*Pros:* Laborers were professionals and each one does the work perfectly. So 5 stars to the Laborers. See pictures on Yelp and Google that cabinets/countertops are great but overall kitchen remodeling was not completed *Cons:* 1.) Aggressive sales team. We wanted only to add additional cabinets and ended up with Kitchen remodeling at 4 times the original planned budget. An analogy could be that the team will sell you a Porsche when all you wanted was a Honda. The problem is you would never know the true cost as I never wanted a kitchen remodeling. However the sales team would make you sign the contract and make you pay 10% down payment that very day. Please see other comments in Yelp, Google and BBB and to understand I am not exaggerating. See I got this from Angi's list I called them up to update there as well. 2). Finished cabinets and countertop is top notch but the state of Kitchen was left very unpresentable. Kitchen remodeling needs to be complete 3) Asking for 90% of payment when the cabinets and counters are placed but not all work complete esp with broken torn down walls. This is because when the contract was authored the conveniently authored it this way. I politely declined and the team accepted, yet should have never even asked for 90% payment when the work is not completed. 4) Unclear statements - We spoke about backsplashing & the Sales team quoted under $200. Yet was not very clear in contract. While I agreed to paint, back splashing was conveniently removed from contract and as end customer I am not the expert in all these contract. So I felt scammed when the found backsplashing would cost $2000 with labour costs. 5) False promises - Stated will collect the final payment after confirming everything was satisfactory. Yet left with unfinished partial drywall but I did pay as signed in contract and never delayed payment except when work was uncompleted. I am not just a complaining customer but still wanted to register my dissatisfaction and educate other customers. Once again cabinets and countertop are great but overall kitchen is unsatisfactory. We were very pleased with Palm Construction. I initially met with Benjamin Kim and he walked us through the process, including all the guarantees they had. I realized I was paying somewhat more, but it was worth feeling very assured that it would be a top quality job. I also took advantage of their financing plan that included no interest for 3 months, even if you pay back the full amount before the 3 months are up. They also had very positive ratings from BBB. We had the exterior of our house painted, in 3 colors. The painting crew, led by Eugene, was excellent. There was good communication whenever questions came up. The project started within a few days and was finished quickly, as they worked around when we had good weather. Our house looks great. read more

Avoid at all costs. We hired Palm Construction to build a large retaining wall system for our sloped backyard. Lior very pushy and urged us to sign the same evening that he came over to give us a bid. We pushed back and took some time to think about it. They had great reviews on Angi's list so we decided to go with them. Lior over promised and wayyyyyyyy under delivered. The walls are messy and not doing their job of preventing erosion. One of our main concerns was water management and somehow the water run off is much worse now than is was before they built the walls. Also, their team would leave the garbage from their lunch outside every day and animals would get into and distribute is all across our yard. One day they all got fried chicken and the bones ended up getting distributed all across our yard. Our dogs were discovering and eating these bones for days. We're lucky this didn't result in a stressful and costly visit to the vet. The cherry on top is that as we are now planting along the walls, and we cant dig more than 6 inches without running into rubble from the walls that we had them replace. We're talking huge chunks of brick and concrete that are incredible frustrating and time consuming to dig up. In the end, we paid $73k for something that we now have to fix. This is an updated review. I have now had about 8 interactions with this company. This was my original review info : This company took weeks to respond to my request for a bid. Then... they required that my husband be present to provide an onsite visit and estimate. After posting these facts, I received multiple phone calls and emails and text messages. The second interaction was a request to discuss and explain why my husband needed to be present. I said I'd moved on and hired elsewhere. The calls kept coming from various employees asking to discuss my experience and review here. I asked multiple times for this company to stop contacting me. Each time , it was more ludicrous, and I shared this with them. They refused to stop. I told them after 6 times, we had reached the point of harassment , It continued! I then expressed my intention by text response to take legal action if they would not stop. They responded with a texted "novella" and then.... more text messages ensued, as recently as Aug 22. Most recent asking me to take down my review. I notice others have since removed similar reviews. I can only speculate that these didn't just coincidentally get removed. Heres the thing. They are requiring that your spouse be onsite and that is their prerogative. Maybe they have their small biz reason for this. They are not my company therefore, nor other's, based on reviews that used to also be here and have been removed. They claim that their insurance company requires this and that's not honest is it? Neither is harassing reviewers to the point of manipulating the reviews online. This company may do great work and may have great prices. They should just keep doing that if so, and let the chips fall. They defend themselves by claiming to have single woman clients as if this is an olive branch to women. Yet, they have a policy that doesn't work for everyone and they don't seem willing to own it or the backlash. They are also clearly not respectful of your time, boundaries or trust. The absolute worst! If I could leave less than 1 star, I would! Horrible communication, way too expensive and awful quality. A one week deck update turned into a 4 month disaster. My garage roof and personal property was ruined, perfectly fine railings torn off against my request and replaced with damaged railings. The flooring is left streaky and horrible looking. After spending way too much on this awful job, I now have to pay more money to find somebody come in and fix their disaster. Stay as far away from this place as you can!! Palm was one of several companies we contacted via Angie's List for a full kitchen remodel in Seattle. They were rated highly there. They kept calling and re-scheduling. Finally we found a time at 6pm, a week after most other companies were already here and we already got some offers. On the scheduled day, sometime after 6, they called from the way saying they had a vehicle issue, and we can either re-schedule again or wait and they'll send a backup. We said just send someone tonight, we're here. Finally around 8pm someone knocks on the door, presenting himself as a regional manager (don't know if I can trust any of that anymore). At the kitchen he seemed pretty knowledgeable and friendly. However, unlike previous visitors who were generally cordial towards competitors, he kept trashing the competition, repeatedly saying that "44%" of their business is rescuing projects stuck by other contractors (a strangely precise figure). He also said they generally have a couple months' lead time, but right now he has several teams in the neighborhood, and since our job does not require actual wall construction he can "peel" people off them and do our work much sooner. But we must decide fast. After a long stay which included a foray into the bathroom where we also need some work, even though we were not really prepared for a complete discussion and it was kinda forced on us under the promise of some cost savings, he sat at the table to write up an offer. When he was done - it was well after 9pm, and both of us after long workdays - he suddenly mentioned that the law allows us 3 days to change our minds and get all our money back, and said "I'm not asking for anything, only 10%". I asked him in disbelief, "Do you mean you expect us to sit down, sign an agreement and write you a check for $3000 right now on the spot?" To which he replied, "Yes". It should be noted that his offer excluded all materials including cabinets, so it was easily 2x higher than the others. And he was fully aware that we have competing offers which we're taking seriously. I was ready to throw him out of our home right there and then, but my wife is more civilized so she tried to reason with him that we haven't even been to the cabinet showroom they're working with, etc. He relented to giving us 48 hours after which the offer expires, but I think it was saving face and both sides knew there's not a chance we'll do business with him. Whether he's a regional manager or not, Palm need to get their marketing act in order. This is no way to behave. read more

Overview: Palm Construction rebuilt our 8' by 12' outdoor deck and stairway in August 2022 by Jonathan and his crew. In short, they did an excellent job and we would hire them again. Their price was competitive with the other bids we obtained. Their bid was on the high end of the range, but their workmanship was well worth the difference. Details: This was a small project. We replaced an existing, rotting cedar deck and stairs with the exact same dimensions using Trex. The demolition was started on a Wednesday and the replacement deck, stairs and railings were completed by the following Thursday. Actual work was done over 4 calendar days. The crew was very professional and courteous and we tried to be the same. After an initial down payment, the 5 remaining payments were made at pre-arranged milestones. Pros: Professional service, quality materials, great workmanship, good customer service. Cons: Aggressive sales pitch but because we had multiple bids already it wasn't a problem, minor initial communications delays that we resolved with a few phone calls. read more

While we ultimately got a nice deck it took a lot of time, effort and aggravation to get there. Despite being the most expensive bid we got we chose Palm Construction because they were highly rated with good reviews. Unfortunately we encountered several issues. The first is that when the salesman came out he showed us beautiful pictures of window framed decks with lovely miter joints which is what we thought we were getting. He didn't actually look closely at our deck. As it turned out, since we were not doing a rebuild, miter joints were not possible in all but one corner. The second issue was that the cedar purchased to rebuild our railing was poor quality. We did not get a chance to inspect the wood before it was installed and painted There were many gouges and it all needed a good sanding. The gouges were filled in with putty. When we complained how rough the balusters were we were told that's how the wood comes and no contractor would sand it first. That may be true but it was ugly and, in the case of the stair railing, a hazard. After showing the railing to the supervisor it was replaced with better quality wood but Palm Construction refused to sand or replace the really rough balusters and threatened us with legal action if we did not accept them. The third issue was that the crew used screws that were too long and then cut the excess off. They damaged some existing wood in the process and were going to leave it as is until we complained. Palm Construction replaced the damaged wood and used decent quality. The fourth issue was that four of the Trex boards were damaged. The crew didn't notice and installed them anyway. When we pointed it out Palm Construction replaced these boards without complaint. The fifth issue was that two of the miter jointed on the deck railing were not lined up. Fortunately for us the site foreman brought the crew back. He had them come back to fix the miter joints and sand and repaint the worst of the balusters but just for the side that faces into the deck. After reading our comments on the project sign off sheet a woman from Palm contacted me and asked if there was anything Palm could do to improve things. Since the project was finished we said all we could think of was a partial refund. I was told she had to discuss it with her manager and would get back to me on Tuesday. Several days after Tuesday she contacted me and offered a rather small amount as compensation. In exchange we had to promise not to post a poor review. We did not accept. We now have a nice deck but it was a big hassle. read more

From day one on the job with demolition to the final installation of our new appliances, the kitchen remodel process went extremely smoothly. All completed in just three weeks! The finished product looks even better than we had hoped for. Yonaton is extremely knowledgeable and made valuable suggestions to improve our initial plan. He stayed by our side the whole way through the process. He came across as truly caring about our happiness and went above and beyond in working with the cabinet and countertop installers to assure we received exactly what we wanted. They didn't do a double coat of paint, damaged our dryer, didn't paint the second bathroom and Eli the contractor always promised to come on certain days and always lied but always talked about TRUST . When asking for the detailed invoice got a bogus one and I'm sure we paid for the pod which they NEVER USED. $110,000 dollars was a rip off but we went with the rating stars which I'm sure they were fluffed. Was told another contractor from that company would call me back and of course NEVER DID. Do I want them back in our home again yes only to fix what they didn't do or that is poorly done yet they want to see pictures which we have plenty but husband signed the contract and poof they ran like a fart in the wind. I am bedridden because of MS and all I can say is RUN!! Don't contact my husband but contact me , the wife and finish what u promised to do but don't want Eli, Jose or Marcos here. Lee was our project manager and Aldafo was in charge of the remodeling our back porch. The wall was removed that separated the porch from the kitchen. After removing the wall it created a much needed dining area that totally changed the look and feel of our new house. The work was done really well and Aldafo is excellent with communicating when he will be onsite to work and very quick and through with all aspects of the remodel. Lee is very good at keeping us up to date on all phases of the project and did a great job making sure the project ran smoothly and gave us many options and suggestions that we really appreciated. read more

He also was flexible when I had minor changes in the specifications/materials. The work crew was great and the workmanship seemed of high quality. When the appointment was scheduled I was told that they don't come out for a job less that $5,000. I was surprised but figured that painting my 1,576 square foot home would probably cost at least that much. Two salesmen came out. They walked around my house exterior then we sat down to talk. They gave me an estimate of $15,000 -- three times the cost that two other contractors bid. They spent a lot of time telling me how they are expanding their business and that their rating was superior. The two of them took turns trying to strong arm me to sign their contract and give them a down payment. One of them pointed to my fence and wiggled the panel then showed me pictures of fences they had built. I only wanted my house painted for the time being. I had to keep telling them I don't sign any contract on the spot and always sleep on decisions -- but they persisted. They finally left and gave each other a high five in my driveway before looking around to see me watching. One of them was rude enough to spit while we walked around -- showed lack of respect. I usually don't give reviews and if I could give zero stars I would. I scheduled my day off (that had been scheduled for over a week) around my appointment today. It was supposed to be at 11 am. An hour before they called and said the project manager was delayed and could they come between 12- 12:30. I received another call at 11:55 saying that I had an appointment at noon and the project manager was running behind and would need to come between 12:30- 1. When I told her my original appointment was at 11 she proceeded to argue with me saying I was wrong it was at 12. At 12:30 I received another call from the same lady saying the project manager was running late and they'd be here by 1:30. I told her to forget it if they couldn't even show up to give an estimate I don't want to do business with a company like that. read more

Garbage from the job was left in my driveway and on my lawn. They didn't replace my skylight because it was an odd size. The roof does not look great. For the price, I expected much better. Palm Construction replaced my old wood deck with a Trex one. The estimate was reasonable and they were able to fit me in when a previous customer had to either cancel or delay their project. I love the deck (it looks and feels great) and Liroy, the field supervisor, was very friendly and helpful. However, I took one star off my review because of the communication and clean up was a little slower than optimal. The workers were not able to come for several days once the job started because one was sick. There was not much communication about it until afterwards and I didn't know how much of the delay was due to the fact that they had squeezed my job into their schedule. The final clean-up of some leftover materials also took some time but the job is finally completely finished. read more
