So far, this car wash is entirely self service. If you have never done this before, proceed with caution. Although, the machines do give you very good instructions. I'm going back this weekend for a car wash, just vacuumed last week. Oh, when you put in the coins, go really really slow, otherwise the machine will just eat your coins. The car wash may not be the best, but most touchless washes leave your car a little spotty. In the case of the Palms, when the machine broke down after I'd already paid for my wash, I called the number on the sign and the owner met me the next morning at my convenience and gave me my car wash. Stuff happens. Machines break down. We all do our best. The upstanding businesses follow through and this one did. I'll continue to frequent this car wash for that reason. read more

Used the manual wash. Couldn't get the credit card payment method to go through. Only had 5 minutes worth of coins so only got a rinse. Bring coins or cash with you to this place. They don't have any attendants (joke) and their phone number listed is not even in use (more jokes). Overall the place is dirty and unprofessional, but with coins and cash you should be able to get the job done (manually, never tried the auto wash here). read more

I'm looking at the reviews and I'm not sure why they're so low. Every time I come here I'm always assisted with the machines. They even tell me how to turn my wheel to get into the car wash the best way (I'm not an extremely experienced driver). I mostly come here instead of the other car washes on middlesex st. because this one has the under carriage spray and that's exactly what I need when the winter brings the car-eating salt. But most importantly I come here because I don't have to deal with all of the annoying hoodlums who have made the other car washes down the street a hangout spot. I used to date an idiot who hung out at those places. There are shootouts, drugs, and fights going on and all I want is my car cleaned! The owner of The Palms does NOT put up with this. I have seen many of these solicitors being asked to leave and that makes me feel like this is the safest car wash in Lowell. I finally got to meet the owner over the weekend. And he's very nice. Not worth your money. I Did the touchless car wash here and paid for the $10 package. The sides of my car are still dirty. The windows don't even look like they were washed. Can't tell if the under carriage was thoroughly cleaned.. Definitely didn't hear any cleaning under neath my car so I really don't believe it did any washing there. Best of all the air dry didn't even function properly. All the water was still left on my car once the dry cycle finished. So now I have a car left with dry spots from improper drying at this car wash. read more

Usually the man who works here is very helpful and nice. However the construction worker he had tending the car wash today was a huge disappointment. The lights and sound on their car wash were broken so it never let up or made a noise to tell me when to stop and I drove past the machine and it shut off without washing anything! The man fought me tooth and nail and refused to put through another wash because according to him the owner would have made him pay for it even though he admitted the lights on machine were in fact broken. I ended up driving away after 5 minutes of arguing because the $12 just was not worth it. Never going back here and never telling anyone about it. Customers are always right but not here. Never coming back here again! I use the automatic washing machine "the work wash" which was $12 and it sucked. It didn't even wash off any dirt or cleaned my wheels. On top of that I went to get a towel damn machine took my coins $1.75 worth. This place will rob you. P.O.S business! Time to fix your damn machines. read more

I wished I had read the reviews on Yelp before coming here. Worst car wash ever! I came in for the touchless car wash and the system didn't have proper signals. My fiancé drove in, waiting for a stop signal to light up or a honk, but there were neither like the sign outside indicating it would. We also didn't get a receipt either because the system didn't provide us with one. I would never come here again. It's just plain bad. The car is now visibly dirtier than it was before the wash from the dirt and water mixture now dried on the car. read more

This car wash is One of the worst in the Lowell area. The attendance are extremely rude with no costumer service skills at all.

I had the best experience at this car wash and won't be going anywhere else now. Ed introduced himself to me, and was kind enough to pre-clean my car prior to me going into the car wash(it was extremely dirty), without me even asking for any help. He then helped me rinse and dry my car and let me keep the towel. This man really cares about his customers and it shows. Bravo! read more

Ugh Just paid $10 for a car wash with no soap. Of course, there is no one here to help. All it did was make my car wet. Waste of my money.

I went to get my car wash today and as I was drying my car, I witnessed a kid come back and claim that they washed his car with only water, and wanted a refund. The owner (?) got out of his corvette and then grabbed a big wad of cash from his trunk. He then got in the kid's face after the kid claimed he was scammed and started screaming and swearing and would not let the kid leave. I would never allow my children to get their cars washed here and would hope everyone else does the same. read more

Worst place to wash your car, something scraped on my tire and the attendant comes out an I asked him what it was and he just said don't worry an guided me into automatic washer, well it seemed bad but I didn't mind because I thought it might just be the tire brushing on something . After the wash I get out an my tire basically was stabbed close to popping! I go ask the guy working there what it was an he said well do you Asians know how to drive. are you serious? So I go ask for the owners number an he points at the wall which has a number so I dial it. Told him the situation and he didn't seem to happy but said he would be there soon. When he shows up I told him what was going on and he said there's no way his machine did that. I told the attendant to tell him something scraped an he totally denied it! So we go back to the machine bring my car in there an try to figure our what was going on an how it happened. we start talking an he starts cursing an I was like relax. He then says get in your car an effing drive away or I'm going to call the cops. I'm like for what? He then starts throwing a fit an was screaming "get out of here" Like an immature brat. I jump in my car drove off thinking never going to that stupid place again. An hour goes by and he calls me trying to apologize an starts venting about how hard he works and he gets a lot of complaints and he just overly stressed. I work at a restaurant 7 days a week open to close with no breaks an I get customer in my ear all the time, you don't see me chasing them out when they have a complaint. So I tell him I accept his apology anyways, why? because I'm not trying to deal with a loose cannon like that. He says he would have my tire fixed or he would do something about it. It's been maybe 2 months. Still nothing. I now go to the lowell auto wash near target the retro looking place if I don't feel like washing my car myself an they do a great job! An they are super cool and friendly. Since that day I never go back to palms an never will, I suggest you don't either! read more

Half of the nozzles in the car wash do not work and your car will come out dirtier than when it went in. There are rags tying up some of the tubes that carry the water in the car wash and none of the lights work. According to the other reviews, the owner seems to have anger issues and doesn't seem like he is educated enough to run a car wash. I'd much rather go to St. Hilaire's up the street and not deal with faulty equipment. read more
