Rip off. They will try to charge you in any way they can. The workers were incompetent and couldn't figure things out so I had to pay extra fees and only got it partially resolved later . Also don't do the "freeze account" it's a scam. read more

On September 6, 2023, I went tanning then asked to the staff to freeze my account. The staff said it's done so I went home. I went in to the store a couple weeks later to double check the status of my account and the staff said the account is still open. I was in shock, because it suppose to be frozen. The staff said that the manager will call me back, but I never received the call. So I decided to call the store and ask for the manager, but she did not want to talk to me. I went to the store in person so I can talk to the manager. We spoke and she made it sounds like it's my fault. She didn't want to further help me resolve my concern so gave me a phone number to call customer care department. It's her employee that did not freeze my account correctly when I asked. Regarding Phone Experience with Brady: I haven't been to this location but in effort to get a number for Corporate I spoke to a gentleman named BRADY for 25 mins trying to calm down after an incident at another location. One so upsetting that I was dumbfounded, shaken, angry, even shed tears in frustration which I don't believe I've done in my lifetime from a retail encounter. If there is room to promote this amazing, mindful, conscientious young man please do so, and raise$. He is a Rockstar character and employee. Regarding my brief conversation with him he is an ideal candidate to teach Optimal Communication & Employee Training for all of Palm Beach Locations. Brady helped me tremendously on a very frustrating day. If it weren't for not wanting to deal w heavy traffic & unknown areas I would've still considered signing a contract with this group based on this interaction alone. Don't go here. It's all about sales and getting you to buy more stuff and your monthly bill will NEVER be the same!!! You can't go in and tan without getting asked several times if you want to buy more product. So annoying. I was also told my monthly bill would be around $54 after tax, but that the next month would be $8 because it was supposed to be prorated since I signed up at the end of the month. I was charged over $70 on my supposed $8 month and when I called about it they basically said that the girl who signed me up told me wrong and couldn't do anything about it. Don't sign up and fall for their crap, they're just like other big tanning companies which is extremely disappointing. Oh and the 4 free tan card thing?! That's crap too. Geez, I feel like every time I write a review for Palm Beach Tan it's to complain and that just sucks because honestly I come here A LOT and I have been tanning here since I moved to WA in 2005 (granted Palm Beach Tan went through several name changes, but that's how long I have been a customer) This location has recently undergone some staff changes, and the staff that I have encountered the last 2 times either 1) hate their jobs 2) hate customer service. Palm beach tan recently got a new sunless tanning bed, I do both sunless and a lay down bed. This location is one of 2 locations that has the new bed. (And this sunless bed is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! No orange, lasts FOR DAYS! Doesn't wash off like others do and it looks very natural, oh and NO STREAKING!) So anyways I get to the tanning salon and I tell the girl there that I want to do the open sun (which is the lay down bed, I do this for a number of reasons vitamin D deficiency, it helps with my chronic pain, my mood, and overall well being, and it is Dr recommend for me!). She tells me ok, asks me how long? Blah, Blah.. then I tell her I also want to do the spray tan (I like to look healthy, i may feel like crap on the inside but I can still try to look my best on the outside). All the sudden she tells me that they are closing early! In fact she was supposed to close 30-45 minutes ago! Hmm.. Well that's funny, because 1) I called the Orchards Store and they told me No they were open normal hours today (we just had a snow storm so I just wanted to be sure) 2) I was in the store NEXT TO this VERY TANNING SALON for an HOUR AN HALF BEFORE! I was at Sally's Beauty Supply and ran into a friend. We were standing right there. The girl working wasn't even at the front desk the entire time! In fact we wondered if it was open. My friend walked over and the door was open. So I don't know what she was doing, but she wasn't at the front. I understand if a business wants to close early due to weather or other circumstances, BUT YOU NEED TO POST A SIGN ON YOUR DOOR! When I walked in and told her about tanning in the lay down she said NOTHING! It was only when I told her I wanted to do the Sunless too. And if she was going to close that long ago why didn't she? They weren't busy, I was standing there the ENTIRE TIME! Now she allowed me to tan and spray because I asked her this. This to me is shady, she tried lying about why she was closing, she became irritated when I wanted to both lay down and spray, I was gone by 9. In addition if I was adding to her work, well maybe she isn't suited for that job. I was also interested in something for the Sunless bed.. but she had ZERO interest in helping me. Hopefully PBT finds some better staff for this location! read more

I have been with Palm Beach Tan for a while now and love it. Although all locations are different, the staff is always very knowledgeable and friendly. I love this location because it is nice and close to my work and home and the girls there do a great job of trying to remember your name and who you are. The ONLY reason I didn't give this location 5 stars is because they don't have any stand up beds or red light therapy. Those are 2 thigns I love about Palm Beach and am so disappointed this location doesn't have those. Love their 2 spray tan machines, have never gotten a bad spray. I would say I get a spray once a week on Fridays, right before the weekend. All in all, I would highly recommend this location and am sure you will have a great experience. read more

Horrible place.. they replaced levee tan.. where i used to get a single tan session for 9$. I went to palm beach tan and they charged me 27.50$ for ONE 5 minute tan!!! They didn't warn me on the price at all. They didn't try to explain packages to me. It's a horrible overpriced place. read more

Have used PBT for more than two years paying top tier rate of more than $90 per month. it has become impossible to get a decent bed without a wait. Tonight was the final straw. While checking in my person asked a guy who was chatting which bed he would like and he took the highest tier bed, she then turned back to me and offered either the lowest tier bed or a bed that had some burned out bulbs. Just to reinforce the point, the person checking me in took time away from me to give the best remaining bed to a guy (pale, not a true tanner) who was holding a personal conversation with a 2nd employee. Poor access, long waits, and preferential treatment of friends has led me to cancel and find another salon. On top of it all, the person checking me in told me that if I quit I would have to pay a higher rate. Incredible - just stay away!!! read more

This location is nice. The people are friendly. But I was so disappointed in my tan and the associates "sorry". My tan was for 7 minutes in room 3. I had to get out after 3-4 because the fan was barely blowing on the highest setting and I was so hot! And the right facial bulb was out. Upon telling the associate, she just said sorry and that sucked because the maintenance person was there yesterday.. I'm just standing there thinking... oh, ok. Waste of a tan and going to a location further than usual. read more

I absolutely love the spray tans! I got a package and go in every 5 days and have never had any problems. Only reason I gave 4 stars is because I pay a lot for a package and you are charged about $8 every time you get a dark spray tan and I think that is ridiculous but other than that it's great not orange at all. read more

I came from a small privately owned tanning salon. Loved the owner and was very loyal to her. Unfortunately, she moved locations and it is further out of the way on my way home from work than before. I made the change to Palm Beach and I love it so far. The prices are definitely higher, but they have plenty of beds to choose from. No more than a 2-3 minute wait unless you're specifically asking for a bed. Bubbling and sweet girls that greet you and the prettiest tan I've seen yet! read more
