Luckily, Shayna was the person I dealt with, and I couldn't have been happier! She explained everything thoroughly, answered all my questions, and walked through the process. She was completely knowledgeable and personable. I went in for a one-and-done and left with a membership package.

I had an awful experience at Palm Beach Tan in Seneca due entirely to an employee named Caroline…read more Her customer service skills were extremely poor--she rolled her eyes repeatedly, had a demeaning attitude, and spoke to me in a condescending way throughout the entire interaction. I went in simply to tan. When Caroline pulled up my account, she refused to allow me to tan for the full session time, stating that because I hadn't been to this specific location in two weeks, I wasn't allowed the full time. I explained that I travel frequently and, while I hadn't used this location recently, I have been tanning elsewhere. She dismissed this and said it was "their rule." I asked her to show me where this rule was stated in the waivers or paperwork I signed. She spent about 10 minutes printing out my waiver, which--unsurprisingly--stated nothing about this supposed rule. At that point, I cancelled my membership, especially since there are plenty of other tanning salons with better service. After canceling, I asked what room I would be tanning in, and she smugly said, "You canceled." I reminded her that memberships remain active through the end of the billing period (I actually worked at Palm Beach Tan in college, so I know how the system works). She then said, "Oh, so you want to tan?" while rolling her eyes again and continuing her rude attitude. I have never experienced such unprofessional and disrespectful customer service anywhere. This location seriously needs to retrain its staff--no customer should be treated this way.

This industry is full of wonderful people that really do care for people. But Joy stands out -- I…read moream a pretty broken person but she gave the one thing people don't have much of these days. Time. We sadly don't have much of this but she went above and beyond (like above and beyond what was already above and beyond) :). She is the type of person to make sure periodically to place yourself in her life. Like all of us -- we don't have the answers but people that will give of themselves for others are the type of people to place in your life. It's like osmosis. She will help people to help people.
