This hidden gem is an amazing find. I recently visited their Bay Head location in April and found out their main location was having a weekend sidewalk sale so I decided to drop by. One of the employees, Donna, greeted me and remembered helping me back in April. She told me about the promotion they were running which was nice. I did end up trying a few things off their sale rack but did end up leaving empty handed. I ended up spending some time wandering the store, just looking at everything! They had Men's and kids as well as swimwear, jewelry, some home accessories (I.e. pillows). I asked the other associate if they had a Margot dress for me to try since I wanted to get an idea of fit and if I'd like the style. She did a quick glance and told me they were out but ended up telling me to try their Bay Head location since they were less visited. I was a bit disappointed since when I worked in retail, I'd call to make sure the other store had it before sending me there. And Bay Head turned out to be closed when I got there anyway. While this wouldn't deter me from coming back, I'd probably only work with Donna in the future. read more

Great clothes that are bright and very playful from Lilly Pulitzer. They have a location in Princeton as well. The fashion is not only bright but they carry size 00. The saleswoman is extremely courteous and stated that if I can find something that I like in my size she will order it from the Princeton store. I actually live closer to the location so I can always swing by to that store. As I walked around the store, I kept repeating the same word over and over cute, cute, cute, cute! I was nearing the end of my lunch hour so I really couldn't enjoyed as much as I could've should I have had more time. I will be back though hopefully with more time to shop. A store with no sense of proper business acumen that degrades their customers. I spent $270 here today. They have a huge summer promotion going on - mind you not sale - and my "sale items" aka promotional items were given to me in a plastic, "thank you", flea market looking bag (attached picture). However, the one sweater I bought, that was not part of this promotion, was given to me in their "palm place bag" - wrapped neatly with tissue. So let's just degrade our customers who INVOLUNTARILY participate in the store promotions?? This store only does promotions because it clearly has problems moving merchandise and we're to blame?? Bizarre and completely classless. Never shopping here again. If a store cannot properly package their sold merchandise - it should not be in business. Beyond unprofessional. read more

It's a shame be aide I really like this place they have great staff however the staff is very unfriendly. I have been in there a few times and although I am only buying a little I am still a customer. I feel like the staff profiles me as. OT going to spend a lot and write me off. I've asked for help with things and they can't be bothered. I called once asking if they had something specific and there answer was you will just have to come in because we have a lot of things. Last time I was there I was buying something and was suppose to get a gift with purchase but as I was walking out the one sales person to the other she's not worth it she only bought a pair of shoes. I was very upset from this because I love to shop local but after these experiences I will probably shop for Lilly online now. read more

No. I wouldn't shop here. I remember visiting it and just feeling so out of place. The place a sheer mess and they don't seem to carry any of the sizes. Palm place, you didn't make me feel special. If you happen to be one of the few blue-blooded regulars to shop here, you will get treated very well. Otherwise, you'll be treated in a dismissive and indifferent kind of way. On 4/19, I went to the shop to see if there were any Lilly Pulitzer dresses that were of my liking. Turns out the shop looks like a bomb hit it and they never carry any 0-4 sizes. The young lady behind the counter, who looked absolutely swamped, said that she would order the dress and that they would call me. She did recognize me as a previous shopper, but nothing else. Still having heard nothing on 4/24, got dismissed once again by "Donna" on the phone, complaining that "the owner" did not know when my dresses were coming in (who all the staff refer to in an ominous way, who by the way is Ted Smith, a very reasonable human being, and owns all the Palm Places in NJ). I got nowhere that day and still no dresses. Let's just say that they only way that I could get through to anybody was by calling the Lilly Pulitzer headquarters in P.A. They took me very seriously and all the staff of the store were eating humble pie when they spoke to me next. Received a call from "THE OWNER" by the afternoon as well assuring me that they dresses were ordered and that they would be in contact with me as soon as they came in. C'mon, ladies, they are only dresses. read more

I would NEVER shop at this place again or recommend it to my friends. The staff was unwelcoming and rude time after time. Every time I have gone in with the hope it will be different, I have been disappointed and have regretted it. The staff seems overwhelmed with the store although it is a small shop. The "we are too busy for you" attitude is something that turns customers away and actually makes the atmosphere uncomfortable. The staff there assumes everyone is from out of town... regardless of the season. As a local who has lived in the area my entire life, it was annoying when they assumed I didn't know how to get to their other location and furthermore they didn't think I knew anything about the town I was currently in. The seemingly superficial and judgmental staff is the one thing that ruins the whole experience one expects while shopping at a retail store. I am all for supporting small businesses, but not when they treat everyone like they can't afford their merchandise and act like they have better things to do than help you find a product or even check out. I love the Lilly Pulitzer brand and the quality of their clothes and designs, and will continue to purchase their items ONLINE or at other stores NOT affiliated with this one. I just went into the Palm Place today and I had to come home to write this review. I was shocked that NO ONE said hello when we came in BOTH times. I walked out the first time without a purchase because I was so unwelcomed. However, I had to buy my husband a gift that was in there. Even the second time, as I approached the register, the staff didn't recognize me until I placed the hanger on the counter. The woman who wrapped up the gift could not even look at me to say thank you, rather she continued to talk to the other sales woman. In the future we will buy from another store for any Lilly or VV wear. Done! read more

The staff are always very friendly. They let you shop without following you around. I just placed an order with them over the phone since I am out of state. They could not have made it any easier. I look forward to my visits to Palm Place. read more

I've come here many times and want to love it but customer service really could use a lot of improvement. One major example: I asked for a handbag they had in their other location and said they would order it and have it sent. Woman on the phone was super nice. I called back 2 separate times to follow up, one a week later another time a month later and never got an answer for when it would be in. I wanted to use it for my bridal shower in June but I never wound up getting it because no one ever called me back even after following up twice. As a small business I think this is something you should be aware of as an area of improvement. Ironically enough my mother ordered a dress for me at Christmas time and had the same problem - no follow up. She however eventually wound up getting the dress. Please improve your customer service as you're the only Lilly in the area! read more
