Have to say next time I went I was disappointed. Coffee was weak and bitter and lukewarm. Can't say that the 'barista' knew what he was doing. Too bad. I liked it the first time. It showed promise. But was turned off this time. But the good thing is there are alternatives now like Pura Vida in Sarasota and Foxtail in Osprey. read more

I found this place by chance a couple years ago, and it's turned into the coffee shop I always take any out-of-town visitors to. The service is always friendly, the atmosphere is so cute and charming, and the coffee is some of the best I've had in Sarasota. I've lived here for 14 years, and I do believe this is my favorite coffee shop here! read more

Palma Coffee is such a cool little spot with a retro, fun vibe! The two guys behind the counter today were absolutely friendly, welcoming, and the guy helping me took the time to chat with me, which made the experience even better. The barista who helped me spent time talking with me about matcha (my love language!) and you could tell he really cared about making it right. That kind of attention and passion is rare and so appreciated. I sat outside and loved the the wall mural. It''s the perfect spot to just relax and sip. The shop itself was super clean, and I'm one of those people who always checks the bathroom... happy to report it was spotless. All around, a fantastic coffee experience. Highly recommend! read more

Palma is a top tier coffee shop that offers high quality coffee brewed by legit baristas. The location is pretty nice for a strip center as it's tucked away with some nice outdoor seating. The interior of the shop is warm and cozy. The real reason to visit Palma is to sample high end coffee that is brewed the right way. They will coax flavors out of the beans that you won't find at 99% of coffee shops out there. Highly recommended. read more

I loved trying this place! I really struggled to find a well-crafted latte in Sarasota, this place gave me everything I wanted and more! The staff were very sweet, the store had a very calm vibe, and the location is super cute! You do not feel like you're sipping a latte next to a main road. I got the maple latte and it was perfect! Perfect temperature, perfect amount of sweetness, and the milk texture was perfect. My only complaint is that the iced chai was a bit lackluster in flavor. If you want a great latte, this place is a must try! read more

I wish Palma had been in town when I lived in Sarasota. It's such a cute spot in an otherwise unassuming strip mall. They know their craft and have a thoughtful collection of roasts; I enjoyed my pour over a lot. I like that it's indoor/outdoor, though I wish the indoor part was a tad less chilly and the lights a bit warmer. The staff were very kind and I liked meeting them and learning from them. I also like that this place is "coffee snob"-ish but also really accessible in its style. It's great for all. read more

This was my visit to Palma Coffee. The shop is very small and tucked away in a shopping center, making it difficult to find. When I walked in the women at the register was friendly and welcoming when I mentioned it was my first time, showed me the menu and answered questions. They were reasonably priced compared to larger coffee chains. The coffee itself was well made, though a little more bitter than I personally prefer. My biggest disappointment was the overall customer service. while the person at the register was warm and friendly, the man preparing the drinks never acknowledged me even though I was the only customer standing there waiting. As a first-time customer, I felt largely ignored, and quite frankly thought it was rude that he could not say hello. What made the contrast more noticeable was that when as I was leaving, he immediately greeted another customer by name. The space is cozy and appears to have a loyal group of regulars and I would have loved to find that place to be a regular. I would have happily returned if either the coffee had really wowed me or the experience had made me feel welcomed. I went out of my way to come here, and I never got the sense that the barista cared whether I came back. So neither happened. The prices were fair and the latte art was beautiful, but the lack of hospitality left a stronger impression that the coffee itself. read more

Adorable cozy little coffee shop! I had some trouble finding it based off where it is in the shopping center. It is a little tucked back. Super cute relaxed coffee shop. Service is great self serve. Had the Americano and shot Masala Chai Latte and an almond croissant ! Pure joy and deliciousness. They even sell some vinyl records. Super cool vibe read more

Cute vibes inside and out. Dog friendly. Matcha was good but expensive. Would try their coffee next time.

Awful!! First of all, impossible to find. But once I did, had no coffee brewed to put in my mug. Charged me $3.40 for coffee and what they brewed (after about 10minutes) didn't even fill half of my mug and was utterly disgusting!! I have had coffee from gas stations that was better. Trying to support a local business but should have went to a BP instead. Gross read more

Delicious coffee. Check hours of operation though. Small intimate space tucked into the strip mall.

Amazing service, my latte was a little milky though! This is a good coffee shop in Sarasota Florida!

This is by far the best coffee in Sarasota. Super friendly and nice seating area. These people know how to make a latte :)

The best coffee shop in Sarasota. I love everything about this place. My pourover was perfection, from the beans to the brew. The staff was super friendly and inviting, they've got great food options, great music, and a great vibe all around. read more

I've been to Palma several times over the last couple years and continue to recommend! Their cortado is my favorite and I've purchased their coffee beans for home. Without a doubt, the best coffee I have found in Sarasota! Great pastries as well. Both indoor and outdoor space to visit with friends or work on your computer. Coffee is unreal! They source all of their beans from small farmers in others countries. They actually travel to these countries and select the beans themselves! I really feel like I've never been more caffeinated. The facility itself is so cute. They did a really good job with the inside. Perfect place to set up and do some work for the morning! The owners also run the place and are such wonderful people. They basically have a relationship with everyone who walks in there at this point. I completely recommend. read more

What a find! They serve excellent coffee, none of that terrible acidic-bland coffee, but robust and rich. The owners are very hands-on and kind to their customers. Everyone was handed their coffees and not just called to grab it from the counter. The decor is sunny and bright. Overall it felt like a warm and welcome community they have created. read more

I've visited Sarasota for vacation a few times. I found this coffee shop randomly one morning and it BLEW ME AWAY. DON'T MISS OUT ON PALMA COFFEE!! What a fantastic hidden gem! It is tucked in down a corridor, with a cute outdoor patio area. The interior is simple, clean, classy and a little retro. The owners are friendly, helpful and so obviously passionate about coffee, how they are sourcing their coffee & their little shop. We enjoyed a flat white, cortado, cinnamon roll & almond croissant & all were delicious. It is helpful that their menu has descriptions of different coffee drinks in the form of espresso to milk ratio. We wish we found Palma coffee earlier on our trip so we could have enjoyed it more. We will be back next time we're in Sarasota!! *Amanda made the beautiful mug that my flat white was served in--my drink was literally handcrafted from start to finish, HOW COOL!!! read more

Wow! This coffee was excellent. The staff was SUPER friendly and felt very welcoming upon entering the store. My mom tried their new take on a spice latte, and was over the moon about the pumpkin latte art (it's the little things). She also loved the nuts and thought it was delicious. I got the mocha, but I usually don't like them and was feeling adventurous. I was pleasantly surprised, as it was delicious with oatmilk. It had a dark chocolate rich undertone without being too sweet. Highly recommend this cafe! read more

Super cute and quiet coffee shop. The service was great. The guy taking our order was very helpful with the menu. He even brought us our coffee even though we got it to go. The coffee was so good! They had different flavors you could add to your drink, but not so strong that you couldn't taste the coffee. Definitely great having it taste like coffee with some added flavor unlike most places being the sweetener that's the only thing you can taste. Loved it! read more

The real deal! The owners take their craft seriously - hand selecting beans where they are grown and then roast locally. My (too picky) husband visits daily! Nice indoor and outdoor seating. Also offers a nice selection of wines by the glass. read more

One of the best coffee places I've ever been to. Staff is super nice and all seem like knowledgeable coffee nerds. The pastries were legit too. We got everything to go, but it looked like it would be a super cute place to sit and enjoy, tucked away in the back of a strip mall. They had a couple tables outside. It is an oasis of excellence in a sea of mediocre food and drink in that area. I want to pay to relocate them to my neighborhood. read more

A wonderfully eclectic and stylish coffee shop. Coffee choice you don't get elsewhere. A high end experience. Great place.

Amazing new coffeeshop! The owners, Manuel and Amanda are so sweet. They truly care about their customers and the coffee they source. They travel around the world and visit coffee farms. We need more places (more people like Amanda & Manuel) in this world! The tucked away location is such a plus, you don't feel like you're in the hustle and bustle of a busy downtown, when you step into this coffee shop you are transported to an island far away. They care about their coffee and where it comes from. My boyfriend said this was the best cappuccino he's ever had, and that says a lot granted he spent most of his life in Eastern Europe where coffee is life lol. Will 100% be going back for more coffee, an afternoon glass of wine, and an amazing study spot. read more

Not your average cup-a-joe!! We stumbled onto this place while looking for our morning coffee on a quick weekend trip to the beach. Wow!! What a find! The owners are a lovely young couple with an incredible knowledge and passion for coffee, where it's sourced and a dream to bring a delicious experience to their customers. I had both the Pink Bourbon and La Bretana pour overs (over the course of 2 mornings). The uniqueness and aromas were amazing! My hubby enjoyed a quad flat white which was delicious. They also give you a little info card with a description of your coffee - a nice little perk ;-) Definitely recommend! read more

Fantastic experience! My wife and I were impressed with their passion for great coffee...you just don't see that in the average coffee shop.
