Been at Pam now for several weeks recovering after a month long ordeal at Renown. This is a smaller scale hospital on the St. Mary's campus. I've worked with pt and pulmonology to wean off my ventilator and had my trach tube removed completely. Nurses have been awesome and the rounding doctors and specialists are very nice and take the time to listen to your concerns. Only criticisms is that it can take the nurses a long time to respond to your call light-- I had to wait a half hour to get someone on more than one location. They also put me in a room at the end of the hall which made me feel alone and isolated. I managed to get a different room after a week that is right next to the nurses station, which I'm grateful for. Case manager Becky is an amazing person. She is kind and works with you constantly to ensure you leave Pam to go back home. No one ever wants to be sick, but this is a good place to be when you are as you'll be treated with respect, kindness and people that care for your well-being. Recommended! read more
