I roomed at the Baxter Hall my first year (just rooms, no kitchen) then Lakeview Apartments my second year (individual apartment-style forms with kitchens). Not sure if Lakeview exists anymore. But I loved studying here and making friends. This school was a huge part of my growth as a person and as a Christian. I'm not sure what it's like now, 11 years later, but I highly recommend it. IN was told that I was not able to access the online portal until the evening before to meet the professor and get an understanding of what is expected during the course but would be able to cancel within a few days with no issues. The 1st day of school I sent an email and left a message stating I would like to cancel due to many reasons and just did not think this was the best timing to proceed and please let me know what needed to be done to cancel. Long story short weeks have gone by with no communication on their end, I even sent them an email the first week and copied several employees because I was getting the sense I was being avoided still to hear nothing. Showed up on my day off Sat morning to return unopened books and they book store was closed and no one seemed to know a thing, I showed them my emails and messages and they were shocked!! Now almost being a month later I have not heard from the them besides harassment calls and emails asking me to sign up for classes for Feb. Needless to say be CAREFUL I was soo excited to start and felt they were helpful in the beginning and after I reluctantly signed the papers (this day I had just came from making funeral arrangements and it was the last day to sign up for classes so they knew I was beyond stressed but assured me not to worry). I fee l was scammed and just opened the mail today and received a bill for $ 2373 for a class I DID NOT EVEN TAKE??????? After being told I had a few days to cancel!!!?? SHADY maybe I'll finally get a call after this post??? Lesson learned... this school is not what it seems, I was hoping to possibly start back up in a few months and am now so disgusted by the pushy sales approach and lack of caring. Good luck

The campuses are kept fairly clean and look really nice, especially gardens with its recent glow up. I also just love the atmosphere of the library there as well. Yes, you will have your occasional frustrating professor or unhelpful advisor, but that's normal and happens everywhere. Palm Beach State is so affordable and has kept their tuition costs low in comparison to rising inflation rates and insanely high costs of living. You get what you pay for, but also so much more if you find a way to get involved. The opportunities to grow are definitely here, you just really have to have the time and apply yourself. After being here for 2 years, I can confidently say PBSC is the perfect steppingstone for any ambitious person seeking higher education. If you are unsure of your major or what you want to do, please come here. You get exposed to a little bit of everything for cheap. My biggest tip is to interact with the professors and advisors. Most are so kind and have so many connections that will help take you further. Overall, it's a great school. It has as grown and gotten so much better since covid and is worth it.

The teachers there are revolving doors. All day long, you are instructed to do assignments on the computer for 9 to 10 hours. The program also has an additional hour, but if the class has teachers with the right curriculum books and is getting it right, it is fine to spend hrs there. Unfortunately, no teachers. All you do is assignments. When exams are given, they do not match what was taught because the teachers and the exam department are not coordinated. The Director of Nursing is not aware of what students are being taught or how. Student concerns are disregarded, leading students to stay silent out of fear. Overall, HCI schools prioritize profit over students' education and aspirations. Consider researching schools thoroughly before enrolling. I was going to Northwood University for International Business and after over a year of attending decided that it was not for me. Anyways, I finally decided that I need to change my major and since I have always loved cooking and baking and watching food network and reading cookbooks..i thought this was the perfect college for me. So far they have not let me down! When I had to switch Universities the transfer was very simple and quick. I had all the paperwork faxed and the finances transfered. FCI offers many different career plans. There is a range from 12-18 months to complete a course. They offer both degrees for International Baking and a Culinary Degree. You can either take one or the other or take both to complete your Bachelors Degree. Its fun and exciting and you get to work with food and cook and taste different things every day. The age of students range from 18 to 60 something. Some people come as soon as they graduate college or others come when they are done raising their kids and are bored/not working and want to learn the ins and outs of the Culinary World. Its a great experience and they offer class hours to work around even the busiest persons schedule! CHECK out the website! I also just have to mention my amazing classmates! They are the best and my Culinary experience wouldn't be the same without them!
