexican restaurants in the area, and it was actually pretty good! We went around 1-2 pm on a week day, and they weren't busy at all. Our food was actually brought out to us in less than 5 minutes. The guacamole dip tasted great, as well as the queso dip. My ACP was alright, basic chicken, rice and cheese, but the chicken wasn't the best quality, as it had some gristle in it (my only complaint.) That, and I wish the dish had a bit more spice to it, but it was what I expected for the most part! My husband got the chunky guacamole, and it was amazing. Called in our 1st order ever at Pancho. Said it would be ready in 15 minutes almost 45 minutes later I got it. I was pretty upset. The owner was an absolute jerk! My friends and I agreed to meet on their way back from Boone so I could notarize a few documents for them and when they arrived they didn't want to order anything having eaten an hour before. I had a drink and told the waiter I'd place an order to go. He never returned to the table to take my order or to refill my drink. The owner kept giving me the stink-eye because my friends didn't order anything. I had planned to give a healthy tip upon leaving since we occupied the table for 45 minutes. When we were done, the owner approached the table and began to berate me for taking up space and said he turned away 3 people due to no tables available. However, I noticed three open tables that were never used from the time we sat down (these were NOT closed due to COVID, but available for seating). I told him I never had a chance to place my order. He told me to leave the table and come up front to order and continued to chew me out for taking up space. I apologized multiple times, which didn't seem to matter. His nasty, rude behavior was in front of several customers. I still ordered my to-go dinner of chicken tamales, only to get home and find they were beef! I did leave a very nice tip and only hope the server received it. When I told the owner I would let people know how rude he was to a paying customer, he said, "Go right ahead." This was probably one of the worst meals in a long time. Steak was really thin and very tough. There was no seasoning on the steak or the shrimp. A1 sauce was really thin and runny like it was watered down. I had beans and rice as a side. Rice was okay but there was no beans, was actually bean soup and rice. Stay away and save money. We actually brag about this place as we like the delicious food and the service is fast and friendly. The last time however, we entered and waited to be seated, the manager was talking with another customer and notices us but did greet us. One of out usual waiters noticed us, smiled but also did not greet us or offer to seat us either. Another couple entered several minutes after us and stood next to us at the desk as different waiter approached them and proceeded to seat them first. Never bothered to ask who was next or ask if we needed help but flat out ignored us completely. We decided to leave as this was not the kind of service we usually experience here. We always compliment the food and tip generously. We don't understand what happened this time. I guess it wasn't our day. Next time we will stand in the doorway as to not let anyone enter until we are greeted and seated. The food here is always solid. We sit at the bar. Very quiet. Service is hit and miss as they don't have a full-time bartender.
