We've been working with Paloma & Julie for 3 years now and it def takes dedication & the urgent need for wrangle your kids when needed, but been a wonderful experience. My boys are 3 and 1 and we've gotten some great gigs, plus some family gigs which are always a good family team building experience. I'd say for those who get denied, it's probably hard not to take it personally because it is YOUR beautiful baby but do your best not to take it personally, as others have mentioned, try again later, or maybe another agency will have an opening or need a look your child has. Maybe they have too many of a certain look and need to diversify their roster, I don't know, but I trust there is a good reason. And to clear the air, they are 100% NOT racist. Hello, Thought I'd leave a review and share our experience as first time "parent of a child in the modeling industry " I was recommended by a friend and my friend was very honest, IF YOUR CHILD HAS IT YOU'LL GET A RESPONSE EMAIL. To my surprise, PMT reached out and here we are. I for one did my research on the agency because I'm Mexican and noticed other agencies only showcase Caucasian or African American. Which is fine, but I for one like and believe in diversity. My son has done print work and a commercial, and I've met some awesome parents who are very much mixed ethnicities. I now recommend to my friends who've recently have given birth, I wish I'd had submitted sooner when he was a newborn. But, well stick with PMT as long as my son is comfortable and he gets casted again, not every role or spot can and will be his. What's meant for him will be his. We signed up our daughter with PMT when she was 2 years old & although we tried to submit her to another agency, Paloma was the first one to respond and was actually recommended by a friend of ours whose child was signed with the other agency we were considering. My daughter is half Filipino & hispanic and her very first booking, she had already made it to the store window displays all over America. She has filmed her first commercial with Disney by the time she turned 3 and has been busy with bookings & auditions ever since. I understand that sometimes it gets frustrating for parents especially single mothers but it really all depends on your availability, flexibility and definitely what certain brands look for (certain look, hair, size, height, personality). It also matters that your child is comfortable around strangers taking their pictures and a lot of times, there will be atleast more than 5 different faces they see on set each time. There was a time when my daughter was not able to finish her photoshoot because she wasn't feeling well and Paloma was kind & very understanding about it. There will always be hiccups but the results are very rewarding. My daughter has certainly gotten more comfortable in different environments and has grown so much confidence since her first shoot. She has made plenty of friends also signed with PMT. Paloma has amazing connections with brands and is very quick & precise when it comes to communication, which I do prefer. I get that some parents who are new to this would need more details and explanations on how things work but honestly, it's really not that complicated. The industry is not for everyone! Any negative reviews left by mothers whose children were not signed onto the agency are irrelevant as they don't have any genuine experience with this agency. It is also incredibly unprofessional in an industry that is all about making connections and making good impressions. Try not to burn any bridges you haven't even crossed yet..... No, you will not receive feedback if your child is not taken on by them. They get hundreds of submissions a day. They ask for a video submission to see personality and that is something they can evaluate very quickly. Casting directors do the same with slates so please get used to it. We have been with Paloma Model and Talent for 8 years! We were turned down the first time we submitted to PMT too! Our son ended up working with another smaller agency and worked hard on developing his skills for an entire year before we re-submitted to PMT and were eventually signed on. There is no shame in being tuned down. It's a HUGE part of being in this business. My son has now booked tons of jobs with the representation of PMT. When he was younger it was mostly print and commercial but he has since booked many acting roles as well. He's grown as an entertainer and we've learned to navigate this difficult business with the help and guidance of PMT. They are organized, professional and work hard to keep their roster top notch with some of the most talented kids in the industry. They are always on top of keeping things up to date and at first this can be very daunting but it is again part of the business. You have to be willing to put in the work as a parent! (If not, this isn't for you) Once I learned how to keep in constant communication with them, everything became so easy. My son has had sudden injuries, even fractures that we've had to work around and they have always been understanding! He is also involved in multiple sports and other activities that they have always been willing to work around. You want your kid to be part of this agency? Do the work! Put them in acting classes and have them develop their skills and then re-apply. It's a tough time to try and get into an agency. Had to lower to star ratings and here is why: I removed my daughter summer 2019 because I was tired walking on eggshells with some staff members: I shouldn't be feeling like I cannot ask questions because it bothers them. Also I discovered that they took commission on my kid's overtime which they shouldn't have and when another prod cancelled my kid last minute because they changed the date and we couldn't be there, I had to demand for them to get us paid and it kinda put them over the edge. We have been with Paloma Model and Talent for about 6 1/2 years. My kids have had some really amazing opportunities. Just check out their Facebook or Instagram sites and you can see some of the bookings that the kids with PMT have gotten. This business can be tough...but PMT really works hard for and watches out for their talent. The most important thing is the opportunities that my kids get through this agency, but there are other smaller things that I appreciate as well. For example, the texts that I receive when one of my kids has gotten an audition are really helpful. This may seem like a little thing, but not all agencies do this, and it is much easier, at least for me, to miss an email notification. You can ask these people a very simple question and they reply with very snobby snappy and rude responses. My daughter absolutely hated these people. They offer no guidance, no development for your child. It's all about money so put in whoever and whatever for any job. It's about quantity not quality. If you ask them a question they tell you to go look it up. They get mad if you turn down a job that will negatively impact your child's future like reality shows or parts picking their nose. I had a truly terrible experience with PMT earlier this year - it was so traumatic that I'm just now putting my thoughts together. When I applied for representation for my beautiful 6-month-old (at the time) son, Paloma immediately signed him and added him to her roster. In June, she texted me about submitting him to Disney. Unfortunately, I was leaving on a family trip to Greece two days later, so I had to decline submitting him for jobs until we got back. Paloma became furious and sent me a barrage of hostile texts; minutes later, I received an email that she'd DELETED my son from her roster! WTF? When I returned from vacation I sent Paloma several emails, pleading and groveling to put him back on the roster. She curtly said no at first, but after begging (yes, I begged!), she agreed to take him back if I arranged and paid for headshots. WHAT? Children under age 4 do not need headshots since they grow so quickly; that's common knowledge in child entertainment. No other agency in L.A. requires headshots for babies. But Paloma sent me a list of "approved" photographers--most of whom are parents of kids on her roster--AND instructed me to buy at least 4 outfits in various solid colors for the photo shoot. All told, this would cost me $1000+ before she'd even booked my son a single job. I realized that in addition to being a giant b*tch, Paloma is probably also a scammer. I declined and have had no further contact with her agency since. I should point out that her assistant Geri is very nice and always provided helpful information when I asked! But everything goes through Paloma, who is so nasty and hot-headed that I caution parents to avoid her at all costs. read more

One of my daughters has been with Paloma for over a year now. I've waited to give a review because I wanted it to be honest. With that said, I have not had a bad experience yet and my daughter enjoys the experience. She's 4 years old and she has had no prior representation and we're not even sure where this adventure will end up but we are both learning and having fun as we go. I can't speak on the negative reviews on here but I can say that my daughter is not blonde with blue eyes and she is still being represented. The few times I've interacted with Paloma she hasn't been rude. She's just to the point IMHO probably because she's very busy. Everyone at Paloma has actually been nice and helpful. I agree with some other reviews in the fact that I think most of the people leaving negative reviews are probably just sensitive that their children weren't accepted for whatever reason or dropped because they weren't available. My advice to them is to try other agencies. Not all A list stars were chosen for certain movie roles and instead of being sensitive and nasty they kept going forward and booked other roles. Sent them blank background iphone photos of my 9 month old who is beautiful and very much baby model material..I was emailed about 3 days later asking for "outside close up photos of her sitting"..I literally rushed to the nearest park (before work, that's how dedicated I was) with my mom in tow helping me..we sat my daughter on the grass (on a green blanket that blended in) and took the most gorgeous close up photos showing her both laughing and non laughing. Full body and plenty of face action. Paloma stated she wanted the photos "today" so I literally rushed to do it before work (in 90 degree morning heat) and the photos came out gorgeous. I sent the ones I liked over promptly. ONLY to get emailed a couple hours later with a generic automated denial email. Umm?? If you're not interested don't ask parents to go out of their way to send you more content, and in a hurry at that. You were better off denying me off bat, then I probably wouldn't even be writing this review. As an agency you know off bat if you want to represent someone or not, so don't get parents' hopes up by emailing asking for more content, only to deny them a few hours later without reason added. (I see this is popular with them after reading other reviews) I read the other reviews and I'm cool off sending again. By the way, my daughter is half black half white and is fair with a tan. The other reviews claim they only want you if you're fully wh!te and my daughter is mixed..just my opinion, may have something to do with it, who knows. Before coming to read these reviews I emailed back politely asking for feedback (which I didn't expect to get and DID NOT) but after getting insight here, we definitely don't want their approval. I should have followed my gut and paid attention to the numerous poor reviews. I submitted photos of my 3 year old daughter, got a quick response back from Paloma stating she wanted a knock knock joke. I told her that my daughter did not know how to do a knock knock joke, she was 3. I finally coached her to do one. I got a second email from Paloma asking for the video, sent it and got a response stating the spot was filled. Why was I asked for a video if the spot was filled? I feel like it was honestly just to get the response I got from her saying that it took me 2.5 months to give her what she asked for. If I was someone that was not responsive enough or quick enough to send in the video, why did she even ask me for the video. Why not just fill the spot with someone else, like she did! read more

I only wish there was a lower rating than a one star. I submitted a picture of my daughter with trepidation. She wanted to try modeling out, so I obliged. I got an email back from Paloma saying how much she loved her and needed to sign her immediately! I had questions. Which is reasonable for a mother. Paloma glossed over them and sidestepped every concern of mine. She threw me into a website that was confusing and wordy. I just wanted to have a freaking conversation with someone! Any question I ever had was met with a "refer to the website." We met with Alyssa, whom was 10 mins late for the meeting. She ushered us into a room and started typing on her laptop, which died 3 mins later. Finally we went to their "office" which was a closet sized mess. Alyssa was the best part of our experience there...and that's not saying much. The level of unprofessionalism was through the roof! Now, I'm a professional photographer. And also a hairdresser. I've worked In the industry some and with some celebrities and NONE of them were as entitled and snobby as Paloma. Trying to communicate with each persons with their assigned email was the most confusing, disorganized mess I've ever dealt with. Every interaction I had with an employee of theirs was rude and dismissive. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. Figuring out the headshots and the way they wanted them was a nightmare and I've had some bridezillas. The biggest problem I had were my interactions with the Diva that is Paloma. I've never had someone talk so condescendingly to me. If I asked her a question she would reply with "why do you question me?" She wants total obedience in her Nazi regime. I wrote her a heartfelt email once that was responded to with "That email was too long. I'll get to it in a couple of weeks." I realized that she really doesn't know the answers. She just wants to appear as the be all end all. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THEM. And if you do, prepare to just get in line and only do as you're told. My twins have been with PMT now for almost 3 months and we are very satisfied. We were actually accepted into 4 different major agencies. We chose PMT because of how sweet and efficient Melinda is. Within 3 weeks we were booked for 3 different jobs! I'm not sure why PMT has bad reviews. It's no joke when they tell you, you have to have thick skin to be in the industry. The reviews almost affected my judgment with PMT; I'm glad it didn't. If you don't know much about the industry, I suggest you do your homework. I've only been in the industry for 3 months but to refute some of the reviews, this is what I have learned about PMT so far. - Shivani wrote there are "free agencies out there." I'm not sure what this means? PMT has not once asked me to pay for anything. If your child books a job and works they take a cut. This is industry wide and what they charge is standard. The agents work HARD to book you for jobs. Who would waste their time representing you for free? That's unheard of. - Paloma gets hundreds of submissions every day. It's unfortunate if your child gets denied, but that's the talent world for you. If you can't handle getting denied for your submission, how are you going to handle being denied when you audition? - Someone wrote that PMT is racist against Asian children. My twins are half Asian/Caucasian and PMT currently represents them. - Kimberly wrote that everyone on the PMT FB page sucks up to Paloma and the agents, but honestly, I just think everyone is super nice. You can tell a lot of the moms get along and actually cheer each other on. I don't see anything wrong with that. - If you don't have the time to go to an audition, don't bother looking for an agent. You will find out the night before if you have to drive up to LA with your child. If you're not ready for that, you are not meant for the industry. It is tough, but so much fun! It's simple, don't waste your agents time. - You will have your busy times and you will have your slow times. It just depends on who's in town and what type of child they are wanting to cast. The truth is that in this business you can't waste your time being overly sensitive about someone's bedside manner. Once your child starts working they will encounter a multitude of personalities and not all of them will be pleasant. Parents are often the biggest hurdles to their children's success. Wining about someone being "mean" or "rude" doesn't help move a child's career forward. All that to say, that the only concern a potential client should have when it comes to Paloma Model & Talent is how well they can advance your child's career. In their case, plenty. Paloma is a workhorse, we were with her for 18 months and my son worked constantly, including 3 national sag commercials. I didn't care what her mood was, or how she spoke to me, i cared that she was always incredibly comforting and respectful TO MY CHILD, HER CLIENT. Let me note for the record that many of the complaints regarding her "attitude" are "user end" mistakes, if you dont read the submission guidelines or give her photos that don't showcase your child well, what should she do about that? Want a bottom line? Paloma Model & Talent will work hard to get their clients in front of casting directors and seen. No agency can make a child talented, that's for sure, but if you want an agency that is going to hustle for your kid...this is your agency. read more

Agency's are suppose to help you get auditions not spend money on photos. your only called in to 1 or 2 auditions a year extremely rude for an agency that works with children. I am an actor and my 2 sons are with PMT. They get my sons in the door all the time. The negative reviews here are from people who don't understand how agencies work here in LA. If you want your hand held and long conversations, get a manager. Agents have a lot of actors on the books so conversations have to be brief. All agencies have streamlined rules...you must follow them. This is a great agency for kids and it is respected amongst casting agents. UPDATE Jun 2014 I have to address the negative review from the guy whose sons were with PMT for 6 years but then writes a 1 star review. Make your own mind up but for someone who wasn't happy 6 years is a long time to stay somewhere....like saying you hate BK but ate there for 6 years but always preferred McDonalds. My son has been with Paloma since the Jet Set days. Its disappointing to read several of the negative reviews about her demeanor and the parents that are giving this agency a negative review because of their lack of understanding about this industry. You will not get a week or a month's notice to go to an audition because the industry doesn't work that way. It's expected that you will get a notification the day or even the night before. I work full time and live in San Diego, yes there are long days to drive to LA for a 5 minute audition but if you can't swing it don't blame that on PMT. The best part about this agency is the family that has been created amongst the members. We are supportive of all of our children's success and I have formed strong friendships as well. We are all eager to supply one another with questions anyone has with this business from what to wear on auditions and how to file tax returns! Bottom line like most others' have said you can't expect to have your hand held in this industry. Paloma and Alysa (along with all staff) literally work day and night to run this business. If our children aren't successful, they aren't successful, so they fight for our kids nonstop. I couldn't ask for better agents! read more

This agency is awesome! My daughter has been on a whirlwind of auditions and callbacks in just over a month since she signed up with PMT. The quality of the jobs they send their talent on is fantastic. The agents and their staff are very professional and responsive - answering emails at all hours of the day and night. They are very clear and upfront about their expectations - they will work hard for you, but you need to do your part. At the end of the day, your agent only makes 10-20%, so that means you need to be doing the other 80-90%. If you aren't ready to do that - meaning showing up to all auditions, keeping your photos and profile up to date and investing in your kid's career then you may want to rethink whether or not this business is a fit for you. read more
