I have a few issues: 1.) I was told to pay $400, where $350 was for a cleaning and $50 was for the first month of service. It feels like bait-n-switch, as he told me I was to far out of his route. It was last week, he may get me the $50 back, I'm not sure. 2.) I asked him to replace the Clearray bulb, part of the ozonater system. I sent a picture of the filter and bulb. He texted, after cleaning and taking the check, that he did not do Lighting. Ozonator is not lighting. I wish he had told me earlier. (again feels like bait-n-switch) 3.) The house did not move, it's 9 miles from the office, towards the center of the service area. Why is it to far out of the route, if others are serviced in Morgan Hill? He did a GREAT job cleaning the spa. For that I give the 2 stars. I feel like there was something more as to why he won't do regular service. He gave 2 reasons, location and Bromine. I can switch to Chlorine, but can not move my house. If he knew the location from our first text, why take the job? (edited after response, I lowered it to one star. I'm sorry it was filthy/dirty. I told you it went a few months needing the filter, I sent pictures. You did not call or try to reach me with concerns. You cleaned the spa, ignored the clearray bulb, and took the check for the cleaning and service. Then told me you were not going to do the service. You should have asked for a check for the cleaning, rather than taking payment for something you had already decided not to do.) read more

Made appointment with Jonathan for our annual pool filter cleaning through IM and only then realized that I skipped a year in between, yikes! Anyway Jonathan arrived sharply at the appointed time and begin the process. As you can image the filter was pretty "caked" up. Jon took his time and meticulously cleaned up all the crud, especially in between filters. He also replaced the air relief valve which was aged and could leak. Jon is very professional, his prices are reasonable and does a fantastically clean job. I highly recommend Jonathan of Palermo Pool for your pool needs! 5/ 24/18 : Jon came today for our annual pool filter cleaning. As usual he arrived on time, the cleaning was neatly done, my filter pressure went back to the recommended 11- 12 psi. Having a clean filter is 50 pct of a clear sparkling pool. I do the weekly maintenance myself but I still need Jonnathan for more complicated job like cleaning the filter or fixing the pump troubles. I would rate higher than 5 stars if I could. Sent a message last night thru Yelp for an estimate. Message sent on a Friday night after business hours. I was blown away that Jonathan responded and answered some questions I had. I'm sure he is pretty busy this time of year but he made available some time to schedule an onsite estimate the following Monday, as I wouldn't expect anyone to work on a weekend. I'm excited to finally get my pooled turned around. As a disabled combat vet, I'm limited on heavy work so being able to have Jonathan take care of it is a God-send. I am a first timer pool owner and couldn't figure out why my pool cleaner stopped working on the first day we moved into our new home. I called Jon and he was very nice on the phone to help me troubleshoot the issue. After getting quotes from multiple folks, I decided to go with Jonathan Heying with Palermo spa & pool. Jonathan arrived on time as scheduled and spent more than an hour for orientation. During the orientation, he was really patience to answer my all questions. He explained me all the necessary things to maintain my pool comfortably and also provided the notes to refer in future. He also helped me to clean my filter for no cost for the first time. He is very knowledgeable, very patient, and honest guy. I called him twice later as I have more questions and he called me back right away. You can also text his cell phone if you have further questions, very prompt to reply. I found him very economical as compare to other folks in bay area. I noticed most of other folks not available on weekend and they will call you back on week days when you leave voice message. I also wanted him to come for next two months for maintenance and was ready to pay him but he was honest enough to say i don't need his services till summer and will be wasting money. I am going to call Jonathan whenever I need any pool services and I feel very comfortable now to have somebody like him available always on my back.
