Kind of disappointed to see that they've raised their prices again this year. $40 for 30 days of regular base bed, and then $60 for 30 days of high performance bed has reached a higher price level that seems a little too high for what is actually offered compared to other salons in the area. I have gone to Island Tan for 9 years now every spring to start my usual 2 months of tanning bed before pools open up, but this new pricing is really disappointing because they used to be known as one of the more affordable options in Anderson, while still not sacrificing on cleanliness or convenience. But it seems they've decided to continue to raise the pricing. Last year it was $35/$55 for a month of each bed, and a couple years ago it was $30/$50. So at this rate, who knows in a couple years, they may be charging $60/$80 which is just ridiculous to go lay in a bed for 20 mins daily for a month. I hope they reduce the pricing back down to what it was last year because it seems more realistic for what we are paying for in my opinion. I'd be interested in what additions they've made to the experience that would warrant the continued price gauging. I saw on the FB page, that they offer complimentary snacks and coffee now, but its not truly complimentary if you're raising the prices ya know. And they replace the bulbs every year so that shouldn't equal inflation of price either, that's just maintaining a quality salon to me. Just disappointed. read more
