I would go and use the red light therapy and tan sometimes, I was way over charged but it was close to home, I would go after work and sometimes i would have to wait an hour just to use the red light bed. The wait time just kept getting longer and longer, i had asked them if they were going to get anther red light bed, but was told no, I decided to cancel because my time is just as important as there's. I decided to cancel my over priced monthly charge because it was so difficult to even use. I gave them a 30 day notice and they are still charging my card. I have already informed my bank and have to get new cards. read more

They offered me a service but their policy is 3 months minimum, but I would have to go to their website to request deactivation and it takes 30 days to deactivate. I thought it was weird that it takes that long to deactivate, but maybe they do that so they can get more money from the customers. I was told that since my account will be charged on the 15th, I should request the deactivation prior to that date so they wouldn't charge my account the next month. I waited until they charged me 2 months, then I went in to deactivate my account so they can charge me again for the 3rd month but will be deactivated after that, because 3 months is most I can spend. I called the office after 3 months were charged to confirm my account is deactivated and they told me it is deactivated and I wouldn't be charged for the 4th month, but the 15th came and my card was charged again! I called the office and they said that they see it was deactivated so they don't know why I was charged, but they cannot help me on their end. They suggested that I go ahead and put in another deactivation request now, but it would take another month for it to be deactivated and I will be charged one more time!!! I said I don't want to be charged again and would like a refund for the 4th month they charged me, so the office lady told me to send an email to the corporate, which I did. So I signed up on 2/25. They charged me on the date that I signed up, 2/25, then 3/15, 4/15. I requested deactivation on 4/9 so that my account would not be charged on 5/15, but I was charged again on 5/15, which is wrong because I have already paid 3 times already and my account is deactivated on May 9th. I got an email reply from the corporate that because I signed up on 2/25, I cannot REQUEST deactivation until on or after 5/25, which means my account will not be deactivated until 6/25, and they will charge me for 5/15 and 6/15. That is 5 months, not 3 months as they have told me. I'm totally scammed by this business and am really stressed out because I don't have the extra budget for 2 extra months! This is the by far the Best place to get your tan on!! When I come here I'm treated like a Queen. I typically go into the Diamond Bed which gives me a beautiful perfect tan like I was on vacation The owners are wonderful people who care about their customers. read more

I have been going to Bogo Milwaukie for a few years and it has been great until the past year. They have gone through many employee changes (like most businesses), but a few of them are very unprofessional. I wanted to cancel my membership and was told I can only do it by email. I have emailed them 5 times with absolutely no response or impending cancellation. Be careful getting into a membership with them you may not be able to get out of. read more

I love "Bogo tanning". The staff was super friendly and always have a smile on their face. I was going on a vacation to Mexico and needed to get a tan before my trip, and they offered me a great deal with their tanning beds and Cryotherapy. The salon was very clean and pleasant every time! Came in to use a Groupon, woman said she needed my card for a "tanning tax." A couple months later my card was charged $59, thought there may have been some sort of mistake. When I called they referred me to a email, which they sent me over a filled out membership form in someone else's hand writing that I never agreed on. Also, the woman working the front desk had a mesh, completely bs mask during peak covid regulations. This place is a joke. read more

They are knowledgeable and explain the benefits of products to enhance your experience. Your not pressured or made to feel guilty if you don't spend extra money. The salon is nice and always clean. I recently bought a Groupon for 3 velashape sessions to be done at BOGO tanning @ Milwaukee location. Once arriving I filled out some paperwork and was able to speak to the technician regarding some questions I had about velashape. She was very knowledgeable and kind. The rooms are nice, the office is very clean, and the staff is amazing!! I signed up to become a member but silly me I didn't fully over look the contact ( I was in a rush for a meeting I had to go to). Later on I sat down and read contract fully and noticed it was for 12 months. Being new to the area and knowing what kind of traffic I would have to deal with, I email billing to cancel it right away. Due to my busy work schedule and my location I realized that I would not be able to go every week or two weeks for my session. Needless to say I was bummed, because that means I would have to find a new office that offers velashape. For those who are aware velashape prices can be rather pricey if you really want to see results. BOGO tanning really offers a great monthly package!!! I really want to downsize on some stubborn fat that will not go away!!! After sending the email explaining my concerns the owners Jon and Becca Guyette contacted me right away. I would say in less then 24 hours I received and email and a call from them. I was blown away by how kind and understanding they are. They worked out an arrangement with me so I could successfully have time to come in and have my velashape treatments done! I mean I was truly amazed. The customer service they provided is something I haven't experienced in a long time. Most companies would just terminate the contract and not bother to provide a different alternative solutions to help their customers. Overall, I feel good about the whole overall experience. This is great place. Jon and Becca Guyette are genuinely the best business owners (hands down) I have ever had to deal with since moving to Portland. I've been a customer for over a year. I put my account on hold in Sept. 2020, by emailing Operations (bogotanning@gmail.com). I signed a Freeze/Pause Request that states an account can be frozen for up to 120 days. To unfreeze the account you simply email. In Nov. 2020, my card was charged and I had not taken it off of hold. I asked for a refund via email and asked why it had come off of hold. Operations said, "Your account was frozen exactly (2) months as stated in email correspondence." Looking back the confirmation email, it said, "We will freeze consistent with our attached Freeze Account Request Form." But there was a small note at the end of this sentence... "We have froze your Membership for you (2mo)". I missed that small notation. I was annoyed but simply asked Operations for a refund. She said, "Accounts can be frozen (1-4mo) however our standard Freeze time is (2mo)." Operations then said that they would put a "gift card" on my account, in the amount of $93. (I had been charged $93.50. Why fifty cents less?) Operations said that she would "memo" the account that the credit could be used as/for "the first full monthly payment and or other services or products." When I asked a few weeks later to open my account and have this credit applied, Operations then said that the credit couldn't be used for a monthly payment. I expected it to be a simple fix. I would just refer Operations to their former email and it would all be cleared up. They didn't respond to the direct questions I asked or to the proof of the former email. Instead Operation offered random dollar amount discounts, twice. Operations also said that I had a $27 hold fee balance when my credit card shows $72 worth of $9 hold fees. None of the paperwork says that this money expires. I was baffled! With nothing resolved I posted reviews detailing the above. After the reviews posted, and after I contacted the Better Business Bureau, the owner called me and plead with me to take down my reviews. At first, I said I would adjust the reviews to show that we reached a satisfactory resolution once we had done so. He said he would address the concern I had that these things were happening to many other people. I said that as long as he looked into these things, that he had convinced me to take them down and give him a second chance. We agreed that I could always re-post my review if I needed to. This morning I found out that the resolution sent to the BBB blames me, as the customer, for not understanding, LOL!!! When asked about it the owner stated to me today that they do not feel like what was done to me was wrong. He would not be looking into the problems we discussed. I informed the owner that because of this our resolution is void, he did not do what I had asked. I will not be returning to any of this owners businesses even to use his "free" months and I cannot recommend anyone else use them. I would strongly recommend that anyone with an account here check their credit card accounts, their hold fee balances. Most of all, do not accept "gift cards" from them! This matter has not been resolved. I am owed a reimbursement for the $93.50 charged to my Discover card on Nov. 15, 2020 for services never used and for the $72 of hold credit I have accrued on my Discover card since January, 2020 until now. I have all of my signed paperwork and email proof of all of these charges. read more

Not impressed at all. Bought a Groupon with my mom and no where does it say you have to sign up for a membership. While I was tanning they had my mom sign up for a membership saying it was the only way to use the Groupon. This membership happens to be for a year and the only way to break it is to pay $110. Since I cannot rate the groupon cause technically it was through my moms account I thought I would put it on here. Staff is rude, rolled her eyes when we said we had a groupon to try this place. Low end beds are terrible, I have been to other tanning salons and their low end bed seem to be high end compared to these beds. Please save yourself and go elsewhere. read more

The woman who did my microdermabrasion facial was sweet and did a good job. Although, there was some confusion about a Groupon and the customer service was not outstanding. The salon was trashy and so was the female owner. She was rude and unprofessional. Furthermore, as I looked around at the customer's and the owner, you can see the effects that the tanning bed's had on their skin. Orange, wrinkly, and leather complexion's. I quickly began to regret my use of tanning bed's in the past and it encouraged me to abstain from using tanning bed's in the future. read more

I went the first time with my wife. Now I go all the time. I tan once a week, I do Cryo Therapy 3-4 times per week and VelaShape once per week. The staff is always courteous. Outstanding salon. At first we're reluctant to start tanning again but after another typical gray Oregon Winter, we received a one month membership and decided to put it to use. From the moment we walked in, I was impressed by the cleanliness of the salon and the friendliness of the staff. The beds were clean and all the bulbs work and they looked very well-maintained. The salon has many services, most of which we have not utilized but we were so impressed that we decided to continue on our membership on our own. My boyfriend & I have been patrons of BOGO Tanning for 10 months & are very pleased. They have so much to offer it's hard not to do it all. I do a lot of what they offer & I love it. I take 1-3 days per week & just go have a spa day or night. They have great hours, 7 days per week. I would recommend BOGO to everyone. If you are fortunate enough to be there on a day when Rebecca, one of the owners is there, you are in for a real treat. She is very knowledgeable, caring & sincere. If you need anything, just let her know. I suggest going on line or stopping by one of the their locations & check it out. I think you will be very surprised & pleased. I would give a 5 star but feel there's always room for growth & improvement, and they are continually updating & upgrading with technology as it grows & improves.
