I literally just picked a hang nail/callused skin off my big toe as I typed this. The polish is uneven near my cuticles, it does not cover the sides of the nails, and there is plenty of polish stuck to the skin around my nails and cuticles. The tech dropped the UV light on my toe nails. I arrived and was greeted by no one. The nail tech asked if I was there for a pedicure and told me to pick a color. I clarified that I was there for shellac, to which the woman replied "oh no." I then waited 25 minutes so that she could run to her house and get the UV light, as she thought I was there for a regular pedi and was not prepared. After waiting 20 minutes, I moved my car because street parking was 1 hour. I confirmed at the desk that I was indeed scheduled for shellac. When she returned, she used the water that she had started with 25 minutes ago, which was then cold. I do not pamper myself very often and was really looking forward to having beautiful toenails. Now I am stuck with a bad polish job and am out $48 (40+20% tip). I am unbelievably disappointed and will most likely go to a different salon later this week to have them redone.

Still, she got upset and kept saying, "You said it was good," which I acknowledged and told her was my mistake. After that, though, she seemed flustered and irritated about fixing them. She rushed through the rest, and I could see the nails were coming out crooked, but at that point, I felt too uncomfortable to say anything. When she finished, she literally shoved my hand back and said, "Okay, you're done, goodbye." I was honestly shocked. The nails themselves don't look great, the tips are scuffed, the cuticles are messy, and a few are noticeably crooked. The older man there was really kind and kept offering snacks and free hand lotion, which I appreciated, but overall, I left feeling unwelcome and awkward. My injector made me feel comfortable and even provided me with anxiety relief tools. She was precise, patient, and provided wonderful patient care. Unfortunately, my injector is no longer at this business but I'd be willing to see others who are also qualified and experienced. I also appreciate the complementary 2 week follow up because it alleviates any concerns about possible complications.

I have only had Dysport, nothing else and recently went to an equally if not a better location for similar injectables at the Vancouver waterfront and it was a fraction of the price. You can also find Groupons (then cross check their Yelp reviews) for a fraction of that. I usually prefer to do lasers etc when I travel because it is MUCH LESS than of the price for the same treatments in the states, but I usually get Botox at home. Overall the vibes are weird, cons of treatments (other than dangerous) aren't really shared, or alternative options for the look you want are not shared (if not sold here) similar to other reviews. I originally tried Dysport in my massetur muscles in my jaw for tension. It helped of course but I did notice slight jowling after which I found out was correlated/caused from Botox in the jaw from tiktok vids. Needless to say, it isn't addressing the underlying problem and is just a bandaid. My last appointment here, I shared I wanted to look a little lifted and refreshed mostly under my eyes. I had done lasers and microneedling in the past which helped, but was short lived. Now -- more thanks to tiktok -- I probably need to fork over for sculptra or sofwave. This will NOT be fixed by injectables. My nurse told me she could do a little cheek filer and some other filler around my face. Mind you, I'm terrified of filler. Potentially I would want a facelift down the line which I have heard can complicate that process, but mostly I don't like the bloated look, it is often so obvious and then you become blind to it, keep getting it, and look crazy. Especially in the cheeks. I already have full lips so I don't need that. It was sold as if it would even out my face and give more balance, and I thought about it, did trust the nurse, who had great texture but who's own filler was still a tad overdone, making me a little wary. It's not like Botox where it wears off over months. You're getting it "dissolved" or whatever with little lumps lying around forever, so I wanted to take the time to think about it and ended up canceling. I could see others being very pressured and trying at the appointment even though I'm sure this is as overpriced as Botox and it gives you the vibes they're trying to hit a metric. They should give you options--even if they don't offer the treatment--for the result you are looking for.
