I really liked that this place was really clean and cute. It's in a pretty busy shopping center so be careful when you drive in and out of here. The prices were decent, but I've seen paleterias with cheaper prices. It was $2 for a chocobanana, $3 for a chocolate covered popsicle, and $3.25 for a large horchata. The chocobanana was really good because the chocolate shell covering was soft enough to where you didn't feel like your teeth were about to fall off when you bit into it, but not so soft to where it was melting. I also got to try the chocolate covered pecan flavored paleta which was pretty good, but a bit on the sweet side for me. They ran out of their chocolate covered strawberry paleta when I got there, otherwise I would have tried that. The best deal was the large horchata. For an extra 25 cents, you can upgrade to a large, and I definitely suggest that you do. It was huge, and a great size to share with someone else. I have been coming to this location for the past year and a half and although I love their snacks and ice cream the only reason why I can't give them 5 stars is because most of the people who work here are hella rude. Even when the line isn't that bad they always seem like they've got something better do to than answer my questions about what I'm about to order. I honestly feel like apologizing before hand..."I'm sorry I don't work there" to know what every item has or if they would recommend anything besides what I usually order. Ok, enough ranting about their customer service... We usually order just the paletas (rice, pecan or lime) but yesterday we tried the vanilla raspado with the lechera on top and it was amazing!!!(I asked her what lechera was and she said in Spanish - "It's lechera...just lechera" umm ok maybe if she would have said condensed milk (in Spanish, of course) instead of saying "lechera" over and over again I wouldn't have felt so stupid. Ugh, see I'm ranting again!!! Lol. Anyway, it was really really good, my boyfriend likes it better than the paletas so we have officially decided to get raspados instead of paletas the next time we go. Came for their chamango. The place was pretty empty but clean. They had a lot of yummy things posted on their wall so it was hard to decide what to get. The chamango was good but the mango used wasn't ripe so it was a bit sour for my taste. The slush was more icy than I'd like too. Mmmmmm, paletas! I love the paletas (popsicles) from this place. They're frozen with real fruit inside...what a treat! They also serve other items besides paletas, such as elote (corn in a cup), nachos, aguas frescas, you name it. This place is located right next to the always busy Bank of America. Stopped by here for dessert after having tacos across the street. Was desperate to try a mangonada after seeing all the Instagram pics from people in southern California! I thought it was great that they let you do half mango, half strawberry. Variety is the spice of life! Was disappointed that the fruit on top seemed to be frozen and not fresh cut but oh well. Loved the chili tamarind candy straw. They also sell a variety of Mexican candies I remember from my childhood near the front counter. My friend got one scoop of cookies and cream and one scoop of pistachio in a cone. I highly recommend the pistachio because it wasn't a super strong artificial flavor that you get at most places and even had bits of nuts throughout. However, the ice cream was a bit soft and melted quickly. We enjoyed our treats on one of the benches that line the wall but wished they had sit down tables.
