The front counter boasts freshly made baked goods. My fiancé had the breakfast skillet- it was pretty good but the eggs were slightly runny. Still had that clear film on it but no big deal. They serve you a large portion of pressed coffee accompanied by a random assortment of pastries/bread/bagel while you wait for your food. They also have a french toast bar- didn't try it but would like to. Anyways the man at the counter was wonderful and seems very passionate and proud in what they do- as he should be! We left with a cup of fresh squeezed orange juice, an everything bagel, a mini caramel cheesecake, and lemon meringue pie! Kudos to this local business. We will definitely be back!

I came in with my inspiration pictures and they were very kind and honest. My first few pictures were very detailed and they offered me alternatives that worked best for both of us. We decided on a design for the cake and set a date. Very smooth process. I want to mention that Cassandra was very out of pocket. Cassandra, why would you reach out with personal phone numbers? Very strange. Cindy is a very kind and thoughtful person and I read her response to your review and threatening a business owner at 5:44 is very unproductive. Go to sleep babes. Cindy and Lynn you guys rock! So excited to keep doing business with you guys!

I normally don't have a bad experience, but this time was HORRIBLE. I messaged the personal number…read moreon September 2 (mind you the party isn't until December 12) that I've been using every year to order my son's cake, I was blown off for WEEKS until I got a call October 1st from Cindy. The call was not professional at all, she explained they were extremely busy with weddings They also explained that the inspiration pictures I sent were too detailed and weren't able to do them (not a problem) so I sent a not so detailed one asking if this was something they would be able to do, and then was left on read again. So I followed up asking if again this was something you'd be able to do (on a Monday) after knowing that they are closed on Mondays, I got a response right away, basically saying that I needed an answer right away. It's not that I needed an answer right away, being in a business you don't leave customers on read for weeks or days, being closed 5 days out of the week. Cindy's customer service and communication was horrible. There's people I know that have ordered 2-3 WEEKS before a party and they don't have an issue fitting them in. I have screenshots, and unfortunately I can't put the voicemail I got from Cindy Since I cannot reply back to Cindy's comment.... Due to the lack of communication, I feel like my point is being completely misunderstood. Never once did I state or imply that I'm more important than anyone else. What I'm getting at is that I see you responding to other people I know who order from you in a timely manner, who order 2 weeks before their party than mine that's 3 MONTHS AWAY so I was simply trying to get an answer. I never threatened you or demanded anything. I said I needed to know whether you would be able to do the cake or not so that, if you couldn't, I could find someone else to do it. As for messaging you on your personal phone, that has never been an issue in the past three years that I've been ordering cakes from you, so I don't understand why it's suddenly being made into one now. I was simply looking for communication and a clear answer, not trying to cause an issue or make myself seem more important than anyone else

Her sweet demeanor and her love and patience with our mother who has cancer is wonderful. We are used to European pastries and cakes and love that there is something extremely authentic in this area. Her Kürtőskalács (Baumstriezel - chimney cakes in English) are extremely authentic and are some of the best I've ever had outside of Hungary and Czechia. Any negative reviews of Little Bakery are based primarily on not understanding the value and time spent to make European pastries, and not enough understanding that authentic baked goods are not loaded with sugar. Come here if you want a taste of Eastern European style baked goods. They are among the top in the region, if not the country.

Donerds Donuts is a locally owned small business that's well worth a stop when you're visiting Jim Thorpe. I learned that the owners met in Chile, where they were inspired to start a donut and coffee food truck. They sold their handcrafted donuts from a vintage VW bus on the streets of Santiago before eventually bringing their passion to Pennsylvania. Today, they have two locations, and I had the pleasure of visiting the Jim Thorpe shop. The storefront is charming, welcoming, and has a few seats where you can relax and enjoy your treats with a fresh cup of coffee. Best of all, everything is made fresh on-site. Their display case is filled with an impressive selection of classic and specialty donuts, along with colorful macarons, French toast cinnamon rolls, flaky croissants, and a full lineup of coffee drinks ranging from lattes to iced coffees. Honestly...wow! Deciding what to order wasn't easy. Since it was already midday, I kept it simple and went with a Boston Cream donut. It was incredibly fresh, light, and filled with rich, creamy custard, then topped with a smooth layer of chocolate. Absolutely delicious! A special shout-out to Sarah, who made the visit even better. She was warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful, taking the time to explain the different donuts and macarons. Everything she described sounded amazing, and she definitely had my mouth watering. I had to show some self-control or I would've walked out with half the display case! She was fantastic. If you're spending the day in Jim Thorpe, do yourself a favor and make a stop at Donerds Donuts. Grab a coffee, treat yourself to one (or a few) fresh donuts, say hello to Sarah, and support a wonderful local business. I know I'll be back the next time I'm in town.

Our waitress was very good with suggestions, explaining the dishes, and providing all around good service. Being the first day open after Labor Day, the restaurant was not crowded and was not overly noisy which we greatly appreciated. Dinner starts with amuse bouche which was salmon rillettes. This was a favorite of mine and the chef's version were really good. Next was bread served with butter and an oil and garlic mixture. The bread was delicious. I'd like to note here that vegan options are available for amuse bouche and bread but I did not order them because I am not vegan. However, this did not matter as the chef sent them out for us to try. I found them on par with the non-vegan versions. I had the roasted tri-colored carrots appetizer and my wife went with the sautéed trumpet mushrooms. We both thought they were good. I tasted the mushrooms and while I did find them good, I preferred the carrots. For our mains, my wife went with the duck breast and I chose the Red Cat Farm ancient grains and lentil stuffed pepper. Obviously the duck breast was not off the vegan menu; my wife found the inclusion of duck on the regular menu too much to resist. The stuffed pepper was beyond delicious! I had never eaten anything like what the chef created and the various flavors meshed perfectly. My wife liked the duck and I tried a bite and I definitely preferred the pepper. On a side note, the duck seemed to be done more than the suggested medium rare. The pepper should probably move to the regular menu for the late summer months - it's that good! We did not try the vegan desserts. Instead, my wife went with ice cream and I went with the warm funnel cake sundae because it had strawberry ice cream in it. The meal was quite good. I give it a 4.5 out of 5 (rounded up to 5 for this review).
