When we arrived the parking lot was packed and vehicles were in the overflow area. We waited about 5 minutes to be seated. The table they brought us to had not been wiped down from the previous patrons. Went to the restroom to wash my hands. The men's bathroom certainly could have used attention and the paper towels were out. We all ordered a root beer. All of us agreed the Rootbeer was completely flat and tasted watered down even though they said it came from a 2 liter. The next round we ordered sweet tea. But it was barely sweet and sadly no packets of sugar on the table. During our entire time the waitress didn't remove one dish or glass from the table. We were seated at a small square table and it became very hard to sit and eat properly due to this. Gloves were provided at the buffet serving station. I tried a little bit of most things. 01 Coleslaw, hush puppy. Average on both 02 Grouper sea bass, cat fish. Not much seasoning at all, and very slightly over cooked 03 Sautéed shrimp, very lightly seasoned with what looked like boil seasoning 04 Baked imitation crab, barely seasoned 05 Crawfish, the first batch went through a full seasoned boil and the tails were flavorful for the ones I could actually eat. Quite a few the tail meat was mushy and a very dark gray. The 2nd batch they skipped a formal and proper boil. The meat was flavorless and tasted as if it was simply boiled in water. 06 clam strips and fried scallop pieces, average at best. 07 cheese grits very soupy and not much flavor 08 peel and eat shrimp, decent flavor with a slight lemon undertone. The cocktail sauce was on the table in a red squeeze bottle. 09 banana pudding, I liked it quite a bit 10 Chocolate pudding with wafers, weird chocolate flavor. Everyone at our table pretty much agrees with the assessment of what I just wrote. The building inside and out needs updating. The seafood buffet was I think $24 dollars each or so. Sadly I was pretty disappointed overall and we will not be eating there again. Especially with the waitress leaving everything to stack up and not remove anything at all. We sat at the table for at least 5-7 minutes in a quite obvious manner that we were done. She visited the two table right beside us and never brought the bill. I decided to take it upon myself to just go up to the cash register and tell them what we had. She must have noticed me waiting in line to pay and brought our bill to me.

But it wasn't a problem because the two girls checking us in were fast. They explained that it's three different buffets. This is where I get a little confused. So, you have the Seafood Buffet, the Country Cookin, and one more. Now we chose the Country Cookin, and it was beyond good. I went back for the beef tips and rice twice. The fried chicken was the crispiest I've ever had. The baked chicken was falling from the bones, and I had that with creamed corn and collard greens. Not many people can cook collard greens or creamed corn. I was very impressed. After my first two plates, I started to sample because I wanted to try all the food, and because each item had its own flavor and the way it was supposed to be cooked. I think this lady and I were about to rumble over the hushpuppies. We were both trying to figure out how they were made. I also had a big bowl of green beans, and I was elated to know these were cooked the old-fashioned way. I'm not a big fan of Blackberry Cobbler. But since everything I tried was good, I thought I should try the cobbler, and ten out of ten, it was the best. In overall this is really a good buffet.

Problem was that from the time we entered, throughout our meal and even as we were checking out a woman was on her phone talking LOUD with the phone on speaker. This woman seemed to be the owner so I guess she felt she could do what she wants. She walked around on the phone and several times sat in the booth right next to us continuing her conversation at an extreme level. The only time she stopped talking was to check someone out at the register, and even then she didn't bother too acknowledge the customer paying. Tried to have a nice dinner with my friends but it was difficult since the only thing you could really hear was this woman talking. Besides being rude I am seriously concerned that this woman needs to have her hearing checked.

First red flag I saw was when I went to the bathrooms. I noticed the signs stated "ONLY WOMEN ALLOWED" and "ONLY MEN ALLOWED" which gave me an icky feeling but I figured maybe I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. But then when I went back to the table and started eating and my friend joined me, a man came up to our table and got in her face and started yelling at her that she scared his daughter by going to the bathroom. However, there was no daughter in sight, plus there was no one else in the bathroom besides me, her, and there was a waitress who went in after. He got really aggressive and I was surprised that no one on staff did anything to mediate the situation. This was the worst discriminatory moment I've had ever witnessed in a restaurant. Luckily my friend's partner came and eventually I think the man got scared so he left. Transphobia is not okay, and this man & the bystanders who did nothing should all be ashamed of themselves. The bathroom signage also does not help at all-- and my friend has been a loyal customer of this establishment and told me the signage used to just say WOMEN & MEN so the language changed. As for service - it's a buffet so it's self service but complete lack of empathy from staff was extremely disappointing.

We were heading to Callaway Gardens to pick up some Venice jewelry (I'll talk about that later), when I discovered that the Oyster House -- the seafood spot I was counting on -- was permanently closed according to Yelp. I was devastated. Like... fully prepared to cancel Pine Mountain altogether. I was having a whole moment. Then I did a little digging and found out that Eddie Mae's Kountry Kitchen & Oyster Bar had the same owner. I found this out before we arrived, and I knew immediately -- we HAD to stop there. And let me tell you... January 3, 2026 -- this is all I needed in my life. This is GOOD seafood. Like, really good seafood. Freshly cooked. Hot. Flavorful. Done right. The service? AMAZING. The people? Warm, genuine, country hospitality at its finest. The vibe? Real, welcoming, and comfortable -- no nonsense, just good food and good people. Food. Service. Atmosphere. People. Clean restaurant. Clean restrooms. Five stars across the board. I'll be honest -- I will never come to Pine Mountain again unless I know Eddie Mae's is open. I need y'all to hang in there with me because otherwise I can't even travel outside of Atlanta for real. If you want legit seafood, incredible service, and that authentic country goodness -- this is the place.

Wrangling twenty hungry folks is no small feat, but our waitress handled us like a maestro conducting a seafood symphony. Not one single mess up. Not one forgotten order. Just pure joy, laughter, and the kind of energy that makes you swear her heart runs on sweet tea and Sunday kindness. She didn't just serve us, she took care of us. Her laughter kept us laughing, her smile kept us smiling, and her love for what she does poured out like sweet tea on a hot day. The world needs more people like her, because she reminded us that service can be more than just food, it can be a refreshing, soul filling experience. And the food? Absolutely amazing. Not only did we have seafood, but some of us went for the buffet, the kiddos got their grilled cheese, and the burgers were downright delicious. Plates of goodness that made us forget all about yesterday's turkey coma. To top it off, they had my favorite wine (hallelujah!) and beers for everyone else, which meant the whole table was happy. Eddie Mae's gave us more than lunch, it gave us a memory. A funny, touching, belly filling memory that we'll be talking about for years. Five stars, no hesitation.
