Fantastic experience with Paliy Construction. Almost a year ago, I requested a bid for installing LVT flooring. The project was put on hold for nearly a year. I contacted Corey and not only was the bid still good, they were able to schedule the work in a timely manner. The work was completed last week by Yuri and another guy (whose name I forgot) and I could not be happier! Communication with Corey was excellent. He was very responsive and gave me updates before the project, assuring me of the scheduling. He was in contact with me the day of the work, giving me heads-up on the timing and such. Corey even stopped by the house the next day to review the work with me. The work was completed efficiently, and no corners were cut. Yuri and his coworker were fantastic. They did a great job, paying attention to the details. Especially the randomization of the LVT while they were installing. They cleaned up after themselves and the flooring looks great. Of the three contractors I contacted, Paliy and Corey were the only ones that gave me the confidence to book them. Also, their bid was very competitive and there were no additions once the work was started. I'd definitely contact them for any further work needed. read more

Where do I begin? My search for a contractor to renovate our Master Bathroom began in April 2023. I had several different ideas about what I'd like to do in the space. The first company I called was one I'd had my eye on for years. Without going into too much detail, I'll just say that I paid them a good sum of money to come to my house, look at the space, make suggestions and create a written estimate. I don't feel I got what I paid for -- the estimate wasn't very detailed and there wasn't even a mock up of the space. (Their quote was more than we could go, so I knew I had to adjust my desires. However, I didn't really approach them with other, *what ifs* because I was a little put off with how the first estimate was presented.) But while I waited for that first estimate, I found Paliy Construction online, was impressed with the reviews, so gave them a call. Within just a few days, Nazar, who works up estimates for them, came by, looked at the space, made suggestions, took measurements and within a day or so, emailed a written estimate. His estimate included photos of the bathroom with items circled that would be changed along with detailed line items, so I knew exactly what Paliy would supply and be responsible for, as well as listing those things that I said I would supply. (I asked a third company for an estimate, and never heard back from them.) Well, during all these deliberations we actually had a leak in the shower wall that traveled to the ceiling of the room below. We contacted our insurance company who moved very quickly to assess the damage in that small area and settled the claim quickly. So now, we had a large hole in the wall, no shower, and an area of underlayment that had been removed. We couldn't put off the update any longer. Nazar stayed in touch with me throughout that process whereas the first company lost interest once the insurance company got involved and I never heard from them again. And as I said previously, the last company I contacted never bothered to give me an estimate even after coming by and taking measurements. I called Nazar around May 24, signed a contract on May 26, and on Friday, June 9, Yuri Paliy came by around 9 am, demoed and removed *everything* in the bathroom. It was a clean slate. By this same date, my materials had arrived and most were sitting in my garage. I had guests coming for a week on 6/21, so Paliy moved Heaven and earth to make certain we had our bathroom back before our guests arrived so we didn't have to share a bathroom. By the afternoon of 6/21, (my guests were due to arrive late that night), we had a working bathroom. The only items we had to wait on were the shower door and baseboard trim. We just put up a temporary tension rod and shower curtain. The day my guests left, the shower door was installed and the trim was completed. Everyone who had a hand in this project: Nazar, Ben, Yuri, Max - the young tile expert, the plumber, and flooring expert were super to work with and always professional. And quiet; sometimes I forgot they were even working upstairs! Ben, the project manager, patiently answered all my annoying questions too. And trust me, I ask a lot of questions! I know this review is long, but I just wanted to give you a sense of the timeline and how this company not only gave me a very reasonable price for the scope of work required, but continued to stay in touch and follow up when others didn't. My partner found Paliy and hired them for a major remodel project - remodeling our master bathroom. We needed to basically gut everything and redo it all - tile, vanity, lighting, tub and shower. We had just finished working with Pacific Bath Company for a simple LuxStone shower install for our guest bathroom, which was a total train wreck. After that project, I was frankly dreading working on a big remodel considering how difficult it was to work with Pacific Bath Company just for a single shower. I was expecting supply chain disruptions, employee turnover issues and delays in getting back to us with answers. But Nazar quickly proved to us that we had absolutely nothing to fear with Paliy, even though this was such a big project. He was very responsive. He was great at trying to set our expectations and find issues that could cause possible delays. Since we were still novices at remodeling, it was such a relief to work with someone who was patient and extremely detail oriented. For example, we selected and purchased all of the materials for the remodel. Nazar made sure to check the sizing for the medicine cabinets that I wanted to be inset into the wall. He made sure I understood that the fit wasn't ideal for the existing wall type. He explained that either there would be a slight amount that would not be completely flush or I could order a different size. I think the cabinets look great even though not completely flush with the wall (by only like - a half an inch) and we told him that we didn't need to reorder anything. What I appreciated though was that he wanted to make sure that for every single detail, down to the half an inch, our expectations were met. He was also great at making sure we understood our options. His electrician and tile guy were also a cut above the rest for sure. Everyone that came to our house (we continued to live in the house during the remodel, which was a bit tricky since I work from home) was incredibly polite. We expected a few hiccups here and there given the size of the project, but there wasn't any single issue that Paliy didn't make right. I think the bathroom is stunning, and it turned out better than I had imagined. I was shocked that they basically finished on time (even though we needed to order a custom glass door)! I would not hesitate to hire them again for another project. They were extremely dedicated to making sure the construction deadline was met. No question was left unanswered. The main thing I would have done differently (if I could do it again), was to have learned about them sooner and hired them to do my guest bathroom shower as well!!!! read more

When we started getting serious about doing a complete upgrade to our master bathroom, finding a contractor to do the job turned into a "bummer experience" for several months. Then, we came across Paliy Construction while out on a drive. We called them up. The owner made measures, read our written plan, and then provided a free estimate. About a week later we had a contract at a price much more reasonable than all the others. Paliy Construction agreed to a contract that was partially based on their detailed estimate and partly based on our general contract form (suitable for use in Washington State). As a former USAF aviator, attention to detail was a priority for me. I found Paliy very agreeable to my contract demands and last-minute addendums. The timeline is important as other companies couldn't get started for several months. Then we met the project supervisor, Nazar...surprisingly young but so smart about the industry and full of energy. Anytime there was a question or a problem, he was right on it with multiple solutions. His upbeat attitude and constant contact with us enabled his team to complete the job smoothly. For example, when a delivery of floor tile was short, he rearranged the project schedule so other work could be done. Making adjustments to the schedule kept the project on tract overall. As for craftsmanship, I am still in awe on how the custom walk-in shower was put together so beautifully. Here's another exampe. The floor tiles we selected produced a pattern when four are placed together, so, it was important to identify a starting point to start laying tile in order to achieve a high level of aesthetic pleasure. What surprised me the most was how all the tiles lined up perfectly with the centerline and the angles of all the other tiles in adjoining rooms...all due to the tile layer's experience and sharp eye for detail. One aspect not often mentioned in critiques are follow-ups. In our case we had a few minor discrepancies show up months later. But one call to Nazar got the ball rolling. We are more than satisfied with the follow-up actions. We started off a little dubious about the whole project and how things might turn out if we didn't find a decent contractor. We are simply delighted with our new bathroom and the great work performed by Paliy Construction craftsmen. read more

We bought a house in June and signed contract with Paliy Construction for replace the old carpet with Engineered wood floor. Since the materials delivery problems, the job can not be completed by days. However we worked together very well. They responded very quick every time we call (almost in one hour) and sent person coming to continue the job done in September. They are professional, friendly, responsible and skilled. Like he said every time I work for customer's project as the same as working at my home and enjoin it. When he finds some thing wrong on the transaction parts, he did his best and got beautifully results. We just used Paliy Construction in remodeling all three of our bathrooms. We are very happy with the result!! Considering the scope of the project and the logistics of having one bathroom available at all times, everything went pretty smoothly. We live out in the woods (at least 40 minutes north of Portland) so communicating was super important. Nazar was our project manager and was very attentive to what we wanted - he used email, text and phone to contact us and was always available to take our questions or our change orders. First, I would like to say that the young men who came and did the floor install were excellent. They were professional, friendly and skilled. I would hire them again. The owner Art was also communicative and friendly, very timely and fairly priced. We had a small finishing issue related to the baseboards being sealed, which may have been my fault for not clarifying at the start.
