My favorite palm beach location!! Manager Reyna also runs the rowlett location so either one is a win win!!!

I've been a member of Palm Beach Tan years ago and now just a regular client for probably 20 plus years. I've never received such bad customer service as I did from the Store manager "Reyna D" as it was listed in my receipt. Amber is so nice, said she remembered me from richardson store and even said "she's the store manager and I saw her be rude to you." On 1/39/25 around 7:10 p.m. Reyna decided to argue with me for almost 10 min in front of customers and kept telling me my spray tan had expired. I know for a fact it hasn't and she said "it wasn't her problem" and "it was done by an 18 year old who didn't know what she was doing". Mind you that day I purchased the spray tans by the said 18 year old, I waited almost 30 min for the girl to clean the machine and was really patient about it because she was frustrated and couldn't multi task. AFTER I finally told Reyna that I'll pay for another one, she realized the former employee had accidentally used both of my tans in the same day and it wasn't expired. Reyna was beyond condescending and rude. I told her that's fine, I don't think I'll come back to this location and she said "that's fine".... Her tone, demeanor and attitude was so unprofessional. Although I miss my Planet Tan in Murphy, Palm Beach Tan in Garland is great! I want to give a shout out to Liz and Jennifer for their great customer service. They call me by my name they know that Thursday is my cocktail day (LOL) tan and spray tan. Liz gets the spray tan booth ready for me so it's nice and warm for me, thank you Liz I really appreciate that! They are both so sweet and always greet me with a smile. I was a member of another studio that got bought out and merged with Palm Beach. I used to keep my lotion there and during the close and transition somehow my lotion and belongings were lost! I don't tan very often so the bottle was almost full and I wasn't inclined to just purchase a whole new bottle! The manager on duty was so sweet and connected me with Brad from corporate and he went above and beyond to get me my lotion back and when he couldn't he was able to accommodate me and give me a credit to get another one! I so appreciate this level of customer service and making the transition nice and smooth for me when I didn't even realize the other place was closing down lol As far as the studio goes it is a great location with awesome beds and the red light therapy and sauna options which I love! I stop in here when in the area and need a spray tan! The Staff is decently friendly and its never busy. The booth rooms are regularly cleaned but the booth itself not so much. On more than one occasion I have come out with the bottom of my feet bright orange from them not rinsing out the booth. Be sure not to touch the walls either. I've been turned away to tan more than I've gotten to use there facilities due to Internet problems, power failures with every other day some sort of glitch with there system... not another tanning place near by or I'd jump ship on this problematic place!!! always something!! read more

FYI palm Beach tan in garland sucks ass!!! I don't know why i even stopped in. I should have waited Until I got to rowlet but I was in the area and figured what the heck. The girls are assholes, they don't help you with shit and it always costs me more each time I walk in the door. Terrible customer service. Of all the locations in the DFW (and I've been to several) this is the ABSOLUTE BEST one. Employees are so friendly, remember your name when you come in (even wearing a mask they recognize you), and say goodbye when you leave. It's clean and beds are in great condition. Customer service is important to me and it's nice to frequent an establishment that hires employees that understand the value of attracting and retaining business. read more

I wish I could actually give ten stars! These girls are SO helpful and they've taken amazing care of me. They make sure I'm happy and comfortable and take the time to explain things that I have questions about. They don't oversell and they aren't pushy, it's like talking to one of your girlfriends. Went by there yesterday after work around 6:30pm on a Thursday and they were closed. The easiest job ever and they can't even show up. Smh Other than that it's fine, but customer service is 1 star for sure. The employees have attitude as if they get upset if anyone walks in the door. read more

Customer of those Palm Beach Tan and planet tan for over the past 15 years I always do there's three tea and given the fact that I am a cancer survivor And suffer from chronic illnesses. I went into the North Garland location today after coming from a treatment and picking my son up from school who is four to receive a spray tan when I went into the building I was greeted by a platinum box dyed blonde 20-year-old and her little 20 something assistant manager "" gopher. She started the conversation off and said my district manager is in my office back there and you can't bring your son in here. he hast to be nine. I said OK let me speak to him. She went and called for the assistant manager and I said no let me talk to your district manager who's in your office. Backed into a corner she said," no I said he was here earlier and he's watching the camera from home." I said well can you please call him and speak to him and explain to him the situation and she and her compadre were chuckling. She said no I'm not gonna call him for something like this I already know the answer to. obviously not a very intelligent individuals to not be up to date and familiar with the American Association of disabilities act Especially working in a customer service oriented position. I told her please just call your district manager I will speak to him she pressed some numbers in the phone and I don't believe she actually called she said whatever she wanted to say not what I was telling her and I asked may I speak to him and she said no he doesn't want to speak to you he doesn't talk to people he told me to tell you the answer is no she did not even share with him any of the preface of the conversation or the reasoning that the accommodation was needed. I said you know my situation and it's not in compliance with the American with disabilities act to prevent somebody with a disability From having something or somebody and they need as their support system/ agent. I then proceeded to say I was going to text a few of the district managers that I know throughout the company to see if they could do something which I did go ahead and text to let them which 15 minutes later I'm sitting in my car and I still haven't heard back and the manager and assistant manager are sitting in the front talking about me to other customers and looking at my vehicle and chuckling. I think they're both gonna really get a big chuckle when I call the ADA and let them know what's going on at this location as well as actually speak to their district manager this is absolutely unacceptable and I am absolutely furious. Bottom line if you have a disability of any sort or chronic diseases that are visible to the naked eye or not AVOID this place like the plague! The company does not train their rude immature staff about ADA. the fact that I drive with the handicap license plate and on my car and park in a handicap space should've been a clue. read more

The staff here is very friendly and I enjoyed the overall experience of this place until one session when their spray tan machine was broken. I had paid for some nice spray shades but they said I couldn't use their machine that night (which was the only night I was able to tan due to my schedule) and told me I had to go to the rowlett location. Went to the rowlett location and they told me over there I couldn't use the nice spray shades I had just paid for unless i wanted to pay again because the people here at this place didn't void it off my account. This is my favorite PALM BEACH. I love that it has the VERSA PRO and its so easily located next to my favorite smoothie place. But most importantly, I come here for the service! I've been coming here for years and this is the BEST staff I've ever seen at any tanning salon. So nice and friendly, the manager remembers your name; I am more than willing to buy from them! The store manager, I forget her name, SHES AMAZING! There's another guy, I believe his name is Sterling????? HE'S Awesome too. The only reason why I would give this place 4 starts and not 5 is because of the beds. They are always clean, yes, but they are falling apart! Upgraded or repaired new beds are DEFFINATELY needed! The aroma mister on the iBed smells like sewer water; the Level 4 curvy bed that adjusts to your body is falling apart! I'm almost scared to lay in it because it creeks so much. Numerous times I've had a bed turn off on me mid-tan, to where I had to go get redressed and tell the staff, but I wasn't able to finish my session because of the 24 hour rule, which is understandable. And some of the Level 3 pro beds are so old, I feel like I'm not even getting a tan. It's not the employee's faults. Every time I mention my concern they say they have filed a maintenance report. Ashley has had a bad day, but if you're in customer service you leave that at the door. She automatically assumed I was wanting to do the same bed as before, level 4 IBed. I didn't want to express my concerns with that bed, so I had just asked for a different bed, a step down level 3. Ashley then seemed very frustrated that I had changed things up. So I took this time to explain why I wasn't going to chose the ibed. The bed lights never came on. She tried to explain to me that is how the bed works it's tinted and doesn't get hot. This isn't my first rodeo, I've tanned for the last 5 years off and on for vacationing. I know how this bed is supposed to work, so when I express my concerns with it NOT working.. look at my history and take my word for it. Ashley then told me the level 3 beds are full. I looked down the hallway and the doors are open. I laughed it off and asked for a level 4 bed and she said it was full also. Not ready to play games this evening, I asked for the level 5 bed next to me.. with the door wide open with towel and eye wear ready to go. Ashley told me I would have to pay extra for that. I just about lost it. I paid for a 1 month tanning membership for the full level 5 tanning beds. Told her not to tell me otherwise. I paid over $100 for something that usually costs me $40 to $60, I already felt screwed, don't tell me I didn't pay for Diamond. I explained that she didn't sign me up personally so I wasn't upset with her about that, but somethings not right. I paid for level 5 beds. I'm not paying extra. Another lady stepped in to help and she was trying to figure out what it is I wanted to do tonight. She explained the person who signed me up doesn't work at this location. Ok and that's my problem? I just wanted a level 3 or 4 bed (at this time, I'll figure out the diamond membership later), and not the IBed. This lady had said ok, I have a room available for you, room 2. I laughed it off and asked So This room JUST became available?? She had said yeah Ashley just cleaned it....... no she didn't! Ashley walked to The left, it's been 45 seconds and this room is on The right. The room had been available this whole time! Why would you limit your customers to the beds they can tan in? I just don't understand. Ashley doesn't need to be in customer service, and your process of cleaning beds or not assigning beds to be used on certain days because your staff is too lazy to clean a certain number of beds needs to be reevaulated. I will not be tanning at this location any longer and I am expecting compensation for my month membership that I paid for or a month of diamond membership which was originally my intentions of purchase. read more

They are currently running a special for unlimited spray tans at $39.99 a month. I'm currently paying $69.99 a month for unlimited spray tanning. They told me I can not take advantage of this special pricing because I am not a new member. I think this is very unfair I have been a loyal customer for many years why am I paying $30 more for the same service? read more

Really!? If posted hours for a corporate operation state open a 0900 then open at 0900! This is happening way too often and we are about about to boycott PBT because of this. I originally signed up after the salon I worked for (for 15 years) was sold. I joined the Garland Ave location and the Manager at the time, Kelsey (sp), was amazing! After years of being told how rude PBT employees were, she definitely proved my preconceived notions wrong. She has since been moved to a different location and Skyler has taken the place.
