The most painful pedicure I've ever had. My cuticles on my big toes were literally bleeding. Leg message was bruising and technician made no effort to avoid an obvious wound. The nails were literally cut crooked and the edges are messy (I wasn't given a chance to look at them before being ushered to the desk to pay). Upon leaving I immediately had to get out a nail file to clean up what I could (picture is the result). I should have said something about the pain and discomfort, but after being clipped twice I was just trying to get through without crying (even the massage chair was awful). The place is beautiful and I am thankful my friend had a different technician that did a good job. Just the worst experience for me. It may not have been so bad had she'd understood a little English. First, a pedi: Cuticle cutting, she cuts you and giggles. She was using old polish, had to thin it out which makes it go on streaky and takes forever to dry. No straight edges at the cuticle, paint on my skin, just messy. Second, mani: She filed the top of my nail with a drill, I first thought lightly to smooth them a little... no, roughed them up as though she's applying a primer and we're using regular polish, now one hand's nails are damaged (I stopped her from doing the other hand)! The cuticle cutting was horrible, not close to the nail, cutting too far away making a mess. I then asked her if she had a new bottle the same color, I got just a blank stare (again). She proceeds to put on the bad streaky polish (over some old polish she didn't fully remove from my last mani). It was applied so lumpy she on her own started to remove it and reapply. I stopped her and requested NO polish. All the while she was totally unaware of her nails digging into my every finger and toe. Third, was supposed to be an eyebrow wax. I said no thank you, I'm too afraid. In the end the wanted to charge me for both the mani AND pedi... I said no way, I didn't get the mani. read more

She also seriously hurt me when she was using the machine to make my nails smooth- multiple times. So they put me with another person. I tried to explain again what I wanted and told them the color I had picked. He did a horrible job. The powder manicure does not even go all the way to the sides of my nails, it is uneven and lumpy, and the color is hideous. They did not use a polish. I had previously selected one. When I asked about it because I was sure that could not possibly be the end product, they told me, no- I was done. I paid and left in tears. I am embarrassed to walk around with these nails. I got a manicure and pedicure here by a lovely older woman. Unfortunately, the results were not great. There were several cons. There's a huge communication barrier since she didn't understand much English. I had asked her not to cut my cuticles three times and then again when we switched to manicures. She simply didn't understand what I was saying. I tried asking if I could use the nail polish displayed on the counter, but she didn't understand my question. I wound up choosing a color I really didn't want because I was given very limited options to choose from on a nail tray. The pedicure and manicure were both lacking. Some nails are cut crooked, some are shorter than others, my skin was cut (hopefully it heals without infection), the nail clippers weren't cleaned and still had someone else's clipped nail in them. There was a very mediocre massage and scrub which would've been easily overlooked if the nail results were good. The nail polish application was not as expected. I could've done a better job myself and regret coming here. They seemed accommodating and walk-ins were welcome. I think you may have better luck depending on which technician you end up with. Had an appointment for 9am before my vacation. Had a french manicure. Thought it was odd the tech didn't put the top clear coat over the entire nail only over the pink. Woke up up the next morning to catch a flight and where the white and pink meet it was all bubbled over. I did notice the white wasn't straight when I left however I didn't want to complain. Well now less then 24 hours later the nails look like a 5 year old did them. I did call they said when I get back come in. That doesn't help me now. Then they said french manicure only works with gel. One they didn't tell me this when I asked for it and two french has been around forever now it can only be done with gel. When I went to pay with the card, she rudely told me "no good, 3 years old". I have multiple cards but she wasn't having it. What was supposed to be a nice experience turned out to be a nightmare. Beware! $35 Gel polish $45 kid gel hands and toes I arrived for my pedicure. The tech I was placed with didn't speak English. They were extremely rough taking off the regular nail polish with polish remover. Next I asked for the tech not to cut my nails they proceeded to anyway until I stopped them again. I asked for square they then rounded them... cut me with clippers. I stopped the pedicure and asked for just a polish change. They abruptly got up clearly mad and left me at station. A new person returned where I had to re explain why again I wanted only a pedicure. She did the best she could do and painted them with gel polish. Separately my little one (4years old) got her nails and toes painted with gel. She sat quietly, all in all it lasted 15 minutes at best. I go to the counter and I'm told $35 for the gel polish to my nails (no soak of previous polish-no mani cure- simply painting on polish) and $45 for the little ones 15 min gel hand and feet polish (no filing or previous color off). The owner came over during the service to say she undercharged my 80 year old mother and I needed to compensate on my bill. Do not go here if you want quality work done! I just got a full set done two weeks before at another facility. The guy I went to did not clean my nails properly and I told him they would lift. he didn't double prime them like I asked. So when I checked out I told the lady I didn't like them and I would be back in a few days when they start to lift or pop off. I was back in a few days and then the man yelled at me and told me it was the original persons fault on why they were popping off! I told him to replace the two and I'll never come back! The woman who did my pedicure was not nice and rushed through my pedicure so fast that I felt I wasn't getting the service I was paying $30+ dollars for. She only pushed my cuticles back on two of my toes not knowing I was watching very closely and paying attention. My first experience with Palm Nails was 10 days ago. The nail Tech did a nice job on the SNS Ombré that I requested, but over the course of the next week, most of my nails cracked and became sharp and jagged, so I trimmed them mostly down. I made a new appt and tried a different mail tech this morning and after removing all of the SNS powder, I had fungus on one nail from water getting in through the cracks. I showed the nail tech a photo if what I wanted and it went downhill from there. The test of my nails were cut down to the top of my finger and I suggested nail tips as I did not want my nails to be level with my skin, but was told it would look fine short - I mentioned the fungus was now noticeable and a flower was now painted there - even though I never knew that was the plan and I hated it. After 2.5 hrs I had to leave but told the owner the situation and showed the picture of what I had wanted. They we're not fixibg it or refunding money ($75). That is terrible customer service! Would not recommend, I came to this establishment with my cousin for a girls day (after my actual favorite place in town was close) . We go in for a regular pedicure (because I know better than to let this establishment touch my hands ) It's pretty empty when walk in, and we're immediately seated which I was overjoyed about. My cousin and I take our seats next to each other and I'm paired with a young man and she's paired with an older woman. My cousin are sitting there enjoying our pedicure and just catching up, when I realize at no point during this pedicure was my water hot . I believe we had a language barrier, which has never been a problem for me before, but this time was just ridiculous. After informing the young man almost 4 to 5 times that my pedicure water was ice cold, he finally decides to try and scoop the water out (inadequately I may add) and fill the bowl with a little hot water to top off the already COLD water and then proceeds the pedicure. To which I grew very annoyed and frustrated because at this point I've been sitting in the chair for 35 to 40 minutes with cold pedicure water. I then requested management, which to me, seemed to confuse him. I spoke to other workers in the area about requesting management and they seemed annoyed that I as a paying customer.... was not receiving the service that I was paying for. Management never came and spoke to me Instead they moved me to a different pedicure chair ( which no longer was right next to my cousin ) filled it all the way up with hot water, and then talked about me and my cousin in their foreign language. I don't usually make those assumptions baseless , but the amount of eye contact that was made with me by the other employees between conversations was a definite indication that I was the topic of their discussion.
