She was consistently clear and responsive about communication throughout the process, and was generally open to all of our suggestions while providing the expertise you want from a professional baker. August 2022 Really wanted to potentially do business, I sent a request through the email portal and days later got a call- and an apology for not having been contacted sooner. I returned the call and haven't heard back so far after a week. I hate to give a poor review but I can't do business when I can't seem to discuss what I'm looking for. Based on my first impressions I would have concerns ordering a cake for an event. I really wanted to support a local business, but now I'm leaning in a different direction. I wouldn't rule out going to the bakery if in the area though to purchase. This is my experience alone. I hope you have a better experience. read more

We had a cake being made for our wedding reception on October 12th. First off, we had a taste testing scheduled a couple months before the wedding. Since we live in Georgia, my mom was to meet with the owner but instead was stood up.. She said she got the days mixed up, so they had to reschedule. (That should have been a sign to find a different place). So they do the taste testing, and we have consistent communication leading up to the event. So the day comes, and the cake is to be delivered to the venue (literally a block from her shop) and when we get to the venue after our ceremony with all of our friends and family we come to find that the cake was never delivered. We called her and she would not answer, and then texted us and said the wedding was scheduled for the 13th and not the 12th, when the contract clearly states the 12th. So in full panic mode, she called her daughter to unlock her shop so my wife's bridesmaids can go pick it up during the reception. When they got there, the daughter was trying to finish the cake, but instead just handed us a bag of decorations to do it ourselves. This was a $275 cake, so not exactly cheap and not what you would expect to get for this price. The cake was also so dry that we ended up just ordering a pre made cake from a local bakery so our guests wouldn't choke to death. I literally would have preferred a Walmart cake over this. We asked for a refund, and she would only give us $100 back, and then never replied when I asked for at least half. Please choose a different business to give your money too, this place should be shut down. read more

Horrible customer service. My fiance and I scheduled a tasting and were informed THREE HOURS BEFORE that is was canceled. we both took a day off of work to do this. We were told that we would get a confirmation by the middle of the week. By the time Thursday afternoon came she never called to confirm, so we called TWICE and left two messages with no response. 9 am this morning we got the cancelation text. If you cancel last minute for a tasting imagine what will happen the day of the event. This place was recommended by our venue and I have no idea why. I definitely do not recommend this place to anyone. read more

We made an appointment to discuss and taste wedding cakes three weeks prior to our appointment date (wedding in October). We chose all the cake and filling flavors that we wanted to try and watched her write it down on her calendar with our appointment. When we arrived she was completely unprepared, only two cake flavors were made for us (chocolate and yellow no fillings), not the one she had raved about (banana) which we were looking forward to trying. She said she had no idea what we wanted to try....needless to say we will not be using this bakery for our wedding. read more

Just be careful when placing an order. As a cake decorator myself who used to live in the area and looked up to them, I have noticed on multiple occassions that they post photos of someone else's work (bloggers and decorators that I, myself, follow) and they never give credit, making it seem like they did it on their own. I will not deny that some of their work is great, but again, just be careful. A photo of a cake you may see and want might just be given to you looking completely different. Ya know, because they didnt actually do it the first time around. As an already established business, I dont understand how an owner can be comfortable stealing the work of others and claiming them as their own. To each their own I guess. read more

This place is amazing. The owner is so helpful and creative. She sat down with my daughter and then came up with the perfect sweet 16 cake design! She stayed within my budget and managed to make my 16 year old completely happy!! When we picked it up I nearly cried. It was exactly what we wanted and more. It was the centerpiece of our party and it tasted as good as it looked. The buttercream is delicious and the chocolate and vanilla cake were moist and fluffy. If I could give this place 10 stars I would. read more

Pamkakes just made the most amazing cake for our wedding celebration. They worked with us on the design and created a true work of art. In addition to being beautiful the cake was delicious. I ordered a cake from Pamkakes for my son's 2nd birthday. It was to be a paw patrol theme. The owner had me come down to her shop to "design the cake" which I did. She took a full page of notes on what I wanted. We agreed to a $200 price for a cake and 40 cupcakes. She showed me a picture of what the cupcakes would look like which I agreed to and asked for extra icing. They were supposed to be colorful and have little pawprints with a topper. The cupcakes that I got were plain white with the toppers, no pawprint, no color, and not enough icing to even cover the top. The cake itself was supposed to have a color around the base with a tag that would have my son's name on it. The bone was supposed to say Happy Birthday and there was supposed to be a number 2 on top. The only thing that was what we designed on the cake was the 3 dogs. She messaged me the day before saying she made the pups to big and would have to place them differently. I okayed different placement. Instead she made a completely different cake. The paper on the front with Happy Birthday hand written on is curled as well. When my mom went to pick up the cake there was a 4 on top. How does a professional cake maker mess up the age that's supposed to be on a cake? She literally had a full page of notes and drawings from our discussion to refer to. She was able to fix the age but in my opinion that's something that should have been right the first time. I tried messaging her about my dissatisfaction and she blocked me so I couldn't say anymore and blocked me so I couldn't leave her a review on Facebook rather then fixing the problem. I actually had a party guest ask me why I bought cupcakes at WalMart and a cake somewhere else. I had many guests tell me I was ripped off for that price and the end product. And most of my guests (minus the kids who just wanted sugar) say that the cake wasn't good, didn't have enough icing, and was plain dry. My own mom choked on it because it was so dry. Never again will I order from this fraud. read more
