Turkey and cheese on a kaiser roll

Whenever I need to pick up a quick lunch I'm always heading here. Service is wonderful and the employees couldn't be more helpful and patient. The store itself is small but provides alot. Not only you can get a sandwich but you can also grab a few groceries as well. Very clean and organized. The offer plenty of options on the menu, not just cold cut sandwiches. Seriously a great place with good food and people.

Great little deli. It's a much better alternative to the 7-11 across the street, but also closes much earlier.

I recently stopped in to pickup lunch sandwiches and entered in what we wanted on their ordering kiosk. The process was easy and then you have the great staff take care of you the rest of the way. Lots of classic sandwiches to choose from, but I love me a chicken cutlet inferno. Long hots, hot pepper cheese, fresh chicken cutlets on a seeded roll = Yum. My co-workers ordered a roast beef sandwich and a veggie hoagie - grilled and marinated eggplant, broccoli rabe, roasted peppers & aged sharp provolone. The roast beef was messy, but everyone was happy. While you wait, make sure you check out all the classic Italian specialty items they sell. The people working there are friendly and helpful. I always felt like Pastificio was similar to Primo hoagies, but slightly better because they didn't go big and stayed true to what makes them best. Service and quality. A solid area mainstay. Nothing that'll blow you away, but good, consistent above average sandwiches. Thanks guys!

Dolores' "2 Street" is a fantastic little deli tucked into the heart of South Philly. The space…read moreitself may be small, but what they're banging out behind that counter is anything but. Between the hospitality, juicy cutlets, and absolutely massive sandwiches, this little spot has quickly earned a place near the top of my list whenever I've been hit by a hoagie hankering. When you enter, you're greeted by a friendly staff who gives nothing but your classic S. Philly love and insight on which OG or special they recommend. While the cashier helps you choose, the team is hard at work in the back breading fresh eggplant, slicing up plush sesame seeded rolls or piling up fresh fried JUICCYY cutlets onto any one of their phenomenal sandwiches. This was our first time here and definitely not the last. While I've been craving an acidic and bright classic Italian, the cashier and his list of specials made me an offering I couldn't refuse. Here's the rundown: The Poohbear $14: Sliced to order honey turkey, honey ham, American cheese, shrettuce, tomato, fried pickles, honey mustard, mayo, SPO, EVOO. This was a great mashup of sweet and savory, rich and acidic. The fried pickles helped cut through the sweetness of the meats and honey mustard, while the mayo, SPO, and EVOO brought just enough fat, juiciness, and seasoning to pull everything together. It's the kind of sandwich that hits a little bit of everything, so you never get bored from one bite to the next. 7 out of 10. Hot in Herr (Special) $16: Chicken Cutlets encrusted in Herrs Long Hot Chips, Sharp Provolone, Sauteed Broccoli Rabe (originally comes w/ spinach but broccoli rabe is LIFE), Long Hots w/ Long Hot Mayo. SPO/ Roasted Garlic Extra Virgin Olive Oil. This was exceptional. The cutlets were perfectly fried, juicy and pounded thin but not too thing that you felt like you were eating chicken bacon. The spicy potato chip crust added a nice background kick of heat while the long hots and swapped-in rabe added the vegetal bitterness this needed to cut through the richness. The sharp prov was chefs kiss as was the schmear of long hot mayo and roasted garlic EVOO. Order this if on the menu and make sure you've got a cold one nearby because she is SPICAAYY. 9 out of 10. Dolores' doesn't just deliver massive hoags with great hospitality and price tags that blow a lot of other places out of the water. The flavors, creativity, and quality all go above and beyond too. An absolute MUST if you're in South Philly and if not, still well worth the drive, walk or bike ride. Grab your sando's, take them to the local dog park, bring them to a Phil's game, or find yourself a nearby stoop where nobody's home and dig into some of the best the area has to offer.

Chicken cutlet is not dry and perfectly cooked. Sarcone bread definitely elevates the taste of the sandwich Service was great. Friendly staff and order is completed in a short time. What is unique about this place is the Mummers themed decorations on the wall including the Mummers umbrellas. Very south Philly and show casing the Mummers spirit of pennsport neighborhood.

No No No .... I…read moreordered an egg salad sandwich from here once and the toast was burnt. Not a little overcooked but black and burnt, and they still made the sandwich using the burnt toast and delivered it to me. I will say when I called to tell them about the sandwich they sent another sandwich immediately but why why why would you make a sandwich using obviously burnt bread. My husband , ever the optimist , ordered a breakfast sandwich on a long roll not long after my egg salad experience, the bread was stale. I think because they toasted the bread thinking my husband wouldn't realize the bread was stale but .... There are so many breakfast places to choose from, I can't see myself supporting this business after those two experiences

Pleasant, personable, and accommodating. The gentleman sitting next to me was served a great looking Old Italian hoagie, which I was tempted to buy. The menu is pretty large, and the street parking their was somewhat convenient, considering they're located in a residential neighborhood... Definitely worth stopping in for a morning and afternoon meal.

One of my new favorite vegan places in the world!…read more The atmosphere: moody, skeletons, clips of B-rated horror films playing endlessly on the TVs ... and also glitter, a soft pinky/purply glow, a tremendously welcoming/inclusive vibe. It's playful and cool and fun all at the same time. The staff here? Wildly accommodating, friendly, knowledgeable about their menu, and also exceptional at "reading the room" (eg we were given lots of space to just eat and drink without them checking in us needlessly). DRINKS: I had the Zombie Beach Party (coconut rum, light rum, pineapple, blue curacao, lime). It was a neon blue boozy slushy served in a glass skull topped a little pink umbrella and the juxtaposition of that alone is iiiiiiiiiincredible. (Also these are dangerous; I had two and they went down a little too easily, y'know?). FOOD: At our server's recommendation we got a half order of the Korean BBQ Wings (which were described as "very spicy") and the Tiki Wings ("kind of sweet"). Both are made from crispy seitan and are served with a cucumber ranch. I think they were okay, they kind of tasted similar to be honest, and the Korean wings were definitely not that spicy. We also got the Yokai Fries (fries topped with shishito peppers, togarishi, and yum yum sauce); sooooooo moreish! But ask for more yum yum sauce. The absolute killer (pun intended) here was the fried mac and cheese balls. NO MATTER WHAT, GET THESE. It comes in an order of two, they're tennis ball sized, the mac and cheese is not dry but gooey, the tomato sauce and generously sprinkle of parm bring the whole thing together. I'm fairly confident I could have eaten an order by myself (just like I'm fairly confident I could have had four Zombie Beach Parties). You ARE going out of your way to come here if you find yourself in Philly, friends!

The vibe is horror movie chic, if ya know what I mean. We were greeted and seated promptly and immediately checked out the menu to see what we should try. We asked for the macaroni balls as an app, but they were sold out. A few minutes later, we were told we could order them bc the chef had made a new batch. Yay!! So, we started with the Mac balls and seitan Korean wings. Our apps arrived and I must admit. I enjoyed the seitan wings more than I did the Mac balls. The Korean BBQ (seitan) wings had an amazing sauce that truly made me forget I was at a vegan restaurant. They were crispy, savory, and just delicious. I decided to go with the gyro and my partner went with the cheese steak for his entree. My gyro was yummy! The impossible beef, lettuce and tomato were reminiscent of a regular gyro. I truly couldn't tell the difference. My partner loved his cheese steak too. Monster vegan is a HIT!! Would we try it again? Absolutely!!
