(I actually go to their other branch in 14e but there doesn't seem to be a listing for that one so I'll just write it here.)
I feel like Palais des Thés is one of the hidden gems on the Parisian tea scene. Lots of people know Mariage Frères but I noticed far fewer people (even among Parisians) are familiar with this brand. Perhaps because they don't have a salon de thé where you can sit down. Nonetheless, if you're more into green tea or white tea (perfumed or otherwise), and care about higher quality tea leaves, this brand should be given higher priority than MF I think. The tea leaves are of better quality, and overall it tastes and smells "more natural" and more delicate. My favorites so far are their Christmas blend, "Vive les Fêtes!" (Green tea that smells like panettone) and "Thé du Hammam" (green tea that smells like strawberry and cream!) as well as an infusion blend "Jardin numéro 25". There is also a Japanese green tea that I thought was very good (but whose name I can't recall at the moment.) I also like that if you buy a certain amount, they give you samples of other teas to try out. Some are offered by the gram, some (usually the more popular ones) come in mousseline tea bags, or both. I'd definitely recommend this place if you are a true tea connoisseur. If you don't like tea in general and are more into strongly perfumed black teas that "mask" the flavor of tea, then I'd recommend MF first. read more
