I was excited to see the Groupon for a 75 minute European facial because it had been about 9 months since I had a facial and was needing one. The value for the price was phenomenal. Margot was amazing and far exceeded my expectations. The location was very serene and calming. Her room had a water feature, soft / warm bed and really nice music. She greeted me as soon as I walked in to the lobby and didn't keep me waiting at all throughout the entire appointment. The facial was so relaxing and calming....not only for what she did to my skin, but the neck massage, the aromatherapy and her super soothing voice and words. She knows just how to fully get you relaxed and calm and forget the stresses of the day - which is one of the things I enjoy about getting spa treatments. The Dermatologica products were amazing. This is a high end line that you don't often see at spas, at least I had not come across it in a long time. The products smelled amazing which is important to me....and really amplifies the facial. My face felt so soft and hydrated when I left and I admit it, I kept touching it throughout the rest of the evening because it felt so good. Margot is extremely knowledgeable about skin types, the products she uses and ongoing skincare programs. I ended up buying a sampler pack of my favorite items she tried on me but there was no pressure. The misting toner was one of my favorites and I am already addicted to it. It smells so light and fresh and easily gives your face the extra hydration it needs. And you can do it on your couch, at your desk, while driving.....LOL, its really easy to use. I love getting facials and I was really surprised to find another facial place in my neighborhood. I read the reviews on Yelp, looked at Heidi's website, and liked the fact that she also does Reiki, so I texted her earlier in the week to see if she had availability today. Luckily she did, so I booked the Retinol Plus Facial, half arm wax, and a Reiki add-on. She has a pretty extensive facial list - I think there are around 13 different facials listed on her website, so you have a nice choice to to suit your needs. The facial was amazing - my skin looks luminous and I'm actually glowing. I loved everything about the facial, and I normally don't say this, but the massage was my favorite part (I would usually say getting my skin clean of any impurities). Heidi's massage is firm and through - I loved it. I also loved the Reiki, and I told Heidi I was either going to add more time my next visit, or do a full Reiki session. I don't know what your thoughts are on Reiki, but I have always felt better and just lighter after I have Reiki performed on me. If you are coming in for a facial or another service, I would highly recommend doing an add-on of Reiki. It's only $25 to add on, and completely worth it. The space is also really comforting, in soothing shades of grey and white. And the memory foam treatment bed is beyond comfortable, you literally just sink into it and melt. You can tell Heidi has a great sense of style and it shows in every nook and cranny. Even the bathroom is adorable. I've been to some places that have "cleaner lines", i.e. a little more modern, but I really like Heidi's space much more. It's how I would decorate, if I had a spot like that. Heidi also has a nice array of products available (her own line, Yonka and Jan Marini) and she gave me three good size sample products to take home and try. I love when people do that, because you never know how your skin is going to react, so I appreciate samples to try first. She also didn't try to push any products on me, which I appreciate. And lastly, she also has some beautiful jewelry on sale that she has made - a great selection of earrings that I'm going to take a closer look the next time I go back. Heidi is warm and funny, and makes you feel comfortable immediately. She is one of the best estheticians I have encountered, and I can tell you I have had countless facials in many cities over the past 20 years. Overall, it was an amazing experience and I can't wait to go back.

To start, she would stand there talking to you for 10 to 15 minutes before she started, but did not make up for it with your facial time. Hour Facials wound up being around 45 minutes. When I questioned her about this, she said she needed time to get ready. Shouldn't she get ready before I get there? She also talked about herself non-stop throughout treatment. Often times she was late and I would have to wait outside for her until she drove up. Bottom line- While treatments were enjoyable, who doesn't like getting creams rubbed in, they were not effective. My acne issues persisted despite spending many hundreds of dollars in products and services. I kept trying for several months but with no improvement in my skin, finally had a lightbulb go on about her products. My research led me to learn that peptides can cause or irritate acne! Retreat! Oh what a retreat!…read more Last October Shanna and Loni held a fabulous playful and introspective woman's retreat in Phoenix Arizona. It was there that seven woman would share a home together for a five days. We would unwind from the outside world, travel to Sedona, experience a vortex, rest, relax and play. All the while getting to know one another, and simultaneously being granted time to process on our own, and during check ins. Our needs were of the top most priority, and we were well taken care of in all regards. We were graciously offered meditation and movement classes in the mornings (which were wonderful, perfectly tailored to our needs, and fun) and although we had an itinerary planned, and adventures we would go in, it felt easy going each day, and all we had to do was show up and say yes. Yes to a new experience in a new place, and more over, yes to our Mind, Body, Spirit connection for what ever the universe presented to us. Mind: We were engaged in playful activity through games, sharing stories and laughter which lead to open hearted conversation, going within while remaining willing to be present, staying supportive of our new network of sisters and holding mindful space for everyone as the beautiful unique individuals we are. Body: We hiked in numerous locations, sang, swam, soaked, slept, and danced! We ate delicious and lovingly prepared nutritious meals. And were offered Massage, Reiki, and Tibetan Cranial. Spirit: Sedona's Bell Mountain shared a vortex with myself and many of the other woman. This was a spiritual experience in which I am still learning to understand and unpack it from time to time. The retreat was so well rounded. I highly recommend a retreat with Natural Body Works. Shanna and Loni work very well together, and ensure safe and centered heart-space in which to come together, go within, and get to know our inner playful selves in order to more readily access our joy. I am so grateful to have shown up and said yes, yes to my Mind, Body, and Spirit, but mainly yes to myself so I could fully receive the gifts being presented to me through my many interactions with a great group of woman.
