God is this place awful. All of the workers are incredibly rude and act like they don't want to be there at all. I get it. It's a job, but if you're gonna be at the front desk, you have to act like the people coming in actually matter. all of the beds are shit, which was surprising to me considering it's a big college town where tanning is pretty popular. The rooms are good if you like everybody being able to see your feet and not having a mirror. nine out of 10 times I end up locked in the room because of the shitty ass locks. Awful place awful people really I wish I could give it no stars. read more

Membership is a scam. I canceled mine and still owed them $70 for services never used. The lady next to me was having the same issue.

I am STILL trying to get my refund after canceling my membership March 27, 2023. It's now JUNE!!! I received a reply message from Penelope on my previous review that was a joke. I have tried to call the number to their customer service to resolve my refund issue (as directed) only to reach a recording that said "We're sorry, there's no one to take your call. Please leave a message." I left a message some time ago and haven't heard from anyone. I also saw where there was a law suit for this very issue - Palm Beach owed a group of people money. I wish I would have known this about them before choosing to do business here. Someone needs to look into this place and close their doors on them. This is NOT how you run a business. This is stealing customers money! read more

Tanned with Palm Beach years ago at their Nifong location. Stopped going due to horrible service. I have been tanning since almost daily for the last year with Luxury Tan....came to find this place had taken over. I went against my gut feeling and gave it another try.... this is day TWO with Palm Beach, it's currently 10:30am and I'm told I cant tan until after 1:30pm due to their 24 hour policy. Well, I'm leaving town at 11am and wont be back until tomorrow. I live 30 mins north of Columbia so that would be an extra trip. I dont know about the rest of you but my schedule isn't the same day to day.... I have 4 kids and a fulltime job....now I have to try and remember what time I tanned the previous day?? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! The consultant offered to add "tanning dollars" to my account....why? They are only available at your policies convince Looks like history is repeating itself....... read more

i physically went into the Columbia MO store on Broadway as required two months ago to cancel my account. Apparently the clerks aren't trained on how to cancel as my credit card continued to get charged for two months. i contacted their customer service and explained that I physically went into the store to cancel the account . The reply I got was rude and unapologetic. Further I was told I was going to be charged for another month because the employee I talked to at in the store wasn't able to cancel my account. So I will be traveling there on Monday. The manager of the store has not talked or tried to contact me either! i will inform all my co workers what a rip off the store is. read more

There is a good reason this place don't do reviews on their social Media. My wife and myself has been customers long since it was luxury tan. Today my wife went in and was told that the high end lotion she used was not allowed and in fact no lotion other than the overpriced lotion they sell was allowed. They went to some junk 10 minute beds that do nothing for anyone. They also told her it had to be exactly 24 hours between tans. She was 10 minutes prior to her allotted 24 hours and was told she could not tan. We will be canceling our payments each month to this place. When it changed names it lost any resemblance of customer service. There are other options. I noticed the owner put a canned response under my comment. I already attempted to contact them prior to posting this and was simply told those are corporate policies. I consider this company to be rude, ignorant and very poorly ran. I will be sure that every review I post on every site identifies his company for exactly what they are so nobody makes a mistake and accidentally signs a contract with them without knowing all the details. read more

This tanning salon repeatedly changes its hours by placing a note on the door, without changing hours on there online site. They are geared to college students and no other clientele. I was promised back in January that it would only be for Thanksgiving and Christmas, then spring break came and hours changed again and now they have changed there hours for the entire summer. As a customer who has paid close to $90 a month I would expect more professionalism from a company. Go to another company who actually values the customer. read more

Been a customer for years of the Luxury Tan Co on Broadway. Unfortunately Palm Beach Tan bought them out and took over this location on August 1, 2019. Have been going pretty regularly each week and kept hoping the experience would get better. Was put in beds with no instruction on how they operated, functions on the bed were broken and ended up burning my skin, only to return 24 hours later and get reassured the bed would be better that day, and again getting over exposed and burnt. I've tanned for many years in many different beds without burning my skin. I tanned the beggining of the week and my skin broke out in a heat rash and hives. It's hit and miss if the staff even addresses you when you enter, and have little to no knowledge of how or which bed is the right one to put you in. When the Luxury Tan Co operated this salon they knew each bed and how well or not it would be for every customer. The final straw was today, when the young girl behind the counter was not only rude and distrespectful to the line of customers going out the door, but also abused her position to refuse service to her paying customers, after making them wait over 20 minutes to even be acknowledged. To hire an unqualified person to deal directly with customer service, especially when the cstomers are being asked, forced, to deal with inadequate beds, untrained and unproffessional employees at their mercy , is over the top unacceptable. Would I recommend this salon, absolutely not. Do you want to get an even tan without burning? Several beds are so intense that the exposure to your skin will surely cause severe damage at best. Go anywhere else but do not waste you time, money or effort on this business. read more
