I went with my husband to see the headlining band, Glass Spells, as we have enjoyed their shows in the past. Little did we know that there was so much more to see. We arrived just about an hour before the band was due to begin, so had some time to look around and explore the festival. We had a chance to check out some of the vendors. Many had traditional Mexican clothing and pottery, but there were also a lot of other crafts for sale. We also caught another band that was really fun. There were three different stages with various bands throughout the day. There were some great art pieces and lots of photo ops, as well as some traditional altars. Bario Logan is a special place with lots of brightly colored murals and plenty of restaurants and shops. It's the perfect backdrop for an art and music festival. There were lots of food vendors with the most common items being elotes (Mexican street corn) and churros. My favorite surprise was the parade that I didn't even expect. It was amazing with phenomenal intricate costumes, music and choreographed dance. I've never seen anything quite like it. It reminded me of the videos I have seen of the parade in Mexico City. That, in itself, was a reason to go to the festival. Finally, Glass Spells, which was my reason for going, was amazing as always. I look forward to returning to this festival next year!

The woman at check‑in was very nice and gave us a map plus a quick rundown of the layout so we knew exactly where to go. I'm obsessed with pigs, so I was very excited to meet their adorable pot‑belly pig at the front named Toffee. Tickets were on the pricier side, but honestly worth it -- the money supports an organization that gives animals of all kinds a safe, loving place to live. They also sell produce grown on the farm, along with drinks and snacks you can enjoy while walking around the grounds. They offer upgraded experiences for an additional cost if you want something more hands‑on. We went on a bright, sunny day, and it was HOT -- definitely recommend sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen, and comfy walking shoes. I was in heaven here. They have goats, camels, pigs, horses, a zebra, and more. You can easily spend the whole day here -- come early to beat the heat and the crowds. It's truly an animal lovers' paradise and a great place to learn about animals, be outside, and have some fun, all while supporting an amazing nonprofit doing meaningful work. A wholesome, memorable outing and a great day trip for families, friends, or anyone wanting to try something new.

The workers and volunteers are amazing and will answer any of your questions. There are there no matter the weather so come on an interesting weather day to see the animals in the habitat! When we went it was a nice sunny day out and some of the animals were just resting in the shade.
