I stumbled upon Anastasia's salon, and even though she was booked solid, she did me a favor and took the time to fix my tapes. The morning after, 3 hours before my flight, A few more of the original pieces fell out! I called Anastasia in a panic, and as usual, she was fully booked! Again, she was kind enough to make time for me last minute. She save me and is my hero! She is absolute angel, professional, kind, generous and a stunning woman on top of all that! She did an incredible job, and suffice it to say I will be using her from now on.

Method: i-tip/ keratin bead (no heat) installation Process: color and highlights on natural hair to match. It took all day to complete, which she was exhausted by the end... But it turned out fantastic. At home I did a light trim of the ends and straightened the hair to really see her work. Nearly one month has passed and not 1 single extension has come loose. The hair is still in good condition and does not shed, nor tangle. I am very happy with her work and look forward to my next appointment!

I got compliments from a lot of passersby on my way home - I'm so happy to find her! Update - I can tell the hair is of good quality - after several washings and torture sessions with the blow dryer, curling iron and flat iron - the hair still looks and feels soft, glossy and bouncy. Pricing - Good hair extensions are not cheap. Some salons charge in the 4-figure range as they take hours to put in. ( quality hair + hourly charge = $$$) So having said that, Claire's prices are reasonable when compared across the board.

I went in thinking I could just jump right back in to the color, highlights and cut I used to have. Unfortunately, after that illness and age, my hair had irreversibly changed and was too weak to take the processes it would take to make my "fantasy" happen. Naz was honest with me, empathetic and kind..she gave me realistic suggestions and "held my hand" throughout, used products that actually helped my hair and educated me on how to use them. I didn't walk out with the fantasy, but I did walk out with healthy, beautiful hair with a great cut. My husband noticed my hair right away (after 20 years of marriage this is a rare occurrence) and thought it looked amazing. And at the end of the day, I felt great about my hair and that's how you want to feel when you walk out of the salon. I cannot recommend Naz and Salon Biology enough!

A few days after my appointment, I called to let them know I wasn't happy with the results. I was told to wait about three weeks before coming back to have it redone. When I called back after that, no one answered. I then left for a work trip to Japan. When I returned, I submitted a request through their website asking for a refund. Someone from the salon called me and asked if I wanted to come back and have the same technician redo the service. I politely asked if I could have a different technician instead, but I was told that wasn't an option. Since I wasn't comfortable having the same person perform the service again, I again requested a refund. Then the owner told me it's too late to have someone at the salon redo it or to get a refund. Horrible customer service. I've attached photos comparing the results. The first photo is the lash lift I received from Salon Biology. The second photo is from a different salon that charged about half the price, and the results were dramatically better. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Salon Biology for lash lifts. I was disappointed not only with the quality of the service but also with how my concerns were handled. I will not be returning.

My feet have been through it the last couple of years (sports) and I wanted to get serious about caring for them properly, not just getting them painted. Of course, I turned to Yelp for the scoop and zeroed in on Ms. Glen's Therapeutic Manicures & Pedicures. I finally got a chance to go see Ms. Glen and it was everything I wanted and more. It was relaxing (I fell asleep)! It was restorative! My feet felt and looked healthy and cared for. I didn't get polished which is great because I have been wanting to go natural for a while to let my nails breathe and focus on what's really happening with my toe nail health. So may things I loved (in no particular order): - Very communicative from the appointment (via phone) to the confirmation and directions (via text) - Ms. Glen greeted me at the door - The studio smells divine (really sets the tranquil mood) - The studio was intimate (just me - yay) - The space was very clean (I am a stickler for clean) - There was a complimentary water waiting on me - Ms. Glen has developed her own techniques and products which speaks to her dedication and specialization (I love people who are passionate about what they do!) - Every step of the treatment was appreciated! (very detailed, very attentive, think - pampering your feet from the in-depth massage to the parrafin to the soaks to the grooming and much much more) - I got socks! This was such a special and much needed last step that I never knew I needed. It made my feet more comfortable and protected after such a beautiful treatment. She even asked me my size. How's that for customer service! - Now this one may seem trivial but I never had to hold my feet up during the treatment unless I was transitioning from the bowl to a towel. I do not like having to do that while someone attends to the bottom of my feel or heels. Ms. Glen has it worked out where I can truly relax the whole time. I also left with one of Ms. Glen's therapeutic hand and foot oils in Lemon. She makes the oils herself! It smells so good and leaves a refreshing but not overpowering scent. It feels good oiling my feet every night. Like another reviewer said, this is not your run of the mill pedicure shop. This is a therapeutic service that is worth every penny. My goal is to make this a regular treatment. If my feet are healthy, I am healthier! Thanks Ms. Glen for such a wonderful experience! I'll be back. And thanks again for the massage therapist recommendation. Rest and recovery, here I come!

If your feet are in need of TLC, renewal and restoration, Ms. Glen has a carefully curated service that will leave your feet feeling brand new. I had recently purchased a soap that helps with skin discoloration. It hasn't been making any improvement in the uneven skin tone and dark marks on my feet. Turns out I just needed an appointment with Ms. Glen. The exfoliation she provided literally rubbed away 15 years from my feet. My dry scratchy heels were left supple and smooth and the calloused areas were left soft. Had I known what I was in store for I would have taken before and after pictures. She even provided socks for me to leave in, to seal in the moisture. My favorite part hands down was the massage. She kneaded into these tired soles, and I needed that! I paid a little more than the price listed (which she does quote as a base price) but she also spent almost 2x the amount of time listed. My Fiancé noticed the difference in appearance and feel immediately. I intentionally waited until 24 hours+ had passed to write this review, wanting to see if my feet would feel just as nice. THEY DO!! Ms. Glen definitely puts pride in her work and I love how she checked in throughout the process to ensure I was satisfied along the way. I recommend her service to anyone looking to give their feet a more youthful feel and look. And if your feet have severe issues that might keep you from visiting open public salons, her private suite will help you feel comfortable and secure. Right before I left, Ms. Glen threw in a bottle of her therapeutic hand & foot oil once she saw how dry my hands were. I had discussed my upcoming nuptials with her and she wanted to make sure my hands moisturized properly for my big day, even providing a demonstration on proper application. Ms. Glen is a gem!

Unexpected Charges and Lack of Transparency…read more I booked my appointment in person on Tuesday 7/15 because I wasn't sure what to select online for Gel-X removal. I trusted the front desk staff to guide me, and was quoted $80 for Gel-X, builder gel removal, and French tip. At my appointment on Friday 7/18, I was unexpectedly charged $110! I was told the card on file couldn't be used for the service--only for late fees or no-shows--which made no sense. If the salon can charge the card for penalties, why not for the actual service being provided? This was especially frustrating because the appointment was a gift for a huge accomplishment of mine, from my mother, so of course I didn't have the physical card with me. On top of that I was also charged extra for nail length without warning, and billed twice for polish: $20 for gel color and $15 for French tip, even though I only received 1 design; french tip. When I asked for clarification, staff just pointed to the online pricing--but I booked in person to avoid that confusion. The experience felt misleading. I intentionally came in person to avoid confusion and relied on the staff to guide me accurately. Unfortunately, that did not happen. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. If you're considering booking here, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for more transparent and customer-friendly service.

I came back for a refill, and two days later was in some of the most pain I've ever been in due to a cuticle infection. I voiced concerns that my skin was being cut, but they were shrugged off. After coming into the salon to show them the infection, the front desk staff was polite and helpful advising they would reach out to the owner and share photos they took of the nail. Days passed and I followed up again via phone as I didn't hear back. The owner of the salon requested PHI pertaining to the infection, including what Rx I was on, in order to even consider a refund. Initially, a gift card for the amount spent on the service was offered in lieu of a refund. I mentioned I was not comfortable receiving another service, and received a call back letting me know the owner was willing to grant a refund. Overall, the back and forth took about a week and a half. I was new to the entire gelx process, and am posting this review to let anyone else looking to embark on that journey know they should ask questions and voice their concerns. There are seemingly many happy patrons, but this was my individual experience.

I have been going to get my haircut by Germaine for 14 years. She is friendly, efficient (in & out in less than 30 minutes with the best hair wash EVER), a master stylist and extremely cost effective (I don't think she has increased her price since I have going to see her). My wife paid for me to get a haircut at a trendy place in Hollywood about 10 years ago. It took well over and hour, was WAY overpriced (I think she paid as much for that haircut as I pay for Germaine's services annually) and was not as good as Germaine's haircut. I used to live close to the salon but recently moved 15 miles away and still go to see Germaine every month. I highly recommend Germaine as the best hairstylist in LA, go to see her - you wont be disappointed! read more

I have been going to Jayrun at Minx Salon for my color and cut for years. The salon is appointment only so you don't have to deal with the chaos of other crowded salons - this is a very exclusive experience. Jayrun herself is amazing. They call her the blonde whisperer because she's an expert with color. Whether she's doing an hombre (before EVERYONE was doing it) or highlights, or bringing me back to my natural dark hair its ALWAYS on point. Aside from loving my hair I never come out of there feeling like its damaged (which is what has happened in the past before going to Jayrun). Highly recommended! I am so happy my boyfriend, Stephen, referred me to Germaine! Not only is she great with men's cuts but I now know she is great with color and cuts for women. I have tried so many over the years from the "brand name" salons to Supercuts and have come to know Germaine gets it over and over again. I just came from another terrific experience (and terrific haircut) at MINX Salon. It's on the corner of Wilshire and Bundy, tucked into little shopping center behind Ralphs. Plenty of parking in the Ralphs parking lot. The owner, German, is SO great at what she does. I've been going to German for several years now, and I've always had a great haircut. Jayrun is absolutely amazing. This was my first time going light/ombre and I love the color. She made sure that the color was exactly what I wanted before I left the salon. Germaine and Jayrun at Minx are terrific. I am a dark brunette, going grey, and my natural color is very tricky. Too light and it makes my skin sallow, too dark and it looks harsh. By some miracle involving precisely the perfect timing, and just the right online search…read moreparameters, I discovered this wonderful human being. Everyone wrote so highly of her, prompting me to bookmark the business, so as not to lose a possibility for future use. Prior to combing through Yelp, I had just wet my hair under the kitchen faucet, quickly toweled it dry, and dashed to the car with the aim of fitting in a much needed haircut at another place. When I typed the address in to GPS, it turned out they had already closed at 6pm (instead of 7pm, as I had thought). All three of the other places I had been considering were by appointment only, likewise closed, or too far away (with traffic) for me to make it in time. Fariba was also closing soon. I decided to act quickly, not overthink it, and take a chance. I called to see if there were any cancellations in the next 20 minutes, and she was able to fit me in right away. (What a blessing.) Because my hair is quite short, was growing out into a bit of a mess (after shaving it off the last time), and I had not previously been happy with the places I had tried, I really did not know what to expect. Simultaneously, I had a very positive feeling from within, and felt surprisingly hopeful. It was indeed my good fortune to find Fariba. She is warm, kind, detail-oriented, very highly skilled, reasonably priced, and an absolute delight. This woman is a bright light! (Truth be told, she also rescued me from shaving my head yet again, which I really did not want to do right now, because I miss having hair, as well as having a more feminine aesthetic.) Sometimes spontaneity truly rewards us. Not only that, following those sweet little threads of possibility when they arise in consciousness to be noticed, can really open up stagnant energy in myriad ways, leading to rather inspiring outcomes that may potentially impact other areas of life. The visit was akin to receiving some sort of nutritive infusion. During the appointment, I never once felt stressed, anxious, confused, or worried about what the outcome would be. To the contrary, I felt peace and trust. I left feeling uplifted, relieved, more vibrant, and even smiling (which I have not done for some time). It was like dropping by to see a dear friend, after which you depart with a bit more pep in your step, and tangibly more sparkly than when you arrived. I took my elementary school age daughter here today for a cut and they did a fantastic job. She's not one to sit still but they were cool with her using a fidget toy while they cut her hair. They explained the process and most important they listened to her and what she wanted. Her hair looks great (or Slay as she says) The vibe here is rad as well. They have magazines which is cool to see in this day and age. The staff is awesome and the salon dog is super sweet. So I didn't do well to maintain my previously ombre hair. And much to my dismay, I saw my hair grow longer (yay) but rattier (nay) during this quarantine. I feel much lighter and my hair is so much healthier. I got 4 inches cut off, a mask treatment in between, long layers and light dusting to remove the higher up split ends. I am not sure how long she will remain open because of the recent surge, but I appreciated her salon's cleanliness, her disinfecting protocol and very importantly her TLC with my hair. And FYI we both wore our masks and I refrained from touching my phone during our session as well as washed my hands pre and post haircut. I would definitely come back.
