I would estimate that I have spend anywhere between $10,000 and $15,000 on Palmetto State Armory products over the years. However, the quality of customer service, and the desire to cater to customer satisfaction has taken a huge downturn over the last year. In the past I never had a complaint with this company, however my last two transactions have left me, not only dissatisfied, but also angry and convinced that acquiring money from customers has taken precedence over customer satisfaction. There are many reasons I say this and the example I present, which took place only a few hours ago, represents a great example of the problems Palmetto State is currently having, and why their business model is bound to fail do to loss of loyal customers. Yesterday I placed two separate orders with Palmetto State. Together the two orders totaled slightly more than a thousand dollars. Normally an email is sent directly after an order which includes the order number which is needed during any communications regarding that order. Since the order number is included in this email, and not having a writing utensil at hand, I did not bother to write the order numbers down, expecting an email about my orders withing a few hours, which is what has normally been the case in all past transactions. However, no email would ever arrive and I soon started wondering if the order had even gone through. Now Palmetto State has one primary phone number for all customer service needs. After calling the number, answering questions to the computerized que, and being forced to listen to loud annoying music for nearly 15 minutes, I was finally put through to an actual human being who instantly addressed me in a very rude manner, and informed me in a rude, as if I bothering him manner, that my problem was not a "shipping issue" . After several heavy sighs, he did finally look into my problem but not until first informing me that it would be much easier if I had an "Order Number" which of course I did not have because Palmetto State never bothered to send me an email. I informed the customer service representative that I simply wanted to know if my orders had gone through, and order numbers for the orders, and why I had not received an email from the company. I did not consider this an issues since my credit card was being charged for nearly $1000. However, it was clear from the way I was being rudely addressed, that the representative felt I was being bothersome. At this point he informed me that I probably had not received an email because the orders were still being processed and that he would send me order numbers ASAP. No email was sent. So I made my second call to customer service, went through the same process again, this time being put in contact with a different person who was somewhat less rude but just as helpless. Frustrated, at this point I simply asked that the two orders be cancelled . I was told that I could not cancel the orders because they had already been shipped. I knew this was not the case because less than 30 minutes earlier I had spoken to the shipping department and been told that the orders had not been shipped. Plus, if as the shipping department had informed me, I would receive an email when the order shipped and I had not. Still dissatisfied, I called a 3rd time, waded through the entire waiting process once again, and this time was connected to a nice lady who actually provided yet another excuse. She informed me that she would cancel the order and that my money would be refunded. Shortly thereafter, I received an email informing me that the order had been canceled. Finally some real progress!! However, NOT SO FAST. Exactly 2 minutes after receiving that email, my computer dinged, informing me that I had received another email from Palmetto State, this one informing me that my order could not be cancelled because it HAD SHIPPED! At this point, I was at my wits end. Having no idea if I would or would not receive an order, and knowing only two things for sure. 1. Nearly a thousand dollars was charged to my credit card. 2. Nobody in Palmetto State Customer Service, seemed to know what was going on with the order, or even seemed to give a damn. I once again suffering through the gauntlet of waiting and answering questions I was finally was placed in contact with a nice, semi-intelligent human that informed me that half the order could be cancelled, but the second half could not be because it had already, YES, YOU GUESSED IT, it had SHIPPED! Bottom line, after 5 phone calls, half the order is supposedly on its way, and half had been cancelled. I was told in no uncertain terms that I would get a emails confirming this information. I don't even remember at this point exactly what my original complaint was, but... the suggested fixes have nothing to do with the problem I'm facing right now. Sure, they're valid first-row fixes for a great many computer-illiterate potential customers, perhaps, but for this problem... no. Your long stream of Captcha or ReCaptcha tests (I just went through no less than fifteen consecutive Captcha tests logging in here) isn't a problem on my end, it's a problem on your end. There's nothing I can possibly do at my end to trigger such a security gauntlet. 1. I'm using Vivaldi, just like I always have at PSA and just like I always have everywhere else (and it doesn't trigger a stream of Captchas elsewhere). Vivaldi is built on the same Chromium core as Chrome and FireFox, and it's nearly as popular as FireFox. 2. My cookies and browsing data have nothing to do with your Captcha stream, but it should delight you to know that they're fresh now, so I have to go through the laborious process of logging back into everything that I never log out of and suffer the long stream of "Someone just logged into X from Y! Was it you?" emails. 3. I'm on one of my many desktop computers. I don't own a cellphone. 4. How would an incognito window help me step past fifteen Captcha tests? 5. I live in rural Vermont. Not restricted by any terms and conditions. 6. Clearly the point got missed. I'm trying to get logged into PSA without having to sit in a back room and answer a thousand repetitive questions by the NSA with a spotlight focused on my eyes and with the sounds of dripping water all around me. Naked, tied to a chair with sisal rope. If I can't get logged in, how will logging out and back in help my situation? You just need to back down the fantastically paranoid Captchas, that's all. I don't mind ONE every once in a while, but FIFTEEN CONSECUTIVE TESTS? Really? Is this one of those CloudFlare screwups? A whole lot of people will give up long before they finish the fifteen tests and will just go away and buy from Bud's Gun Shop or from Dixie Gun Works or from Ballistic Products or from any of your very many competitors. Me, I stuck around because I got pissed off and I'd really like you guys to fix your software so I can shop there without climbing the cliffs any more. So maybe Second Level will be in order? I had a great experience with the guys at PSA! I am a 55yo woman and NOT a "gun person" by any means (I am a professor!). I am terrified of firearms, but I am newly divorced, and my ex was comfortable with guns and had them so I thought I should get a gun after having them in the home for 20+ years. I was so anxious going into the store, I thought about getting a friend to go with me but I thought that was silly and just went in and was immediately greeted by a woman(!) at the front who introduced me to a very nice young man who was very patient and talked to me about all of my options. I thought I just needed a nice small gun but, in reality, the noise and the kick just scared the bejeezus out of me, and so he told me that a larger, lighter firearm would be easier for me. Who would have guessed!? So, I tried a 300 Blackout and it was actually much easier to use. He then showed me how it would work with a suppressor (that's a silencer for those of us who don't know anything!) and OMG, that was a life changer. It made the gun much more quiet and much easier to use. I felt much more comfortable after that. Then, I signed up for a session with Greg Flerx to show me how to use the gun and Greg and the guys got me all set up with a new scope and gun flashlight and other attachments that just made it easier for me to use and to handle. Like, the whole process was just fun and easy and I had a blast. I never felt uncomfortable to pushed into anything or like I was around a bunch of nuts building a bunker underground or anything. They were all very cool, very considerate, very respectful, very SAFETY FIRST, and very very helpful. If you are a woman who is not a gun nut by any means but you live alone or with an aging parent or small child and you are thinking you might want a firearm just to feel better at home, you really should go by the Fernadina store (they have a bunch of people working there and ALL of them are so nice) and just tell them your situation, they will listen to all of your concerns, they will not make you feel stupid for asking questions, they will make thoughtful recommendations, they will treat you with respect, and you will leave feeling good about your purchases and you will have an appointment with a fantastic instructor (ask for Greg Flerx) to teach you how to use your firearm safely and make some friends to boot! Trust me, trust me, trust me!! (I apologize about my crazy hair in the photo, it was a long day, but you get the idea, I was very proud since I never shot a gun before!) **CONSUMERS BEWARE** Do not, I repeat, do not deal with this business unless you want a major headache. Ordered online due to a deal they had running in February. Had it shipped to Mt. Pleasant location. Background check came back as delayed but open, but due to their company policy they would not let me get the guns. This went on for 2 months, so I called customer support and asked them to ship to an FFL that did not share the same store policy as them and followed the federal law allowing firearms to be released after your background check is in Open status. 4/21 - Customer support said my order would be shipped to a local FLL (no extra shipping fees) within 24/48 hours. Two weeks go by and I haven't heard from the FFL who was supposed to get the guns. I wait on hold for another hour with Customer support who then calls the Mount Pleasant store and has me on 3 way with Josiah, who informs her (I don't think he knew I was on the phone) that he could not locate the order. *This was 2 weeks after he was supposed to ship it to the local FFL. She says she will call me in 15 minutes when they have a resolution. I did not hear back from them that day. Call back the next day -- another hour wait on hold -- talk to the same girl who said that after two weeks they had finally shipped my order, but BACK TO THE WAREHOUSE -- and that they would take care of it and have the guns to my FFL asap. Fast forward another week (today) - I get an email from David Customer Support who informs me that he needs the information of where I want the order sent and what the reason for my transfer was (which I had explained multiple times and I had given them the FFLs address several times). He then informed me that he would be charging me $60+ for shipping to ship it back in town to the FFL, or he could refund me the money I originally spent, minus the shipping I already paid. I told him that I was already told by Customer support that they were going to ship my guns to the local FFL around the 21st of April with no extra charge and that if I had to, I would open a dispute with my CC company and the BBB. His response back was - "Your order has been cancelled, you will be refunded the amount of the order minus the shipping you already paid" So basically they charged me shipping for something I never received, and I never received it due to their ignorance. I have now had to file this claim with my CC company over $60 because they care so little about customer satisfaction and doing the right thing. The BBB complaint is coming after I finish this one. To whoever it may concern:      On Dec. 6,2025 i purchased a Dagger Micro complete 9mm pistol. This was supposed to be my Christmas Present.  Upon opening the box and attempting to rack the weapon i did not have enough strength in my hands to do it because of arthritis in both hands. My son and Grandson had no problem doing so. I thought that PSA offered and return policy if you were not satisfied with your purchase. I misunderstood the policy. Ok i called on January 5 and talked with Donald, i think this was his name since i received an email in reference to a phone call to customer service, on the phone and he informed me of the return policy. He also told me to call back st 12:00 pm and he would get the store manager on line in a three way call and perhaps an IN Store Credit could be arranged. This was fine with me. NO PROMISES HERE, just an attempt to help someone. The store manager was not in the store at that time. Around 1:20 or so PM i called back on the same number and got another rep by the name of SAM. He told me that PSA  did not offer any type of plan and that all sales are final period. There was no further offer to assist me in any way . I told him that i was very disappointed that PSA did not value their customers any more than that. He did not offer any other assistance. I have purchased 3  weapons from PSA, not a high end customer ,but yet still a customer. Word of Mouth goes a long way in todays world. The gun is still in the same box and bag that it came in and other than the fact that it was removed from the bag to rack it is all that has been done to it. Another weapon that i possibly could rack would have been fine with me, especially since the weapon is new. One disappointed customer i know does not mean that much to PSA. Let me start out by saying that Ms Crishawn of the Palmetto State Armory Customer ​Service department was fantastic! She was knowledgeable, understanding of my issue and able to provide the service I needed to expedite a replacement for the issue I encountered with the firearm. It is always an excellent experience when you get a live person on the phone instead of an automated response or email address to write to. I recently purchased a PSA 5.7 ROCK pistol. Today was the my first trip to the range with it. The gun is phenomenal! I did however experience a major flaw in the design. I know that PSA's engineers are going improve the 5.7 Rock and it will hopefully never be an issue again. The issue I have is that I dropped the slide while demonstrating the Glock like ease of take down and unfortunately one of the lips on the slide that attaches it to the receiver rails bent inward rendering the firearm completely useless. While trying to bend it back into place, the slide cracked right on the 90 degree crease. I was able to put the slide back on to the receiver and cycle it but I knew my day at the range was over. That being said, the 5.7 Rock​ ​pistol is a phenomenal firearm that impressed everyone I let fire it. My training division was so impressed that they want me to talk to someone at PSA in reference to purchasing 60-70 units. I agreed with my training division except for one thing. PSA must improve on the strength of the metal used to make the slides. I know PSA will do everything in their power to ma​ke this happen. I hope it is soon because we would like to present the pistol to our agency for consideration of deployment to a very important part of our agencys assignments. Please improve this great gun Palmetto State Armory. We all love it and cannot wait for the improvement so we can lobby it to our agency. I have already paid for upper and a lower. the upper i have already received. However, on that it was split up into two separate orders. No tracking number provided, and when you look up your order on their website it will not let you view the invoice or order status. My lower had shipped an they had on their website an approved FFL in my area i selected. Well this FFL screwed me. A while back he stated on facebook he would not do anymore online transfers. i contacted him because i have done a lot of business with him and would like to continue to do so, if i was still able to send him my online orders, i was told yes wouldnt be an issue. When the lower got there he rejected it. PSA sent me an email saying "Compliance Order # Please select another FFL from the menu on our website, or, if you have another FFL in mind that is not on our list, have them email or fax us a signed and up to date copy of their licensce Do not hesitate to contact us by phone if you have any questions or concerns. We appreciate your business! Please note that the drop down menu on our website is provided simply for reference. It is not representative of our database nor is it representative of FFLs that are active and process firearm transfers. I emailed them back same day not but moments after receiving the email, no response, i filled out information on their website, no response. I did this Monday, tuesday and today. No response. Update. I was messaged after leaving the original review and they refunded my order dor the missing item and rounded up as well as gave me a coupon code for the inconvenience. Im very satisfied with the customer service and the resoloution, but the best thing was the speed at which they responded and solved the issue. Color me impressed. I remain a psa customer and will continue to recommend I have purchased from PSA several times and i really appreciate their attempt to increase civillian armament by providing so many entry level options for firearms and ammo. I recently ordered 2 ammo cans with 250 rds of 556 in each one, but they only shipped one of them. When i called the representative was professional and direct but not rushed which i appreciated. His name was Joe and im sure he followed their policies. I have no complaints about Joe, but the policy and process was a little disapointing. The package was delivered on the weekend to my job and by tge time i got them on the phone monday morning i had disposed of the brown box and just saved the single ammo can i got and the packing slip that was in the box. Before they could take any action they asked me to email pictures of the single can and the packing slip. Seems like a pointless delay to me since it doesnt really prove anything. Now they are saying for ammo purchases they only do refunds, which is really disappointing because i needed the ammo and it was on sale, so now i cant replace it for the same price.
