Wow--this is by far the most incredible, futuristic tanning experience I've ever encountered. I was a member many years ago (possibly 15 years or more, dating back to around 2007), and I am truly impressed by how much this place has evolved. I was especially pleased to learn they are now located in the Lakeway area, which is where I currently live. I used to visit them when they were located in Westlake, and the growth and upgrades since then are remarkable. The technology here is outstanding. They offer advanced hybrid tanning beds with red light therapy, including the KBL Pure Energy Hybrid and the KBL P9S, which are unlike anything I've experienced before. They also have the Clearlight Wellness Booth, featuring infrared sauna therapy and medical-grade, FDA-cleared red light therapy, which really sets this location apart. This is one of the most unique tanning and wellness studios I've ever visited. The prices are very reasonable, and they carry a great selection of tanning products. Right now, spray tans are only $25, and there are other excellent specials available as well. The staff is genuinely nice--really cool, welcoming people who make you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in. I truly love this place and highly recommend this Lakeway location to anyone looking for a wonderful, modern tanning and wellness experience. read more

When I went in initially to sign up for one month I was told you had to let one payment process thru the automatic system. I asked about cancelation and was told you have to wait u til after the 25th to cancel. Well I just called because I was headed that way to cancel and was told it has to be before the 25th! I should have never signed up to begin with. Another payment going thru and I'm not even tanning. I only needed one month for a trip. This will be my 3rd charge.. I've been coming to Palm Beach Tan for the last nine months. They employees are always so warm and welcoming. The tanning bed is always cleaned and prepared nicely. Overall the establishment is well put together. I prefer Westlake's location for the assortment of tanning beds but the location of Lakeway is more convenient to my home. I visited yesterday for a spray tan for my beach vacation. I was up sold a bunch of additives that she made sound necessary, but were supposed to make my color last in the water and give me better color. My color is already gone, one day later, and I spent almost $70. I've done plenty of spray tans and have never had this happen. I will definitely not return. The sales person was very cheerful, friendly and informative, but I feel like I got duped with all the upsells and I left for the beach as pale as I was to start with. read more

I have been very disappointed with this location. I got a membership about 3 weeks ago. When I initially went in I was told the platinum spray tan membership would include the versa spa/pro but moisturizer and bronzing would be separate. I agreed and got the membership. When I came in the next time I was told it would be an additional 6.50 every time because this location does not have the versa pro so I could only do the versa spa for an up charge. I would not have gotten the membership I did if I had know that. The next time I came in I upgraded my membership and paid the upgrading fee and was told it would cover all spray tan combinations and additives besides moisturizer. The computers were down so I couldn't do the versa spa so they put me in the lower bed and then again said I'd be charged another fee to add the bronzer which they told me was all included and was why I paid to upgrade my membership. When I asked them to explain why I was being told several different things she stated that's all I can tell you and I walked out. I would not recommend going here unless you want to be sold packages at once price then given another when you try and do the services. read more

I went in the other day thinking Palm Beach Tan in Lakeway would be empty because it was early afternoon but there were eight people waiting ahead of me. Tamara was running around taking care of business, keeping people engaged, getting people back to the tanning beds as fast as she could and all with an incredible smile on her face. She handled everybody so well and we were all pretty impressed. Palm Beach Tan needs to do everything they can to keep her on board because if they do not I will hire her in a second. Tried to give this location another chance. My bed was dirty, and I paid $22 for 15 mins however, my bed cut off after 12 mins. I walked out to see if there was a problem and the manager says no you tanned fifteen. Okay, so I'm blind I guess. This particular manager knows the lack of customer service I received months ago and she had the opportunity to try and fix it. She wasn't interested. I even brought in a girlfriend to try it, she also wasn't impressed. I have been tanning for years, and have also worked in a salon years ago. Customer service is everything. As we walked out, she shook her head and rolled her eyes. Heads up, there is a window we can see you. Not impressed, and will not give this location a 3rd try. read more

I had given this place a bad review after having a bad day, which, in my opinion wasn't fair, nor sane. It was uncalled for, and I do apologize. I took it down after realizing that I was being childish. With that being said, I would like to share with the public that this is a really good tanning salon. I have never experienced a bed quite like the "diamond" that they have. Wow! I've only been in it a few times, but got dark. Of course, I already had a base, so that might help too, but it was still a good bed. I like that you can turn the lamp off your face, which is extremely important. As of this date, I am more than pleased with Palm Beach Tan. They went out of their way to accommodate me after I left unhappy that day. I will be getting a membership there soon too! The five stars are for Kelsey. No idea who owns this business, but the smartest thing they ever did was hiring this girl. While inquiring about beds, spray tans, lotions, etc., she still managed to politely answer in detail all of my silly questions, answer the phone, clean beds, wait on several people in a small, busy reception area without missing a beat or making anyone feel left out. Even spoke kindly to a walk-in seeking a donation of some kind. This girl is a keeper and could run all of Lakeway. Palm Beach better watch out before someone steals her. read more

I have been going to this location for 14 years. I have been out of town. so i just wanted a month while i will be here. One girl was quitting when i walked in gave me a key and said would you give this to the girl for me. No problem. So i was going to pay a month the girl said well your not a member so its 20 dollers more normally i pay 50 dollers plus tax. This time it was 77.00 yall might want to let your employees how to use your system. read more

Very disappointing..... +10-year customer at Palm Beach Tan at various locations in Austin and Dallas. Normally they have very positive customer service; yes, they try to give you the upsell every time you come in, but that's their job and they aren't annoying or pushy. A problem with this location is the small size. I went today and the woman in front said that I would have to wait 20-25 minutes because someone had just got into the bed that I typically use. No problem, I ask "How can we fix this?" Fully expecting her to put me in a different bed, because that's the positive customer service I have always received in the past. Her response :: "Well, you can wait, buy an upgrade package or come back another time and hope that bed is available." I probably won't drop my Palm Beach Tan membership (after +10 years !!) but I think I will avoid this location. My biggest complaint -- I think this was the manager, not some random high school kid. I have been going to this location since before it was Palm Beach. I recently met Tamara at the location and she is definitely an asset to the company. I walked in one day when the system had crashed. One customer was already in a room, and three of us were waiting. Tamara was grace under fire. She calmly rebooted the system and then quickly got all of us in our in our rooms. She did all of this without ever looking ruffled. When your people can handle computer issues, take care of customers and do it all with a smile, those are the people you want representing your company. Great job Tamara!! read more

The staff at PBT - Lakeway are all very friendly and informative. I spray tan and their Mystic equipment is always in good working condition and does what Is expected. I use light and the result is always consistent and what I want. The place is small but clean and needed products to spray tan are always available. I am very glad the opened here in Lakeway. went in to get a spray tan ... i am from out of town and simply wanted one tan before i went on a vacation... i have gone to many other places where they take down a name and phone number... here, the lady asked for forms of ID to "prove i am who i say i am". not sure why someone would lie about their identity while getting a spray tan. although i am far over 18, i said my mother is right here and can come in. she said that is not going to work, nor would a photo of my ID because she needs to hold it to insert information... dumbest thing ever i left after the rude and beyond complicated customer service ..... decided to give it another try a few hours later when i was driving by and had my ID... walked in and a different, younger girl is working... i ask for the mystic tan and she tells me the Mystic machine has been broken so they are unable to do spray tans. why wasn't i told that the first time?!? very frustrating and will not go back. read more
