Literally the worst customer service I have experienced in my LIFE. If you want to feel like you're in high school being bullied by the mean girls then by all means spend your money here. Went there the other day and workers are rude and clearly don't want to work there. I went to their cafe and decided to try their cold brew and matcha. The cold brew was milky and didn't have a strong coffee taste. Their matcha was even worse and did not taste like matcha and tased like milk and watered down. Worst boutique I've ever been to. Immediately went to look at the adorable sweatshirts that I've seen worn by other New Jerseyans and Alix Earle. The sweatshirts are not well made and are just Gilden hoodies with "Hazel" printed on them. Before asking for the price, a worker obnoxiously says "yeah the sweatshirts are 88 dollars" while having a very nasty look on their face. Ok the sweatshirts are overpriced I get it. But saying it in an obnoxious voice as if I can't afford it is quite rude. The workers also stood around the counter chatting the whole time and were not very helpful. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Workers are dishonest, disrespectful, and downright awful. Reviews don't lie, numerous one star reviews, too late for me hopefully not for you. I asked specifically if I was able to return an item. I was given a simple "Yes, as long as I have receipt" An hour after purchase, my daughter brought it back to return because the item was see through. Upon return they told me I was only able to return for store credit. That was never disclosed. Several violations made according to consumer fraud act. Return policy was covered up by object (later owner, who stated she was a manager, even though her picture is listed as owner on their website after researching the business, stated that it was Memorial Day weekend and they were busy, so items were covering it). Return policy not affixed to register, not posted at door and not on tags...which again is another CFA violation - no pricing was on any of their clothing objects. read more

I'd give this store less than 1 if I could. Me and a few friends decided to go in to browse and the workers there immediately gave us dirty looks and starting talking about us. My friend, a black girl (it's important) saw them switch the camera to watch us all shop to make sure we weren't stealing. This store RACIALLY PROFILES! If you aren't a white girl in lulu lemon, they won't serve you and don't think you deserve to shop there. Love the cute clothes and curation of the unique household decorations! Definitely a unique and colorful store that's worth stopping by and checking out. My critique falls with the store safety and staff etiquette. The rugs are all curved up on the edges and you trip as soon as you enter the store. When I was at the store the staff was rude and had no interest in being there of helping the customer. The employees were wearing masks but not over their mouth or noses! I had the same experience when I was at the Ramsey location with the staff. There was also a dog which I didn't mind and it was super cute but there were dog toys on top of the clothes which was weird. read more

I was about to buy a few more items but will never make a half hour trip to give this store my business. I would rather be a patron to a store like Lululemon who has an excellent return policy. After waiting since ordering on the 12/5/20 and my order for my niece's Christmas gift never arriving, this is the excuse I get after multiple emails: All of our Hazel sweatshirts, sweatpants, and bracelets are made to order items and on pre-order. They ship out 3-6 weeks from purchase depending on the styles ordered. Due to high volume this holiday season we were only able to guarantee orders placed on or before Black Friday to be delivered by Christmas. We are hoping for all remaining orders to be delivered by this week or early next week latest. Thank you for your understanding and patience with us! Now is now the time to be telling me this, I would never have ordered if I knew it would not be delivered in time. Will NEVER order from here again. read more

I've been here a few times but came again yesterday in search of a dress I spotted on Instagram. That yaaaaassss moment when you find exactly what it is you're looking for and in your size. The guy working at the Belmar location (there's a Hazel in Ramsey, NJ, too!) helped me with questions I had about what colors it came in and when. There's 3 fitting rooms on one side of the shop and then some more on the other side. They have the cutest clothes but if you're really petite it might be hard for you to fit into certain clothes because they do run slightly big. Very slightly though! The decor in the fitting room is very Free People/ Tumblr-esque and it's the cutest. Love Hazel and you should too! read more

Honestly had super high hopes for this place I was excited to visit because I have only shopped online but never been in the store before. Right when I walked in the whole staff gave me this weird judgy stare as if I shouldn't be shopping there or something. They all made glances at my sister and I as we looked around to the point where we actually got uncomfortable. Quickly just realized that the staff were just a bunch of rude snobs. Definitely changed my opinion of this place, I was able to overlook the crazy prices because the clothes are so cute but I simply won't be shopping at a place where the staff makes you feel so out of place based on appearance. Hazel boutique is not only a fun, fashionable boutique; they also offered me exceptional customer service! I bought a unique romper instore when visiting a friend. When I got home, I saw the back had a large stain that went through the lining material as well. I emailed the store, and Jenna emailed me back promptly. She shared her phone number to resolve the issue, called the store to find a replacement, and sent it out to my house out-of-state. I recently visited this location after following them on instagram for quite some time. The store was so cute and had a lot of adorable items to try on. My only issue was I felt the staff was SO inattentive. Throughout my entire shopping experience the staff just chatted with each other or tried on pieces of jewelry. I had no idea where the fitting rooms were and even thought its a small store, it would have been nice to have someone approach me and ask if i needed a fitting room or how i was doing. I felt as though the staff was more interested in talking to each other then actually doing their job. Overall, I love the clothes there and will most likely return. read more

Hands down the best customer service I've ever received - both their instagram representative and owner Jenna went above and beyond to make sure my experience with them was impeccable. They were attentive, kind, and willing to help with everything I needed over multiple months of trying to get some items that went out of stock frequently. They put up with everything and I was definitely an annoying customer -- but they were so willing to do it ! Not only that; their clothes are so cute and have such good quality. I would recommend their boutique so much that I downloaded Yelp just to review them. And if you find something you want, get in quick ! While the clothes are beyond cute they never have in stock what they promote on their social media. A friend and i went to the store 30 minutes after a post of a new item arriving only to find out that it had already been sold. They lack a variety of sizes and only seem to order an extremely small quantity of what they promote on their social medias. Not to mention that their staff is stuck up. I've been to this location 5+ within the year and every time I have gone in there it is just the workers socializing with each other. They make the atmosphere very uncomfortable and my friends and I refuse to ever go there alone. While they promote cute clothes I wouldn't bother waisting my time here. Was a regular customer to this cute boutique and was very happy with it, until out of the blue I was exchanging a bathing suit for a size up and after leaving the store got home to find 2 missed calls from the boutique on my phone as well as a text message personally from one of its owners, Jeanna, who blatantly suggested I had shop lifted just because I was not prompted to give the receipt when I made the exchange. (I had bought the bathing suit the day before and did the exchange with the same girl that had sold it to me and she did not ask for the receipt so I did not think anything of it in the moment). Jeanna, after saying how "she has security cameras and thought there was something suspicious about the exchange", dramatically said I was no longer welcome to shop at Hazel. The fact that the owner said such a thing and treated me in such a way after the employee made the error of forgetting to ask for my receipt appalled me. I called Hazel back to tell them I would be happy to send in the receipt (by mail, because after the encounter I do not want to go back to that store) and nicely said how I was disappointed that I was immediately accused of shop lifting to which the owner hung up the phone. Hung up on me as I tried to clear up any misunderstandings. Thank you Hazel for your manners. I do not know what leads a store owner to jump to such conclusions and I will give her the benefit of the doubt that maybe she was having a bad day, but I will not be going back. She made me feel personally victimized when I had done nothing wrong and I am incredibly disappointed in the lack of customer service and the management of the store as a whole. read more
