I was told that the correct email was provided in my contract. I never imagined I'd have to check my contract for the correct email. I just assumed the staff would know the procedure for cancelling, but I was wrong. Be careful when canceling folks!!

Worst customer service experience I've had in a place of business in a long time. I went in for my usual spray tan and to give my 30 day notice of cancellation as I've moved and this location is no longer convenient for me. Upon cancelling, they charge you a $16.50 cancellation fee. My question was "will I be able to use the spray tan through the 7th of October with this additional fee?" Is it like a proration? The answer was no. "It's a charge so that you aren't charged again October 1st. Unless you cancel exactly 30 days in advance, you'll be charged this additional amount." I've been frequenting tanning establishments for years. Generally, they all want a 30 day notice of cancellation, but prorate your charges. Different companies have different rules and all make you sign lengthy contracts. To each their own. This is not the reason for the review. Abby calls me, as I asked for someone to contact me because the employee "didn't understand it either" and I wanted clarification. Abby reiterated the fee and then proceeds to tell me that "I signed a contract, that there are signs all over and that "I must not be able to read!" WOW. She proceeds to tell me that I am an "entitled c-word" (I won't post that here, but you know), that I cussed out her rep and that I am banned. After the initial shock, I said a few choice words of my own. This isn't about the $16.50. It's about professionalism and integrity. I didn't deserve to be treated that way. I did not cuss her employee out. Customers have questions. This was a legitimate question. Instead of explaining or offering a solution of " to avoid this, we could set your cancelation day to 11/1, or anything similar, she resorted to name calling, banning and lying. I'm still upset by the way I was treated. She also refused to refund the charges and thinks that it is "funny" that I've paid for the full month, the extra fee AND unable to use the service. Proceed with caution here.

Per customer service, the ladies ALWAYS make me feel welcome. They do an exceptional job. I would give them 5+ stars! HOWEVER, when it comes to management I have a major concern. As stated previously, my wife and I have enjoyed Coconut Beach for years. The rates continue to raise, and getting close to $65 a month. Though I understand there are new amenities that are being offered, neither my wife nor I are interested in these services. My MAJOR complaint is; My credit card information was stolen so my bank canceled my card. When I received my new card my wife went into Coconut Beach and was told the old card was declined. She explained the previous card's information was stolen so the bank had issued her a new card. When my wife gave the receptionist the new card, both my wife and my account was charged a $20 activation fee. When questioned about the fee we were told it is company policy and if she did not collect the money the company would take it out of the receptionist paycheck. I have been told these ladies make minimum wage. I later spoke with two other employees who stated this was the policy. It is bad enough that we were charged an additional $40, but there is NO discretion for cases such as ours. So unfortunately due to the continued rise in costs, and hard fast rules that do not take the customer's situation into account, I have effectively cancelled my membership as of today. I hope management will look into this policy to see if it is worth threatening a minimum wage employees with docking their pay in lieu of a common sense approach to a customer's situation.

I purchased a spray and added extra brozner which was 42.00 dollars I sprayed and I got out and I was still really white.
