After realizing this is also a consignment shop of course I had to look through the clothes and they have a great selection! Tons of cool shoes too. This is the shop to get a funny gift for your best friend but also to look around for a little something cute for yourself. Mugs, books, magnets, lighters with Tina belchers face on them. Ive been seeing these yoga type onsies everywhere and wanted to try one once I saw them but they didn't have my normal size. The ladies working were completely right on having me try the medium (I'm usually between large and extra large) as these run oversized. They had said most times the medium works on those who are usually in my size range and height range 5''2. I never would have tried them on other wise. It fit so good and they helped picked out other clothes I would have never thought to try on based off of size alone. Will definitely be back again! The one on one attention was slightly overwhelming and may not be everyone's style of sale, but it's understandable why she runs her business the way she does. She had me try on a Bésame lipstick which I was instantly sold on because I'm familiar with the brand and had been looking for a new red shade. Also picked up a gorgeous recycled leather crossbody that caught my eye. I fell in love with a playsuit in a tattoo print which was not available in the displayed fabric in my size, but Tara did a great job of showing me lots of options and fits to decipher my style. If you do order something, be patient because tariffs have been a challenge but my item was worth the wait. It fits pretty perfectly and is so gorgeous. Can't wait until I can get some more couture from Bettie's.

I have bought so many things here from dresses, to petticoats, to shoes, to makeup, to hair accessories, to sun glasses - all in vintage 1950s style. This store does NOT SELL FAST FASHION. So if you are looking for a bargain, this is not the place. All the dresses are designed by the owner & made in small batches, in limited run. Once a dress sells out it seems to be gone forever. I went to Asbury Park today to pick up a dress & the store was closed. It looks like it either moved or was under construction. Her IG shows a store in New Orleans so maybe they moved everything there. I hope not because I love this place. There's nothing else like it that I know of nearby, including Manhattan.

She mentioned that it was her favorite store and an absolute "must visit" whenever she was in the area. Well, after stepping foot inside, I immediately understood why she felt that way. The shop was so meticulously curated with all kinds of unique gifts that you would not find anywhere else. These were not cheesy Asbury souvenirs, but expertly crafted pieces to display in your home, to wear as accessories, to give to your pet, and so much more. We both purchased several items that caught our eyes and made sure to praise the selection when talking to the cashier. I will definitely be adding this to my own "must visit" list going forward.
