The bread is good, but I received poor service.
I waited in…read moreline like everyone else, and when I reached the register the owner with dark hair and mustache , ignored me completely. He turned to a man standing off to the side and rang him up instead. No "excuse me," no "I'll be right with you," nothing.
I even mentioned my tray being there. The manager smiled and winked.
When I asked why he skipped me, he said he didn't see me. (But I told you my tray was 1st)
I was standing directly in front of him. He didn't apologize or acknowledge the mistake.
Then he gave me the wrong receipt. When I returned to get the correct one, he wouldn't even hand it to me -- he told me to pull it from the machine myself. Again, no apology, no courtesy.
I left feeling disrespected and dismissed. Customer service matters, and this experience was not okay.
I hate to think that ignoring woman is a culture that is STILL tolerated.
I witnessed that dismissive behavior and disrespect towards another female while I patiently waited in line.
The man that was helped first over me, should NOT have accepted this poor behavior and allowed me to be skipped.
Ladies don't accept being diminished. Point it out when you feel uncomfortable or devalued.
That poor behavior needs to change.
I will no longer give my business to SPIKES Bakery.
Yo estaba directamente frente a él.
Me fui sintiéndome irrespetada y descartada.
*** FYI they have so many reviews because they bought the business name from another business that did well. Too bad new management didn't keep the quality, I got this information from the manager a few months back when I mentioned, what a usual name for a Mexican bakery, and he shared the history****
