I had never done a Thai Yoga massage before. However because of chronic pain in shoulder and piriformis muscle, I was looking for some relief. I booked an appointment with Emily Irvine and I'm so glad I did. I'm fascinated by the techniques she used, which included her working on my sore spots, but also made it engaging where she asked me to breathe in and out as she released the tension in my muscles. Wow, Emily is the real deal! She is a natural - and so in tune with what you are feeling and experiencing both physically and emotionally. She found all my 'tight' places and where my fave spots were as well. She is definitely a healer! I haven't felt that relaxed in a massage ever, and I have had thai massages in thailand! Her home space is beautiful, smells great and has relaxing music, soft blankets and a comfy mat and pillows. She takes a quick personal inventory when she begins and then gets to work. Incredible hourlong massage from Emily! She really helped loosen up some extreme tightness in my shoulders. Emily is very intuitive and tailored the massage to my specific areas of concern.
