I requested an appointment with short notice and they squeezed me in with Michael on a Sunday afternoon. The hair washing alone was amazing! It was probably the best scalp massage I've ever experienced. Michael knew exactly how to style my hair with no instruction from me. He is a real pro! I wish I lived closer, I live in Santa Cruz. Part of me would be willing to fly down to Santa Monica just for Michael to do my hair! read more

Omg!! My new favorite salon in Santa Monica. I moved from Azusa in December, and I am too far to go to my old stylist. I found Panache through Yelp, and I couldn't be happier with my hair!! I went in for a shampoo and styling. I like to get my hair straightened for special occasions, and Margan was fantastic!! She made my hair look so soft, sleek, and stylish. She was so nice and paid attention to how I wanted my hair. When I called, they quoted me at $65+ depending on hair type, length, thickness, and it was $65 without tip. I am definitely bringing in my sister for a haircut and I will be coming back for a haircut soon! read more

Margan is an absolutely AMAZING hair colorist!! She truly cares about your hair, takes her time and is meticulous! I was with my old colorist for over 30 years when the vax took him from us and he no longer can work...very sad. I went to someone else until I finally found Margan! What a hidden gem. If only everything in life could be so easy...you find someone amazing at what they do, one less problem to worry about. Also re: the dogs, this salon is blessedly dog friendly...Margan has a sweet, small dog, so does Michael and I am allowed to bring my big (but very friendly) dog in there. If you hate dogs you probably should find a different salon. read more

I went to Panache salon yesterday October 17. 2024. I was very disappointed. I was greeted with DOGS barking at me and everyone in the shop yelling at the dogs. I couldn't hear anyone was saying. I walked inside and smells like an Animal Shelter. I could not hear anyone and no one can hear me. They did not even realize I walked in. They were very unwelcoming. I was glad to leave at peace. I did not get a hair done at a business that is like an Animal Shelter. The dogs all over the shop barking making loud barking and grawling noises. read more

She led me to her cutting station where we discussed what I wanted done today and together we planned out a new hairstyle that would bring life back to my hair. Buyer beware. Wow. Drove a half hour for my son's haircut that we booked online a week earlier and our selected, usual stylist, Margan, was not even in that day. Michael rescheduled us for two days later. I called to confirm the appointment for today, and Margan said there was no such appointment on her calendar on either day and to bring proof that I had made an online appointment. Really? Offered $10 off; 'we have overhead'. No thanks. I have overhead too. Plenty of stylists that will show up for a scheduled appointment. Bummed. read more

I had searched for years in LA and couldn't find someone who had a product that was effective. After 12,000 miles of business travel, let's just say my hair was lookin' rough. I made a last minute appointment with Neena at Panache Coiffure for a wash and blowout before my husband's birthday party. To start: the wash and head massage felt incredible on my scalp. The best part of the entire experience was that she took her time. I never felt rushed. She used all the curlers, the clips, the special blowdrying tricks. And what happened when I asked for a voluminous blowout with some extra hhumphhhh? I got voluminous, sexy, humph-y hair! Hair is so personal, so it was meaningful to me that she actually listened and responded accordingly. Well now we know why Margan sets such high standards for her salon. Her work is fast, fluid and fabulous. My color is the best it has ever looked. I love my cut also- Looks so natural and the whole thing is blended very well!! No matter how I style my hair the highlights look perfectly placed. Angel was available at this time and she was phenomenal! We did a hair consultation before getting started and I'm pretty open to stylist suggestion. She loved my hair length and we decided to take a few inches off but do a lot of layers and face framing to bring some texture and movement to my cut. She spent a lot of time blowing my hair dry and styling with it as well (I was paying a lot of attention hoping that I'd be able to pick up some tips and tricks for next time I try to do my own hair!). I felt so much lighter after the cut and am absolutely in love with my hair again. I also loved that they give a robe for you to change into before the cut. Then the smock on top of it to stop the hair pieces. The whole salon was open and airy and I felt very well taken care of the whole time here. I highly recommend!

So may things I loved (in no particular order): - Very communicative from the appointment (via phone) to the confirmation and directions (via text) - Ms. Glen greeted me at the door - The studio smells divine (really sets the tranquil mood) - The studio was intimate (just me - yay) - The space was very clean (I am a stickler for clean) - There was a complimentary water waiting on me - Ms. Glen has developed her own techniques and products which speaks to her dedication and specialization (I love people who are passionate about what they do!) - Every step of the treatment was appreciated! (very detailed, very attentive, think - pampering your feet from the in-depth massage to the parrafin to the soaks to the grooming and much much more) - I got socks! This was such a special and much needed last step that I never knew I needed. It made my feet more comfortable and protected after such a beautiful treatment. She even asked me my size. How's that for customer service! - Now this one may seem trivial but I never had to hold my feet up during the treatment unless I was transitioning from the bowl to a towel. I do not like having to do that while someone attends to the bottom of my feel or heels. Ms. Glen has it worked out where I can truly relax the whole time. I also left with one of Ms. Glen's therapeutic hand and foot oils in Lemon. She makes the oils herself! It smells so good and leaves a refreshing but not overpowering scent. It feels good oiling my feet every night. Like another reviewer said, this is not your run of the mill pedicure shop. This is a therapeutic service that is worth every penny. My goal is to make this a regular treatment. If my feet are healthy, I am healthier! Thanks Ms. Glen for such a wonderful experience! I'll be back. I had recently purchased a soap that helps with skin discoloration. It hasn't been making any improvement in the uneven skin tone and dark marks on my feet. Turns out I just needed an appointment with Ms. Glen. The exfoliation she provided literally rubbed away 15 years from my feet. My dry scratchy heels were left supple and smooth and the calloused areas were left soft. Had I known what I was in store for I would have taken before and after pictures. She even provided socks for me to leave in, to seal in the moisture. My favorite part hands down was the massage. She kneaded into these tired soles, and I needed that! I paid a little more than the price listed (which she does quote as a base price) but she also spent almost 2x the amount of time listed. My Fiancé noticed the difference in appearance and feel immediately. I intentionally waited until 24 hours+ had passed to write this review, wanting to see if my feet would feel just as nice. THEY DO!! Ms. Glen definitely puts pride in her work and I love how she checked in throughout the process to ensure I was satisfied along the way. I recommend her service to anyone looking to give their feet a more youthful feel and look. And if your feet have severe issues that might keep you from visiting open public salons, her private suite will help you feel comfortable and secure. Right before I left, Ms. Glen threw in a bottle of her therapeutic hand & foot oil once she saw how dry my hands were. I had discussed my upcoming nuptials with her and she wanted to make sure my hands moisturized properly for my big day, even providing a demonstration on proper application. Ms. Glen is a gem!

Celina suggested that we could try a luminary hard gel overlay on my natural nails for long-lasting strength (~1 month) and nail growth without the need for gel-x/tips. No other nail technician had ever mentioned this as an option, and I am so happy with how it turned out! As someone who always had extensions, I've never seen my natural nails look so good in my life! Not only do they look great, but they also feel so strong, and I don't have to worry about them breaking. And I learned the hard way that no one in the Los Angeles area can take care of me and my hair like Panache team do; I tried several other salons when I moved to California. Now I make the drive from Orange County to Los Angeles every three weeks, traffic or weather be damned, just to see Margan. Everyone at the salon is super friendly and fun, too -- and the AESTHETIC! I got my hair cut by Margan at Panache Coiffure recently. Her new place is so nice, making me feel comfortable as soon as I walked in. Margan was super nice, asking me about my style and what I wanted my hair to look like. She was really careful with every snip, checking in with me often to make sure I liked how it was going. I've come here couple times to get my hair cuts. They are professional and give me satisfactory hair cuts every time. I come here because I have a high standard when it comes to having clean tools, before each hair cut I have to make sure the tools are clean. My hair is also pretty dry and porous, and the difference afterward is incredible - SO smooth, shiny, sleek, and easy to manage. I also have curly hair and wanted it straight, and even after swimming in the ocean and multiple hair washes, it is still perfectly straight and sleek - with no product and just air drying (didn't even know that was possible!). Yanai cut my hair afterward and did a beautiful job as well. He took off exactly what needed to come off while still keeping the length I wanted. The whole appointment was a long process because of how much hair I have, and I really appreciated how much care and attention they put into getting the result right. It's been a couple of weeks now and I'm still obsessed. Easily one of the best things I've ever done for it!

But it turned out fantastic. At home I did a light trim of the ends and straightened the hair to really see her work. Nearly one month has passed and not 1 single extension has come loose. She managed to correct color and left it a beautiful, natural base color with very natural looking caramel/blonde highlights. Since she cut my hair, it is easier to style and looks healthier despite the bleaching processes. The best part was that the color looked even better each time I washed it :) I recently went back to Jayrun for another process and she managed to exceed my expectations yet again. She has this magical way of making your highlights look super natural while leaving the roots the right color to frame the face. Basically, Jayrun just KNOWS what it going to look great and she doesn't fail to deliver it. As for pricing, I find it very reasonable - I honestly expected to pay more for such great quality service and results. She very generously did not charge me for the extended time and color during my first process, as well as offers salon quality products to her clients at the reduced wholesale prices. Finally, Jayrun is just the sweetest and funnest stylist I've ever been to! She makes you feel at home during your visit, follows up with her clients, and genuinely cares if you're happy with the results. I work full-time and had scheduled the appointment at 11:30 AM specifically due to my work schedule. I arrived about five minutes early for my appointment and another stylist checked me in saying my stylist would be with me soon. Other than this one stylist and her client, the salon was empty. At 11:29, I got a text from Sheila saying she was running 10 minutes late. Unfortunately for me, Sheila arrived 17 minutes late for my scheduled appointment. Tardiness aside, the overall haircut experience was average. Neither Sheila nor I spoke much during the appointment. I had a 12:45 lunch meeting with my boss, was stressed about being late, and I felt trapped. There weren't any extra frills like a nice scalp massage during the wash - I'm sure Sheila was trying to get me done as quickly as possible. I did choose to give two stars instead of one because I felt the haircut itself was adequate. No fault of the stylist's, but I found Mimi Hair's wash sinks to be extremely uncomfortable on my neck! I remember old salons when I was a kid that had old sinks and chairs that put a lot of pressure on your neck. The other three LA salons I've been to have modern sinks and chairs, but Mimi Hair must have something older...my neck was killing me! Obviously, I was hugely inconvenienced and my experience was soured. Sheila did not offer an explanation for why she was so late or acknowledge the bad impression. I had to explain to my boss that my hairstylist was almost 20 min late! Sheila charged me $90 for the haircut, and I did still leave a small tip. I guess I'll keep looking for a new salon... PS: I forgot to mention there was a dog walking around the salon. The dog didn't make any noise but it's just not right for me.
