They talked everything over with me prior and assured me that if she got too stressed out, they wouldn't continue (big news for people used to the pump-and-dump groomers that don't care!) When I came to pick my kitty up, she was relaxed in her carrier- might as well be a kitty spa. Nails clipped, ears cleaned, full wash, dry, and lion cut in an hour and a half! Nichole was very professional and gave us an excellent tour. Gave us spot on information about Fur-baby's and was very helpful. I was amazed at how clean and well kept the facilities were. When we toured the inner kennel there were no urine or feces smell and the dogs were kept in custom made wooden kennels. I have toured several kennels in the Columbus area and the smell hit me like a brick the second I walked in. Not here! When we toured the run area we were not only surprised at how big it was but also how clean! Not one sight of doggy doo anywhere. Oh and Did I mention the pictures they post several times a day! We quickly found out that Bo is an impressive jumper once he was in the care of Paws & Play. He was able to clear their 6 foot fence! Luckily they caught him and called me immediately. At pickup we were told that not only had he jumped the fence he jumped from stall to stall (just to socialize) and that's the reason he isn't allowed back. I 100% understand this decision and respect it due to safety concerns. They spoke so sweetly of my jumping bean despite all the trouble he caused. Even recommended other facilities in the area that could possibly help. Based on my experience, I can attest to how much the employees & owners care for these animals. They were sad Bo couldn't come back, but maybe once his jumping is under control we can try again.

As a veterinarian of many years and a passionate dog mom, I am extremely picky about the handling and care of my fur babies. The facility is beautiful and CLEAN! They promise frequent activity of their residents. They work with you to comply with special nutritional needs, supplied by you. I also totally agree with their requirement to have your dog (s) spend a 1/2 day boarding ( daycare) to see how they acclimate and how their temperament is, prior to boarding your dogs. In Florida, my boarding facility had the same requirements and my shepherd was happy to go and was bright, alert when I went to pick her up. Therefore when she was boarding, she was relaxed about the experience. The reason for four stars instead of five is because, I haven't boarded my shepherds yet. Visually this facility deserves a five star. I hope and believe, that after my shepherds stay there, it will be totally a five star facility.

Our other pup is a 2.5 year old Pit Shepherd mix who is very high energy. Normally when I bring my yorkie mix to someone to watch in their home she barks consistently and will not eat hardly if any because of her separation anxiety. I was very concerned leaving her somewhere where there were other dogs and she wouldn't have the one on one care she usually gets when we are out of town. The pit mix is excited about everything and is just excited to exist so I knew he would have a good time regardless. Izzy was amazing! She listened to my concerns and found an area where they could be boarded separately but still be together. They were in two separate kennels that shared a wall so they could comfort one another. I would have had them boarded together but the younger one always presses the older to play and she can only take so much even though she's very attached to him. Izzy showed me pictures of our yorkie sleeping on her back stomach up which she only does when she's very comfortable and happy! She also told me that our yorkie ate every day she was there. She didn't finish her food the first day but I was so shocked she ate all her food every day after that. Normally when we pick them up from anywhere they run to us so happy to see us. This time they seemed happy to see us but it was almost like I was picking the kids up from camp. They weren't overwhelmingly happy to see us as if they had a good time. Our Pit mix even greeted one of of the groomers Bryan before greeting us I can not thank Izzy or the Columbus Boarding and Training facility enough for taking care of my pups and for making a very stressful situation so much easier. I even received them bathed and smelling fresh for no extra charge. Thank you again

I took him here and he got his haircut by Katie and they did not finish his shave down. They took forever just for me to call and then they tell me they could only finish half of his body.. claimed he was aggressive but his original groomer has never said anything about him being aggressive.. if he was I paid $43 instead of $52 for a ugly cut when I should've been charged way less and now I got to pay extra to take him to his ORIGINAL groomer.. I learned my lesson.. with the ugly haircut I shouldn't have paid $43 at all.. and he still stink like they never gave him a shower... and if he was aggressive that means they weren't handling him right..DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE espicially to her
