I am baffled by the experience I just had in the parking lot of 7-11 and Senor Taco on Willamette Falls Dr in West Linn. As my husband and I had just picked up an order from Senor Taco and were backing out of our parking spot, headed toward the intersection, a Tesla with a Lamont Bros wrap all over it came just centimeters from crashing into our car at 30mph! The most reckless driving in a parking lot I've ever seen. Seriously could have killed someone. Thank god there wasn't someone trying to get across the lot at that moment as people frequently do in parking lots... the driver of this car laughed about the interaction as he walked into the 7-11. Tall, white, skinny, semi gray/black hair. Looked about 50 years old. Whoever owns this business I urge you to look into who is representing your company. As a lifetime resident of West Linn and a homeowner, I will never be looking into Lamont Bros for any work on my home due to this unfortunate experience. read more

My experience with Lamont Bros. was outstanding from the planning and design phase through demo and the creation of my new kitchen and laundry room. What sold me initially was my experience with Josh, the design consultant. He was honest about pricing and about exactly what I could expect if I chose Lamont Bros. Everything he said was 100% accurate throughout the job. He said that Lamont Bros. would be there through thick and thin and they absolutely were. There were a few bumps, due to subcontractor error, however I was never once worried that I would be left in the lurch to deal with those issues. Jeremy, the product manager and Caleb, the production coordinator, were right there to correct any issues and did so quickly. Their communication with me was excellent and they made sure that I knew exactly what was happening and when things would occur. I felt completely taken care of. My highest praise has to go to Padraig, the remodeling superintendent and David. Those two gentlemen showed up every day to do the hard, physical work. Each day they showed up exactly when they said they would. They were professional, kind and so much fun. They patiently answered my endless questions and it was a clear that they enjoyed their job and really liked working together. I looked forward to their arrival each day, as I knew that they would bring their positive energy, humor, strong work ethic and even their singing to the job. It was an absolute pleasure having them work in my house. Remodeling is stressful. However, Lamont Bros.' amazing staff and clear mission to do the right thing by their customers made the experience enjoyable. We worked with their designers, who provided a range of high-quality materials at a reasonable cost to choose from. After selecting the designs, they worked diligently to make sure the materials were delivered promptly and that we received all of the communication we needed to get our project moving forward. We were so impressed with their work that we elected to have them update our kitchen the following year. Our family could not have been more pleased with the work! Outstanding experience with Lamont Bros for our kitchen remodel! We had a complicated kitchen situation that badly needed renovation. Of all the companies I interviewed, no one was as responsive, friendly, organized, and clear as Lamont Bros. We finally decided on a 'Design/Build' solution because we knew it would remove the headache of ME as the foreman of the job. I'm so happy we made this choice. It costs a little more, but the stress and headache of the homeowner playing middle man aren't worth it. From initial conversations with Joseph, to design with Matt & Julie, to project management with Brenden, and then the actual construction with Zeb and his team...it was a spectacular experience start to finish. The things we loved about Lamont Bros: + Genuinely kind people who wanted to solve a problem for me and my family. They cared about us and our well being through the entire process. + Clarity on budget: Lamont Bros isn't the cheapest option. But they'll tell you what things cost and then gave me the option to source other options myself or complete items after. We had a great experience with Lamont Bros for our basement remodel and you'd be in good hands hiring them for yours. They took our existing unfinished basement and converted it into a brand new space that we love complete with a combo half bath/laundry room and family/office space. We had shopped around for a number of design-build firms and contractors and ultimately decided to go with Lamont because we liked the portfolio of work that we saw, they had good reviews, a clean CCB history, and being design-build would help us control the budget better. A few reasons we felt our project went well and we would recommend Lamont: * They were very good project managers. There are a lot of different little pieces (design, permitting, managing contractors, timelines, etc) to manage with a remodel project and we didn't want to have to manage it ourselves. They handled all these pieces and just pulled us in for key decisions. Nikki and Matt helped immensely with the up-front estimating and design to help us create a great space with our budget in mind. * The end quality of our basement is wonderful! Caleb and Steve did an amazing job every single day to make sure each piece was done correctly and to a high quality standard. They asked our opinion on exact finishes and found ways to up the design of the space when we got down to the nitty gritty. For example, we were second guessing our trim design decision on the windows in the plan a couple days before it was set to go in. We talked with Caleb and showed him our Pinterest board of window trim treatments to get his thoughts. He was excited to see our ideas and said he could make it happen, but it would require a change order. We were prepared for the change order since it was pretty last minute, but the next day Caleb came back with a great idea that wouldn't require the change order. He realized he had enough leftover material from the laundry shelf to make sills for the windows in the same style that we wanted! You can tell he cares about his craft and making things as good as they can be. * The project finished on time to the day. We have always heard about projects running wildly over so we were very pleased that the space was ready on the day they said it would be. * We had a small plumbing issue arise about 2 months after construction completed, but we called Lamont and they resolved the issue quickly and without any hassle. Overall, we were really happy with how it turned out and were kinda sad to not have Steve and Caleb around every day after the project was done, lol. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. The designer BASHARIA is highly unprofessional. She came to our home and told us the budget we had was excellent. Soon after, we went to the showroom for her presentation to find out she doubled our budget and told us she could not work with us if we didn't spend almost 650,000.00 to remodel a kitchen and bathroom with new floors and paint. She wanted us to pay 129,000.000 for a master bathroom remodel, and she added things like heated floors and all of these random nick-nacks that we NEVER asked for to increase the price. When she showed us "scratch-proof" floors, there was a visible scratch that she claimed was from moving around in her car, which made no sense to me. How are you going to sell me scratch proof floors with a huge scratch across it? read more

Selecting a construction company was a scary proposition for us, after hearing so many horror stories from neighbors and friends. Our master bathroom remodel was our first experience with such a large project and we wanted a company who would listen to our concerns, answer our questions, and do what they said they would do in the time frame they set forth, help us work within our budget and have the work done right. From the time we first contacted Lamont Bros, until our bathroom remodel was finished, we were consistently impressed with the professionalism, straight forward answers to our questions, guidance with selecting materials, the design process and the efficiency and outstanding work by the construction crew. The initial retainer was reasonable and we loved that we were able to pay weekly and not have to put a giant chunk of cash up at the beginning. The software used by the design team allowed to see what the bathroom was going to look like before the work started. At every step of the way, we were kept informed and updated on the progress. We selected the materials we wanted to use and from then on, there was pretty much nothing else for us to do, other than sit back and watch the progress unfold. The construction crew covered our floors and cleaned up each day. They even had a portable toilet delivered for the crew. We love our new walk in shower and all the other improvements to our bathroom. It is now a safe and beautiful place! The guidance and support we received from Joseph, Erin, Adrienne, Jeremy, Jeremiah, and the rest of the construction crew was superb. They were all a joy to work, friendly, knowledgeable, prompt and polite. We highly recommend Lamont Bros. and will continue to use their services for future projects. read more

Lamont Bros makes it simple to get through the entire process. We really enjoyed working with BaSharia on our design and vision. She really helped bring to life our ideas and wish lists! I appreciate Lamont taking the ownership to respond to our poor experiences. However, I continue to question the sincerity of their efforts in conjuring up a random 8 min video that attempts to somehow make the viewer forget the LAMONT caused a fire in our home in the middle of the night with children less than 20 feet away. Period. This was caused by them due to substandard practices that could have killed an entire family and/or burned our house. There is nothing else to say. Please do not use our experience as a platform to somehow act like your company is superior to any one else's. Your company was responsive after the event because I called you repeatedly and demanded you come and witness the aftermath yourself. You came, but it was with your tail between your legs because you knew you were at fault. I appreciate that you took our situation and used it to up your game. That does not, however, make you attractive to prospective clients. A real company that has integrity and honor in their craft would not require a "near miss" event to revert back to standard safe practices. I will remind you that my 6 year old could read the paint can left in that room (Again, 15 ft from kid's bedroom" indicating that oil-stained rags could spontaneously combust. And by the way, if you read the fire department report (when they came at 2:30am in to my house), they found oil-stained rags. Your video is incorrect so please tell the truth. They were your rags left on the Friday of a 3 day holiday weekend just feet from where my kids sleep (one simple idea: why not routinely remove your large industrial size garbage can and debris from the indoor work site daily or at least prior to long weekend to maximize i door air quality. This would have coincidentally avoided risking the lives of my family. Not sure why this simple move is such a novel one.) Parents, please visualize spontaneous combustion of rags leading to billowing smoke and fire in the middle of the night just feet from your kids sleeping. All from negligence from an overpriced renovation company. I will not go back and forth on this matter any further, so please spare some fancy online website rebuttal. This is a late review but felt it was good to let people know how everything has gone long after the project was done. Finished bathrooms and kitchen at the beginning of 2018. New quartz counters, back splash, sinks, lighting, and the master bathroom was completely redone. Everyone we worked with were friendly and accommodated our needs. The designer worked with us, the guys doing the job were nice enough to try and make the kitchen somewhat functional during the holiday break and they were very good and keeping things clean. A continuing problem was a particular supplier that wouldn't have things when they said they would so that caused many delays but the workers were very good at changing the schedule to do other things until they could get what they needed. One delay was the shower fixture and eventually we had to make a new choice which cost twice as much as the original. Hopefully they changed to a different supplier. Recently we had a supply line to a sink break and another was leaking. Got a plumber to fix it and he replaced all the supply lines ( 8 ) because they were cheap plastic and the rest of them would eventually fail also. Too bad a very expensive and nicely done remodeling project cut corners with plastic tubes instead of good ones that we now have. I contacted Lamont Bros. about this and they requested pictures of the broken lines and an invoice which I sent. Waited a bit and contacted them again and was told they'd get back to me but it's been a month and I haven't heard anything which is too bad. I gave them 5 stars because everything else still looks and functions great but this issue with the supply lines was a fail. read more

We met with Lamont Bros in April 2021, we were led down the path of discussion, design and NEVER made it further because they could not give us a price for our renovation. It seemed that they were quite "put off" that we did not sign on to the 400k dollar design and renovation of our kitchen and master bath. Lamont Bros will overcharge you for everything!!!! BEWARE. You will be paying for their office in West Linn, and all of their overhead. They are extremely kind, but also extremely unethical. We were very very disappointed in Lamont Bros. read more

We hired Lamont Bros to remodel two adjoining bathrooms in our older house. We had an initial idea of what we wanted and their designer did an excellent job helping us to refine our concept. He steered us to a good choice for the walk-in shower door and helped with numerous smaller details. The work crew was skillful, prompt, polite and friendly. Their work was excellent quality - even the smallest details. They cleaned up their work area each day and were considerate around our two cats. They found a small chip in our imported porcelain sink and arranged for a replacement without affecting the remodel schedule. The new bathrooms and extensive plumbing upgrades were completed on-time and on-budget. We would certainly hire Lamont again. They offer premium quality for a reasonable price. read more

Lamont completed a full kitchen remodel for us last fall. We purchased a home on a rehab loan and they did a great job of dealing with all of the paperwork headaches that went along with that type of loan. I had a pretty clear idea about what I wanted and they did a good job of executing the vision. Once they got started the work was completed on time and on budget - what more can you ask? It took a little longer than planned but the results exceeded our expectations. We needed flooring replaced in a home we purchased (The previous owners had carpet and a cat.). The timing was difficult with closing dates and moving dates, but Lamont Bros. worked with us to make it all work. I love the flooring that Joseph recommended! It really makes the atmosphere of the whole house. I appreciate the work crew - they went above & beyond, even pointing out a leak in the dishwasher that had not been seen before. The design part with Joseph went smoothly. We were impressed and decided to use his company for the work. The bid and actual remodel was a nightmare. The original estimate did not include a whole wall of sapele cabinets. To cut cost, we had to go with generic white ones. The crew who performed the work were nice but VERY young and inexperienced (wish I had met them before I hired Lamont Bros). There was no supervision of the young crew and the work product showed. The general contractor, David (Joseph's brother), did not have the same eye for detail or communication skills, and we only saw him onsite occasionally after we complain about the work product. What was supposed to be a 4-6 project turned out to be five months (and going). There were so many corner cutting and shoddy work. The company might be ok for very small projects, tile work, or design work, but I absolutely cannot recommend them if your project takes anything longer than a day. read more
