Her staff is well-trained, efficient and polite. The food she creates at such a large scale is excellent - one of the best meals I ever had was at a wedding she catered and those of you who have eaten wedding food know how hard this is. Those who have worked with her directly either for their weddings, or corporate events can't say enough about how nice, responsive and flexible she is. She has gained a reputation on working with unique menu needs like vegan, vegetarian etc. If I ever need a caterer for a nicer event I will not hesitate to call Karen.

The croissants were a crowd pleaser, the Caesar salad crisp & tasty, the fruit was so fresh, but the blueberry lemon almond cookies stole the show! My experience is only with catered lunch in a corporate setting, and it is always hands down the best lunch I've ever had, every. single. time!!!!! How does she find fresh veggies year-round!? Incredible! There is so much care and thought put into this food. They must be very particular about their food suppliers. Any fresh ingredient is always perfectly fresh/ripe. The cherry tomatoes and really any veggies are always delicious, bursting with flavor (maybe they use organic which tends to have more flavor?). The salad dressings are all incredible. Apple Cider Vin, Citrus Vin.....o.m.g! The Power Up Salad will make you want to eat salads for every meal - seriously. Also, I was never a fan of pasta salads until I started being adventurous and trying the pasta salads from here. The Bruschetta Pasta Salad - OMG. Also, recently had the Bacon Parmesan Ranch Rigatoni salad.....wowza. Cupcakes, cookies, or other small desserts from here are to die for. I've used a lot of cliche "review" terms here.....trust me, they don't even begin to describe it!!! :)

Came to Sumo on a Saturday night after a long drive, just in town to fly out of the local airport…read more We arrived an hour before close; While the "open" sign was on, there were no patrons in the restaurant and they appeared to be shutting down for the evening, cleaning and mopping the floor, but the friendly host insisted that it was ok and we may come in to enjoy a meal. The wait staff was clearly not happy about this, as they were a bit snippy in their interactions with us-- a bit disheartening, again, as there was still a whole hour before they were scheduled to shut. Thankfully, for them, our order was pretty simple. We both ordered a miso soup, house salad, and shared an avocado roll, and tempura plate. The avocado roll was perfect; ripe and thickly-cut avocado, not too much rice, and rolled tightly so it didn't fall apart. The miso soup and salad were good; they soup was a pinch bland, but nothing a few drops of soy sauce can't fix, and the dressing on the salad was delicious. The items in the tempura plate were fried in different kinds of batter-- given it came out pretty fast, it made me suspect different pre-packaged varieties, but it was a tasty and simple dish so I was unbothered. The next day, we ended up coming back before our flight for a quick lunch. Same treatment; Very nice host, curt wait staff-- Either they remembered us as the couple that kept them from leaving early the night before, or that's just how they are. We ordered the same thing, minus the tempura plate, and plus a yellowtail carpaccio. Everything we ordered previously was just as good as the night before. The carpaccio was good as well; Nothing to write home about, but the fish was fresh and the sauce was tasty. As this was the only restaurant we ate at during our brief stint in Allentown, I'm overall happy with our experience-- minus the demeanor of the employees. While I highly doubt I'll ever find myself in Allentown again, I would certainly dine there again if the opportunity presented itself.

Please go back to your precious recipe. Other than the chili, I still remain an ardent fan.
