The most delicious sandwiches in Fayetteville! A little pricey but worth it. Great service too!

A sign of the revivification of downtown Fayetteville, this sandwich shop has been on my list for a while. It is small, but does offer indoor and outdoor seating (or it would have on a nicer day anyway). The sandwich selection includes toasted options and some vegetarian (not so much for the more restrictive diets). I skipped a foccacia option for the breakfast that I ate elsewhere on the expectation that I would eat here and that the bread would be really good, and it was in fact really good. The freshly browned exterior dominated the flavor, but that's not to say that the fresh mix of cheese and vegetables on the inside didn't contribute. I got an options with artichokes and pepper relish and it was a really rounded flavor. They had a few sides and breakfast options in addition to the core flavors. I didn't indulge in those, but I did get a canned sparkling water (the water quality issues in this part of North Carolina are well documented). The sandwich I came for was about as delicious as the other reviews led me to believe. It's a winner. read more

Little sandwich shop downtown. Good sounding sandwiches. A little hectic as they are small but it is worth it! Very local vibe. I recommend grabbing a table first if you are dinning in to review the menu. You can get paper menus by the register. Also don't forget to take a look at hte menu on the right wall as they have some items not on the menu and ideas to make your own sandwich. We grabbed a couple of sandwiches and shared them. The dogwood with black forest ham, milano salami, provolone, peppadew relish, red onion was really good. Plenty of sandwich for one and nice amount for sharing. I had the Capitol. Black forest ham, milano salami, smoked chicken, provolone, muenster, L/T, rec onion, house vinaigrette. Very fresh and very large. This is a half! Everything was so fresh and delicious. Perfectly dressed. Portion to cost is awesome! You'll get a good sandy and a very reasonable price. read more

The restaurant was super smoky. Not sure if that's a regular thing or not. For a sandwich and a side you're paying right at $20. Then they charge you $1 for a little cup of sauce.... Sandwiches were good. Pasta salad I could've done without, onions were very overpowering. read more

Very cute place in downtown Fayetteville. I had the "Prancing Pony" and my husband had the "Icarus". Both had great flavor. It was nice out so we were able to sit outside in the shade. read more

Stopped for lunch. Happy to see outdoor seating as there are only a few spaces inside. Had the Rowan salad which was hearty and very good. Husband had the LaForza sandwich. Both came fast, had fresh ingredients and were super tasty. read more

Decided to stop in during an impromptu downtown date with the hubby and so glad we did! We received a warm welcome from the young lady at the counter. She was extremely helpful with the menu as this was our first time here. Our food came out very quickly and was delicious! Everything was fresh and full of flavor. My husband ordered the Dali and I had the Crunchy Boy. We ordered the half sizes and the portions were very generous. The atmosphere is relaxed and laid back with a nice music selection to set the vibe. We absolutely loved it and will be back soon! read more

Another amazing lunch here! I wasn't aware their subs were this gigantic so only order a half unless you want to get lunch and dinner at once. Unlike the chain sandwich shops, they do not skimp on meat or condiments. My only regret is I am only able to eat here when in town on business because the meals have been great on my two visits. read more

I didn't know factor what I wanted, so I asked the cashier and she recommended Ride Up or Early Bird. I went with the Early Bird and the strawberry lemonade to drink. My absolute favorite downtown lunch spot! The location is near a side parking lot right near the Market house round-about which makes it easy to get to. The ambiance is nice, relaxed and cozy. Everything is consistently fresh, delicious, and made exactly as promised. They serve a variety of handcrafted sandwiches, fresh salads, and homemade soup using all local and fresh ingredients. My favorite is the Leclair and the tomato basil soup! This is a family owned business which I love supporting! Everyone is super friendly and accommodating. I love the two regular girls that work the register and front end. No matter how busy they are, I never wait long and I'm always met with a smile and patience. Tried Pan for a second time and it was equally awesome as the first. Amazing mix of flavors, think of a deli that makes other delis seem average at best...and I love other delis. Try the "hot" options with some chips and cream soda. Great salad options that are hard to find anywhere. Multiple all veggie options. Sublime Pressed Panini Sandwich! My wife recommended that we stop by the Pan Sandwich Shoppe for lunch, after she was blown away by the breakfast sandwich she recently tried. I must admit, she was on the money. This shoppe makes the greatest, sublime sandwiches bar none. I got the Margherita Panini and she got the Prancing Pony Panini. We went away totally impressed with the care and amazing abilities that this location puts into their sandwiches. The Prancing Pony Panini is Black Forest Ham, Asian Pears, Fig Preserves, and Brie Cheese on Toasted Ciabatta Bread brushed with Olive Oil. The Margherita Panini had Fresh Mozzarella, tomato, balsamic vinaigrette, mixed greens plus both basil and red Pesto and also came on a Toasted Ciabatta Bread brushed with Olive Oil. Holyyyyyy Yum! This new(ish) addition to downtown is something that should definitely be on everyone's radar! The entire menu is full of awesome flavor combinations, fresh ingredients, and house made items. The bread is locally sourced from Superior Bakery! I love the clean open decor and cute seating both indoor and out. You order at the counter and take a number to your table, the beverages and chips are up there to grab as well as some brownies. My first visit I had the Gilbert with tortellini salad and the second time a Lafayette with cucumber and tomato salad. The meats, cheese, toppings and sauces all come together amazingly to me. The melty cheese and crisp bread of these paninis is just outstanding. I went twice in as many weeks, and I don't think I will be slowing down any time soon! read more

Was in the town of Fayetteville, NC with my husband by happenstance; and searched for a good lunch spot that would have a good salad option for me. We ordered a Rowan salad with lemon-pistachio dressing and a Flora panini. Seriously, 2 of the best lunch meals we have ever tasted! Small place with tiny counter where you order your choices from the boards above. Lovely woman at that tiny counter made me a fresh pot of coffee and brought us our food. So so good. I got a salad and a sandwich. I ate the Rowan and Giuseppe. I really wanted a turkey sandwich. But I didn't see any turkey, only smoked chicken. The Giuseppe has ham and some salami and something else I don't know. The mixture of the mustard and pesto was the most delish thing ever. The salad with lemon pistachio vinaigrette was great too. I'm not normally a "sandwich-person," but Pan has changed that in a MAJOR way. I come here all the time, I love the cafe-style seating and the decor is fresh and unique. The Sevvy is truly the best vegetarian sandwich you can get in the area. Pair that with the rosemary garlic chips and you are tasting perfection. I love the menu, it's so creative. The bagels are also the best non-chain bagels in the area, I just wish they opened earlier so I could get one with a coffee before work! They also sell dressings by the register, I have bought the whole collection (lol). Pan, and Napkins (same owner) at Dirtbags, are two of my favorite restaurants in the area. You'll get something you're familiar with done in a totally new way. Kudos to whoever created the menu, you knocked it out of the park! read more
